Hill Air is amazing! I had been using Bryant heating and air conditioning company for years to service my units. I had come home from a long weekend trip to notice my air was at 84 degrees. It was unbearably hot. I called that same company in the morning and they sent out a technician. He told me all kinds of problems I had with my units and they both needed to be replaced. I had asked several times for him to just clean my air conditioner and he refused. He told me I needed to buy all new for 12,000. That's when I decided to get a second opinion. I called Hill Air! I first spoke to a man named Bruce who was very informative and super nice. He walked me through a few scenarios of what he thought it might be just from my explanations. He then had me set up an appointment with a lady named Pat. She was extremely helpful and got me an appointment that same day. I was very grateful for the fast response! Right on time, Mark the technician came to my house. He told me I didn't need a new unit and that my air conditioner needed cleaning badly. He also found what was wrong with my air conditioner (3 others overlooked the problem). He fixed it the same day. My air was working great within a few short hours. I was fully expecting him to say I needed to replace my units. He was not a typical salesman. He was honest. He explained everything in full detail and treated me fair. He also signed me up for a preventative maintenance program and gave me a discount on the part that he replaced. I was relieved that the cost of the the repair, the maintenance program, and the service call was actually reasonable. He came back out and cleaned my air conditioner and my furnace which were both included in the preventative maintenance program. I am so thankful that I didn't take the first guys word for it and spend 12,000 on a new unit when mine was working fine. Needless to say I will never go back to Bryant. We have been dealing with Hill Air since we moved to Cincinnati 12 years ago. Our house had an excellent system with 4 years left on parts and warranty with Hill, so we were "grandfathered" in. We have never had any issue with promptness to addressing a problem or scheduling preventative maintenance. Bruce Sibert in sales and his technicians helped us prep the duct work in our basement in order to finish the space. They were helpful in problem solving getting as much of the ducts up in the rafters as possible. We were thoroughly impressed that not only did they accomplish head room in our basement, but better air flow especially to our second floor bedrooms by installing more efficient duct runs. As fate would have it, less than a year after finishing our basement (which included closeting in our furnace) our now 18yo unit blower fan died. Hills technician came out at 6pm on a Friday to look at it and gave us our options. We decided to replace since our unit was nearing the end of its lifespan (and we were also aware of a freon leak beyond the dead blower) On that Sunday afternoon, Bruce Sibert was at our house discussing new units. He was informative and helpful, showing us different options on his iPad for efficiency and cost differences. We signed an order on a system that day. Due to our family schedule in the early part of the week, our installation was scheduled for that Friday. The technicians called about 10 minutes out and arrived promptly. I believe at one point there were four vans and five technicians working on removing our old system and installing the new! There was a slight delay as the furnace portion was in a carrier truck being delivered the office, but I remained well informed by the technicians here while one of them drove back to Fairfield to wait and get the furnace as soon as the truck arrived. My air conditioner recently started giving out after 19 years and it was time to replace it. Since, my furnace also was experiencing difficulty this past winter I thought it prudent to have both units replaced. It was more cost effective and if you can afford to change both out, I would recommend that you do. It will save you in the long run. Hill-Air installed both units in one day, with the workers being very kind. No messing around with these guys. They worked 8 hours straight without even stopping for lunch. They did a super job, cleaned up after themselves and my air conditioner and furnace look fantastic. It looks as if the units were installed with the original construction of the house. This is important since I have a finished basement and my furnace is in our laundry room. New piping had to be run and the guys were able to work around my installed ceiling tiles and managed to replace and install a new furnace without breaking any of my ceramic floor tiles. We have used ONLY Hill-Air since we purchased our home 25 years ago. We have NEVER been disappointed with their work. They have never tried to sell us parts we didn't need. During one of our seasonal visits (we do 2 a year) the technician let us know there was a part that will need repaired soon. He let us know we could wait until the next visit, it should easily make it that far before needing repair. The next time he came he said we could wait another visit if we needed to. We waited through 4 visits before it became essential. He didn't have to be honest with us, we didn't know any different. When it came time to get a new air conditioner, he was very honest with us and didn't even try to sell us the biggest unit. He went through the capabilities of each unit and how it would effect our home and then let us choose. Absolutely no pressure. I can not say enough good things about this company. Even the customer service is stellar. They actually answer the phone, and do so promptly and are so polite when we call. You will not be disappointed with this company. read more

