From my initial interaction with their customer service team to the final installation, the entire experience was excellent. Tyler C., the installer, was especially impressive. He took the time to walk me through how to change my filter and helped set up my Wi-Fi connection, making sure everything was working perfectly before he left. I've also been a member of their club membership for the past year and have consistently had great experiences with their plumbers. They are knowledgeable, show up on time, keep everything clean, and are always polite. On one visit, they even brought my trash cans in from the curb, which really stood out. Overall, I'd describe it as 5-star service at a 5-star price. Do not use this company. At my property manager's request under Ohio Law, she told me to call a plumber. So, after looking around, I fownd the number for Help. After a heavy rain, I headed to my basement to do a load of laundry. I noticed I had water almost even to my bottom step. They price simple repairs that are on the verge of legalized theft. The short story. I bashed in my ribs on my left side two weeks ago. Breathing hurt. Then I realized our 29 YO frost free faucet had burst inside a basement block wall. Too sore to fix in myself I called HELP to repair it. The technician showed up and I got a price of $588 to do the job. Suddenly my ribs didn't hurt so bad. I went to the hardware store, spent $70 on a new 12" frost free faucet, a Shark Bite elbow and 24" of 1/2" copper pipe. It took me 10 minutes, bad ribs and all to fix this. I used to teach simple plumbing repairs to high school kids in my Basic Construction course I taught. You can learn to do this on YouTube. Don't let unscrupulous companies steal from you. The technician that they sent out was awesome BTW. When he realized I could fix it myself he started giving me all kinds of advice that I appreciated. read more

We have had nothing but excellent service from HELP! My father had his air conditioning unit serviced about a month ago and the technician mentioned that it is toward the end of its life (19 years old) and cannot be filled with it's coolant any longer. So we had a salesman come to the house named Garrick. He was super friendly and polite, and explained every single aspect and option. We did not feel that we were being oversold or told to buy something that we didn't need. We chose an option and arranged for installation the next week. Installation was on May 7 and our team of installers was Darren Reynolds and Justin Pence. They arrived right on time, were very conscientious of tracking any dirt in, and always told us what the next step was, whether it was turning off the breaker or shutting down the hot water to install a new line to the humidifier. They were very timely and polite and did a great job, walking me through at the end to explain everything including any maintenance I would need to do myself and how to use the thermostat app. I would definitely HELP for any future needs. read more

We put a little bucket under the drain and noticed a couple of days later there was water in it, so we called again and explained what the problem was and hadn't been fixed. Ken Cox came the second time and put some putty around it and replaced a washer. This was all covered by our 89 dollar service call. Every time they came they were pushing their service insurance, We had to call a third time because it was still leaking. Ken Cox came back and told us it was shot and needed $360 new pipe and once again the service insurance push. We haven't needed a plumber for years and Marty said "they fix it right the first time", but we still didn't buy the contract and paid full price because I don't think we will be using them again. They are nice, clean technicians but not sure about quality work. Not sure if we paid a second service call but can't tell by receipt and hate waiting for techs to keep coming back. read more

Updated 02/2025 - After a few back and forth communications and visits from third parties HELP made good on the damage that their workers had caused. There was no push back on the resolution once they realized the extent of the issue. I appreciate that they stepped forward and took care of the issue. Club Membership means nothing. Not only did I have to wait a full week for "priority front of line" service, when it did get to the day of my scheduled appointment, they called and RESCHEDULED me again. Terrible. Not worth the money. Had a new water heater installed. Would have done it myself but just arriving back home after a sick child in the hospital I was not in the right state of mind to do it. We got absolutely hosed on the install cost. My own fault for agreeing to it but I had other priorities to worry about. Got an itemized invoice after asking multiple times. $1300 in overhead?? Right. Although we had a full standard HVAC system, we upgraded to a 2 Stage High Efficiency and had the AC compressor moved from the back of the house to the side. I called Help once and they unclogged my drain. It has a lot of roots. I'd been using Zen Plumbing prior to that but they're a little expensive. Help was reasonable. Well, the 2nd time I called them for roots, they got the auger stuck in my drain. I've had probably a hundred plumbers out here in the last 7 years, and none of them had this happen. When I asked them to get it unstuck, I was told it would 3000 dollars for a jet that Zin's only charged 950 for the get it unstuck. I don't think I'm responsible for paying to get it unstuck. I've talked to a lawyer and it's going forward. Would definitely not recommend. Sounds to me like they did it on purpose to make money off me.We'll see in court. read more

Had Help out twice. Once to clear a storm drain and the next to do the maintenance on the AC. The bid on the clearing the drain turned into a $6,000 bid. Which I did not accept. With a couple of friends and 3 hours of work and less than $500. With over half of that being for an excavator to dig a pipe less than 2 feet down. The maintenance on the AC turned into a request for $1,475. $255 of that was labor to install a capacitor that was under warranty. To show me the capacitor needed to be replaced, he brought it into the house. (1 screw and unplugging 4 wires). He reinstalled the bad capacitor, then asked me if I wanted to replace it. I figured for something that easy, maybe what $50. Nope $255. You guys do what you want, but unless. you're just willing to throw money away, I think I would try somebody else. read more

Stay away. Our first experience was great. The plumber that came out identified a few issues other than what we originally needed done and was able to work with us on pricing. Signed us up for their "club" to have our HVAC system checked in the spring and fall and priority appointments. Called a few times since and their prices are just way too high. The most recent was almost $600 to change out 4 valves under our bathroom sinks. This included a "diagnostic" fee even with telling the plumber exactly what we wanted done. Other than our first appointment, we haven't received any receipts for services. Called to cancel their club and was told we would need to repay our "savings" since it's a year membership. Will definitely be canceling as soon as that year is up. read more

