I've worked with Sarah for both of my kids. Most recently, I had Sarah help with my 6-month-old. She used to sleep through the night, but suddenly, we were experiencing erratic night wakings 4-5x, and we ended up doing 1-2 night feedings when previously we didn't have to do any. I thought it was a sleep regression and things would get better, but they never did. 2 months went by, and I decided that I needed help. Originally, I hired Sarah to help with sleep training, but I ended up learning a lot more about feeding than I anticipated. My daughter's weight has been dropping off the growth chart, and I've always been struggling with both nursing and bottle feeding for months - trying different bottles, nipple sizes, feeding positions, and feeding schedules. Everyone around me told me that babies will drink to their content and not worry about the amount they're taking. 100% one of the best investments we've ever made. Working with Sarah has literally changed our lives and I could not recommend her enough. She not only helped improve our baby's sleep but also gave us helpful advice on parenting that made our lives a lot easier.  Having heard about her book from my sister, I reached out to her directly for a consultation, as our baby was a notoriously terrible sleeper and I needed the greatest chance of success as soon as possible. At the time, our baby woke up every ~15 minutes throughout the entire night (even when being held!) with her longest stretch of sleep being ~40 min (IF we were lucky). All of her naps were 28 minutes or less. She could only be bounced back to sleep on the yoga ball and we were about ready to burn it. TLDR - I should've called Sarah months before I did. Our older child had been a great sleeper for over 2 years, so we really thought we had the whole sleep thing nailed. Last September, she suddenly started waking up in the middle of the night, multiple times a night, almost every night. Then, she started resisting bedtime--she would repeatedly come out of bed (sometimes this continued for over an hour), and it would often escalate into a massive tantrum. We got her to be a great sleeper before, so we should be able to do it again, right? We read every article on the internet, and we discussed and theorized and experimented nonstop. After almost 6 months of this, we were at our wits' end. We would have a fantastic day together, where she was her delightful 2-year-old self, but we would end each day with everyone in tears and feeling miserable (not to mention the sustained exhaustion on top of that). She had us keep a detailed log of our day, and then she analyzed it and came up with a plan. Helping babies AND parents sleep! We are first time parents..we read the books, the articles, tried the Snoo. None of it worked. - Naps were solely done in the baby carrier with a lot of movement and patting from us and was obviously not going to work out long term. - Bedtime took 2 hours from start to finish, with about 20 night wakings, she was LOUD (whining, trying to get out of her Snoo swaddle), and maybe 7 hours (on a good night) Sarah used our knowledge on our daughter to create a game plan that we felt comfortable with and that she thought would work best for our LO. Our daughter was about 10 months old when we realized that our sleeping situation was not sustainable. She would awaken several times throughout the night, with multiple feedings, and would have trouble falling back asleep each time. We started researching sleep training and sleep consultants a few months ago, as our 11 month old has never slept through the night, nor has he been able to sleep in his crib. We started co-sleeping, which would give us a good few hours of sleep, but both myself and my husband would wake up with sore backs from being kicked all night. Coupled with poor naps, our typically happy little guy was getting sick often and was cranky at bedtime. My husband and I initially reached out to Dr. Sarah as our just-turned-3 year old was giving us the hardest time at bedtime, often resulting in 2-3 hours of stressful attempts at getting him down to sleep in his own bed. I should preface that we found ourselves in this predicament after I made the decision to wean him (from breastfeeding) a month prior to his 3rd birthday. A few months prior to this, we had transitioned him to his own bed/room, but I was still breastfeeding him to sleep for naptime and at night time. While we had successfully weaned, we were left with a very confused little guy who did not possess strategies for getting himself to sleep and wanted Mama right next to him all night. Once we finally got him to sleep, he'd wake up several times overnight and was hard to console, not wanting breast milk but also not able to calm or settle himself down to sleep. Both my husband and I were so exhausted from the rocking and me nursing when we found helping babies sleep. Sarah saved my sanity and my relationship with my family. I know it seems hyperbolic, but if you are reading these reviews, then you know just how damaging sleep deprivation can be. I always knew that babies woke up frequently in the night, however, I never knew how hard it would be to GET babies to sleep. And I never knew about sleep regressions. And leaps, and oh, all those fun things you discover once you have your first baby. Our son used to sleep well (through the night!) until the first dreaded regression around 4 months (that lasted well into the end of the 5th month). He started taking hours to put to bed, he stopped sleeping through the night, he started waking every 2-3 hours, and he would only nap in my arms or his father's arms (preferably while nursing). I started to dread bedtime and nap time, I was irritable, frustrated, and, well, it was a really challenging time. The lack of sleep and frustration around my baby not GOING to sleep (and staying asleep) was driving me mad, and affecting my