As far as May M. giving 2 stars, I might suggest taking some responsibility for the delay in your process by (1) waiting an entire week to get them your documents, and (2) waiting 3-4 days to make sure your email was received. When I have asked for rush service, Henry and Latoya have done their best to accommodate my needs, and most of the time have been able and come through. Let me preface this review by saying that I have had experience in dealing with companies that do this type of work; and I can tell you that it is sort of a hit and miss thing. As a careful shopper, I contacted three companies. One did not get back to me, one was too expensive and I also did mention to Henry and Latoya that this one other company that I did business with, but will not longer do so, because of a botched a job. I read the reviews of Help-U-Serve and they all had five start ratings; so I decided to give it a shot and go with a local business: I initially met with Latoya and Henry. We discussed the particulars of the issues at hand. I had a complex case that required exact procedural steps to be followed. Henry effected service and gave me a call to let me know the status. The documents were served quicker than I expected. Although I paid for the standard rate, the docs. were handled on what would be considered a rush job. They were unable to serve at a private address despite a few attempts. Most of the time, they went to the location when no one was there but still took my money... They were also very unprofessional with phone and email communication; plain rude on a few occasions. I found this service on line while I was in Oakland, California trying to get visitation with my grandson. I called at 2:30pm and Henry showed up and ready to serve my papers at 3pm. The price was outstanding for the service I needed. He tried to serve my papers at 4pm on the same day but we didn't have success, however he woke up at 5am the following morning and met me at the location for another attempt and he was successful. He served the papers and he also recorded the entire process so the court would not have any problems with the service. Henry was very professional and so pleasant to work with. In my case, I was a master tenant who had the misfortune of a playing major role in a sub-tenant horror flick, starring Z. By the time I called upon HelpUServe, the other sub-tenant and I (we were three in the house) had endured three months of harassment and deliberate disturbance to our peaceful and quiet enjoyment which was extreme to the extent that the other sub-tenant moved out to seek refuge with family friends. When asked to give her notice, Z refused saying, "Lawyer up." In her last month under agreement, when Z unilaterally decided not to pay rent and communicated intent to draw down her security deposit in lieu, I turned to HelpUServe after reading the review of the other master tenant who posted here.