My old furnace had developed holes in the heat exchanger so I already knew that I needed a new one; I signed the contract with HELP last Friday. Today Darren Reynolds and Phil Carnes showed up at exactly 8:00, put down tarps to keep from tracking mud in my house (it was raining), and did a very nice job of installing my new Lennox furnace. The installation involved changing input & exhaust pipes, removing dampers, and fixing a few other things that had been incorrectly done in the past. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also showed me how to operate my new thermostat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Darren even put in a couple of new 8-ft. fluorescent tubes for me in addition to the assigned tasks (I had the bulbs but could not reach the fixtures). Told me the whole line from the city shut off needed to be replaced at a cost of $8,800 which is a lot of money for anyone on a fixed income . So the next day I had another plumber over and he fixed it in about 20 minutes at a cost of $100.00. They tried to scam me but I am not stupid,just stay away from them. read more

Have had HELP to the home three times. Once for a shower repair. Excellent communication, reliable, on time, but seemed a bit pricey. Had them out again for an HVAC issue. Buying their annual plan differed cost. Again, great communication, reliable on time. Had them out a third time when AC was not working properly. They charged $485 for a thermostat that should have cost no more than $150. So good company - Safe, reliable, etc. BUT VERY EXPENSIVE!!! read more

HELP provided a wonderful plumber on the July 4th holiday weekend when no one else I contacted would be available until the following week. What a mess I had with water leaking from the back of the toilet tank and a frozen water shutoff valve. The plumber arrived within the time they stated he would and was quick and thorough. Matt's thoughtful manner had me asking him, if he had time, to repair another plumbing issue. He also noticed I was dealing with a hard water problem based on how the toilet bowls looked and provided advice on how to address. My parents called HELP when their sewer line backed up into their home because they saw the ad that they will unclog ANY line for $97. Well when HELP got their they quoted them $5900. Then after they started the job they put a camera inside and told them them it would be another $2000 to flush out the line. Overall they ended up spending $7995. My parents are 82 years old and on a fixed budget and I feel they were misled by HELP. The worst part is after all was said and done MSD came out and said they would have blown out the line for them for FREE. The people at HELP come across as very nice but they are not honest. They also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Well my parents are not at all satisfied and still have a looming credit card bill. read more

Long story short I was charged $350.00 by one of your so called plumbers that after working for 3 hours on it finally said, I think I've only poked a small hole through it and it won't last long. This idiot didn't even know what a pair of vise grips I had handed to him was !! Gimme a break. 2 days later, he was right about one thing, it clogged up again. Know what I did Justin Turner? I called a local plumbing company ( Tony's Heating and Plumbing),and they came out and in 15 MINUTES unclogged my sewage line!! 15 minutes Justin Turner!!! These guys are SCAM artists and try and upswell services and parts not needed. More than one tech repeats same message. My experience was two techs on two separate occasions trying to sell a motor starter capacitor for $800. If the blower runs, the cap doesn't need replaced AND a starter cap doesn't cost more than $50 and takes about 15 min to replace if you are slow. Stay away from these guys. read more

And to make matters worse, the day I talked with them and scheduled them to come out, they also talked me into an annual service plan. After they didn't show up the next day like planned, I told them not to bother and to cancel my maintenance agreement. Even after canceling it, I'm still getting charged for it. Looks like this fight is go go into the second round. It shouldn't be this difficult to cancel a service after one day. Especially since they never even made it to my house. If we could give negative stars, I would. The only reason they get one star is because I can't post this without it. I just got off the phone trying to cancel this again. The girl said she couldn't do it, that I had to do it through a help website., and that I won't get a refund for what they have already taken from my account. Looks like it's small claims court if the website doesn't refund and cancel this. Small claims court will cost them a lot more than it will me. Like many on here lately I am beyond disappointed with the "service plan" offered by HELP!. Let's start with the 96% right the first time. I can't believe that is true, not just because mine is 0% but because they can't even tell you what they are tracking it at. Like others I was surprised that mid July was the first time they could schedule routine summer maintenance. THEN they had to cancel because they had too many emergencies. I know they had too many emergencies the day before as well because they accidentally called me the day before thinking my appointment was on a different day. When I called to reschedule I was quoted an earliest date 5 weeks after my original appointment. In addition when I asked to speak to a service supervisor (not the first time) I was told they don't come to the phone and they would reach out to me in 3-4 days after the call center rep sent an email. My displeasure started well before this experience when after spending the money for them to install a new furnace and AC they had to come back 6 weeks later because I had no heat. I had to drag out of the technician that his assessment was that the set up was incorrect versus the equipment being faulty. Just some information for you to consider when evaluating HELP! Nichole R. I called HELP to take advantage of their drain clean out special. The techs came out and did a great job. It only took about 30 mins to get the drain in front of my garage cleaned out and draining again. My issue arose with their subscription program. The same tech that did the clean out explained that the subscription program included 3 key things: 1. an AC and heating annual inspection/tune up of the system, 2. an annual inspection of plumbing and gas to look for leaks, and an electrical inspection to check for grounded wires, problems, etc. The electrical inspection was a big plus for me since I'm in an older house. The tech even tried to schedule the electrical inspection for me but was told by dispatch that their system was down and to just call back. HELP called to set up the AC inspection and when I asked about setting up the electrical inspection I was told, "we don't do that anymore". Really?! I signed up for the subscription just over a week ago. When I said I wanted to cancel, they said I had to pay for the entire year, even though they aren't providing the service I was sold. After a very nice discussion with Holly, a manager, they did cancel the subscription. Holly was very helpful and understanding. But this felt like a classic bait and switch. I get it if the company was losing money on the electrical inspections, but they're still selling this service and staff should be kept up to date on this stuff. I'd use them again for a drain clean, but can't say I'd recommend for anything else. read more