relationship with my husband and family. We tried to sleep train him ourselves, but our son did not take to it and would cry endlessly... we knew we needed an expert's help! We got Sarah's information from a friend, and hiring her for one-on-one coaching was the best decision I ever made. She devised a detailed plan that was tailored to our son's temperament and our sleep goals (to have him fall asleep independently for bedtime and naps in his own crib). I wish there were more stars to review Dr Sarah! Her experience, empathy, and confidence were so vital in me getting my 2.5 yo twin boys to start sleeping independently. When I reached out, they were co-sleeping with me and they would take forever to sleep and wake up multiple times at night needing help to go back to sleep. It was brutal. Prior to the co-sleeping, my kids used to sleep in separate rooms independently in their cribs because I was nervous they would wake each other, and I used to keep the doors closed and tiptoe around the house. My whole approach to their sleep was fear-based. I wasn't sure if they were ready to sleep in the same room independently on big beds. I wasn't sure if rewards would work for my kids either because that was something I had never used with them before. But with Dr. Sarah's help, we figured out a plan and actually kept evolving it until it fit exactly to something that would work for our family. Dr. Sarah's ability to think different and not ask us to use a single approach that usually works for many families was absolutely key in getting us to success. She asked us to keep things simple: don't buy special beds, use what you have, and asked me to do gentle transitions. When I started, I had so many doubts and assumptions and trepidations about the whole thing, but her calm confidence has truly made a difference in how I approach sleep now and has made me the calm confident leader my kids need. And by the way, people are surprised to learn about 2.5 yo twins sleeping independently in their own beds -- it is possible! And it is fine, you're not leaving them on their own -- bond with your kids during the day and at bedtime. You don't need to cuddle at night to have a strong connection with your kids. It depends on your outlook but the way I see it is it allows everyone to have solid night sleep which is the only way to recover and relax for adults, and has important implications for kids' growth and development. I felt that keeping my kids dependent on me for going back to sleep was almost harsh that they need help for such a basic need which I knew they could do on their own and be empowered. Dr. Sarah has also been a resource to me beyond sleep and the techniques she has shared are about parenting in general, something as adults, we are just left to our own devices to learn on the fly! We could not recommend Sarah any higher! She helped us with sleep training our 5 month old son and our whole family is now benefitting from it with restful sleep and consistent schedules. Sarah saved my life. My 5 1/2 month old baby boy, who was a pretty decent sleeper the first couple of months, started waking up every hour of the night and was a terrible napper after he turned 4 months old. I was getting no sleep and since my husband was taking care of my other son (2yo), who's also a terrible sleeper, I was alone handling my youngest baby all day and night. I tried other sleep training methods (the Ferber CIO method) and it did not work (I really, really tried, but my baby would literally cry for hours without letting up). A huge thank you to Sarah who helped us get our 11 week old to fall and stay asleep in his bassinet! Prior to working with Sarah, our baby needed to be rocked to sleep and held for naps and a good portion of the night in order to stay asleep. Although we had heard that 11 weeks was too early to do any sort of sleep training, we scheduled an in-person consultation with Sarah because we were exhausted and none of the advice we found online was working. Sarah was quickly able to confirm that our baby wasn't suffering from reflux or anything that was making him uncomfortable and came up with a plan that we put into place the very next day. That night he slept in his bassinet exclusively for the first time and put himself back to sleep (with the help of the SNOO) when he woke up between feedings. We can now put him down awake and he sleeps straight through at night in between feedings. He used to be cranky a lot and had trouble sleeping at a stretch for more than an hour. Our training with Sarah was excellent. She was meticulous, tailored the program for us and clearly knew what she was doing. She asked us a lot of questions to help figure out how best she could help us and helped get us on the right track. With the 15 day program, we started seeing results on day 1 and by day 3, our son was fully on a schedule. If we could, we would give 10+ stars. For us, it was literally life changing. We honestly don't know where we would be if we had not slept training our little. My husband and I first found Sarah on Facebook and quickly started reading her posts about sleeping training. Sleep deprived and feeling like we were failing as first time parents because he could not get our baby to sleep more than 2-3 hours at a time, we knew we needed intervention. Shortly we found out that Sarah was giving an informational on helping babies sleep and we headed out with our then 3 month old. We learned so many great techniques at the informational that we immediately implemented and saw some great improvements to sleep. My husband and I knew we needed to sleep train, we had nothing to lose. We waited till our little one was 4 months old and hired Sarah to provide us guidance with teaching our little one to sleep. The beginning was an adjustment for everyone, but with practice and Sarah's tools we were all getting more sleep. We went from hours of rocking, 