It was time for a new HVAC system on my elderly parents home. After receiving formal quotes from four different companies Hill-Air was awarded the job. Pricing was one factor but so was the equipment they offered (Carrier) and the detail of their quote which specified every component and detail of the installation. On install day a crew of three techs showed up and went straight to work. They operated like a team and each guy clearly knew his trade. Installation was flawless and they had the new system up and running the first time. Installation included new outdoor AC unit, new copper line set and electrical disconnects, new furnace and thermostat as well as any sheet metal modifications required. If you haven't already figured this out there is a shortage of most skilled trades so getting good ones can be hit or miss. Hill-Air clearly has the good ones. I recommend this company without reservations. I will now be using them for service calls and maintenance on my home as well. read more

I have used Hill Air since 1988 when I bought my new home in Liberty Township. The builder used Carrier products and Hill Air did the furnace/AC installation. I purchased their maintenance contract then and have been 100% satisfied with their service. And when, after more than 20 years, the original furnace/AC was done, I hired Hill Air to replace my heating/air-conditioning units. Today, their service rep showed up on time for my annual winter evaluation, checked my furnace, and explained everything he completed to me in a clear fashion. I have always found their pricing and their service work to be excellent. I highly recommend their twice yearly maintenance contract; I attribute the longevity of the equipment in my home to these spring/winter service appointments. Roy H. did a full evaluation of our house and our needs and presented a few options. Ron T. did the total heating and AC installation; furnace, central air conditioner, all duct work, vents in the floors, gas line, flues, thermostat, etc. The job Ron did with the installation and setup was exceptional. I watched Ron do most of the installation and I could tell he had extensive experience and was committed to doing the highest quality of work. I chose Hill-Air somewhat randomly off of the internet when I was looking for a local company that could fix our A/C on a weekend. Billy Nugent came out on a Sunday, and demonstrated his considerable knowledge and experience, as well as professionalism and transparency in the way that he worked. My A/C was on its last legs, so I ended up replacing it a month or so later, and Hill-Air applied the cost of the service call to the new A/C. The installation was well executed, and the Hill-Air team were happy to explain anything along the way. We have a higher efficiency unit now, and have really appreciated having reliable A/C. It was Memorial Day weekend, I have been helping an elderly neighbor who is in the process of moving. On Friday his temp was not getting below 77deg in his condo, it was the first extremely warm day of the season and I thought he had just turned on and it would cool off thru the night. I had a lot to do on a Saturday so didn't get back to check on him till early eve 7-8pm it was still 77deg!! Ever since purchasing our high end heat pump we've maintained the prepaid maintenance each spring and fall. Each visit brings a familiar face, such as Mark's ever smiling countenance this autumn. Not only was Mark prompt that Saturday morning, he recognized our home, the unit make/model, and that we have a very people oriented cat. We needed an AC checkup. I called on a Monday morning in early June hoping for a summer appointment. They asked when worked best for me. I said it didn't matter right now. They said they could do 3-5 on Wednesday, only two days later. Thank you cancellations! At just before 2, the technician called saying they had finished other appointments early? I agreed and he was there 20 minutes later. He put the footies on and went the basement. He asked if we had another filter, we did not. He said it's really dirty and needed to be changed. We've been customers of Hill-Air for 35 years. The preventive maintenance plan is fantastic and Tyler has been out to our house the last 2 or 3 times. They installed our new Carrier furnace about 5 years ago and a EcoBee smart thermostat that I absolutely love! Our air conditioning unit is about 20 years old and the preventive maintenance has been keeping it running great a lot longer than we could have hoped. Despite the fact that it's still running great, Tyler can see that we won't be able to do that much longer; we'll be having them install our new Carrier air conditioning unit before next summer. 6:15 PM on a week night my AC stops working. When I called Hill-Air, I spoke to someone on staff. She was knowledgeable and offered different options. I agreed to have a tech come to the house at overtime rate. In less than an hour Chris called me. We walked through multiple options over the phone to keep from having an on-site visit. In the end, Chris had to come and work on the unit. Chris was very professional and provided quality service. I was delinquent in scheduling my maintenance visit. This past Wednesday, December 7, 2022, a Hill Air technician performed maintenance on our heating system. We had been on a call list and were able to be moved up 2 weeks due to a cancellation. The technician was Tyler who performed a most thorough inspection and testing of our system. He adjusted several components to give us a better heating performance and explained what he was doing and why. He was professional and efficient. And our big dog loved him as he's a dog lover himself. He is one of several very capable technicians who have serviced our HVAC systems over the years.