4+ wake ups a night with a swaddle in a rock in play in our room to 2 wake-ups for nursing in a sleep sack in his crib in his room and then with time were able to drop down to 1 night feed. We also were seeing better daytime naps, which allowed for us to get some extra sleep in the day too. Sarah guided us in teaching our little self soothing skills. Along the way, my husband and I would and still reference back to Sarah's resources online regarding regressions, transitions, developmental milestones, and other things when ever we have experienced or experience hiccups (because they do happen) that impact our little's sleep. I can't imagine what our son's sleep schedule would look like if we didn't have Dr. Sarah in our lives. As I wrapped up my final call with Sarah today and reflected back over our journey together I couldn't believe how far we had come. I have a very strong willed 2.5 year old who was still waking up for middle of the night feedings. Every. Single. Night. A month ago I could never have imagined that I could possibly get my little guy down for bedtime in under an hour, have him drop his nightly feedings, and have him sleep through the night (all while we cosleep). Sarah is amazing! My husband and I were referred by my cousin. We were really struggling getting our 4.5 month old to take naps longer than 30 mins, sleep for more than 1 hour at night, sleep without us rocking her or holding her, etc. Every day was a struggle. Sarah had been a great partner to help my wife and I get back to some form of normal sleep. Her style reminds me of what a coach would employ. She listened to our needs, understood our goals, and kept encouraging us when things got though. My wife and I have a 1 year old who we had been struggling to have sleep through the night. She required one of us holding her to sleep. Whenever we put her in her crib, she'd wail. One of us (usually my wife) will hold our daughter through the night. The result -- neither one of them get sufficient rest. When it came to nap, our daughter would only nap in strollers, front carriers, or riding in a moving car. Extremely thankful for Sarah's help with sleep coaching our little one. We had a very erratic routine where our baby's naps were very short around 15-20 mins and started waking up at nights looking for a feed. We used to spend hours just to put her to sleep and she used to wake up in few minutes . We had to hold her or keep a pacifier to make her sleep. Our little started climbing out of her crib at around 2 years old. So at that point we had to transition her to a toddler bed. With the newfound freedom she wanted to test her boundaries and it came to the point where we would have to rub her back for an hour or so in the middle of the night when she would wake multiple times, laying beside her in bed and other rough issues. It got the point where we would just let her crawl into our bed and co-sleep. That obviously got tiring for us really fast. After about a month and half or so trying different methods to get her to sleep and stay in her own bed we were not successful until we found Sarah. Our little boy was never a sleepy newborn. We'd be lucky to get a two-hour stretch of sleep, even during the night. And when he wasn't sleeping, he was probably screaming. We reached out to a handful of sleep specialists during the "fourth trimester" but were told to just hang in there, because our son was not neurologically developed enough to soothe himself. Those few months were a trying time for our family. When our boy was four months old, things got a lot better. He screamed far less, slept 13.5 hrs per day, took four naps per day, and fed a few times at night. Sure, each put-down involved 15+min of rocking and was a delicate ritual, but I thought things were going pretty well, especially compared to before. My husband was convinced things could be even better and contacted Sarah. I figured we'd probably learn a thing or two since she has way more experience in the field of baby sleep than us or any of our friends/family and went along with the training program. Let's be real -- sleep training is not fun, but it REALLY helps to have someone like Sarah in your corner. She knows that every baby is different and customizes each training program. For example, many sources say to put baby to sleep as soon as you start seeing sleepy signals, before baby is overtired. However, Sarah helped us realize that this approach does not work for our son. If he is put down too early, he gets upset and rejects naps, or cries for an hour at bedtime. But if we stretch his awake period to the edge of what is appropriate for his age, he has no problem falling asleep on his own. It's difficult to come up with insights like this when you are so close to the situation, sleep deprived, with a baby whose crying breaks your heart. Fast forward, after Sarah shepherded us through the program, LIFE IS BLISS. Baby gets 15+ hrs total sleep per day, 0 night feeds, 3 solid naps. The sleep routine takes less than 5min and baby self soothes to sleep in less than 10min. What's more is that when he wakes up he greets us with the biggest smile! I am so glad I came across Sarah's facebook page and every single penny spent on the consultation is 100% worth a good night sleep! Before turning to Sarah, I was working with another sleep consultant (who was really helpful and sweet) but unfortunately, she just wasn't able to get my daughter to sleep through the night. I worked with her for almost 4 months and though my daughter made progress initially, she regressed afterwards. After almost a month of sleepless nights and exhausting days, I was desperate for help and I am so glad I turned to Sarah. I'll never forget the day I contacted her. I was on winter break from teaching and desperately trying to get my daughter to switch from one nap to two but after struggling for a whole week, I had no luck.
