I highly recommend Danielle as a sleep consultant. She helped immensely with my toddler (34 months old) as well as my infant (10 months old). My toddler went through a horrible sleep regression. He went from sleeping through the night to needing a parent at his bedside in order to fall asleep. When he woke up in the middle of the night, he'd cry and cry. Eventually, it became easier to have him sleep in our bed. It was very rough and no one was sleeping well. My pediatrician recommended a few sleep consultants, including Danielle. We knew Danielle would be great to work with when she came recommended by our son's pediatrician but what we didn't expect was the level of service we would  receive during the process. We decided to reach out to Danielle while working with another sleep consultant agency. The other agency was unable to help us when we asked for assistance with our son who was taking 2 hours every night to fall asleep. We were exhausted and in desperate need of help. Danielle was extremely attentive and compassionate during our initial call, giving us pointers to help ease our bedtime struggles. Following the call, we implemented her suggestions and saw an immediate improvement. Instead of 2 hours, it took just 30 minutes to get our son to sleep. We decided to hold out with the other agency a bit longer because our son was still too young to begin working with Danielle for official sleep training. A few weeks later, when our son was  4 months old, and waking every hour we knew what we had to do- contact Danielle and ditch the other consultants ASAP. We reached out to Danielle and received a response within a few hours. Next thing we knew we had a contract and working plan to implement. The next night we did our first night of sleep training. Our first night he fell asleep within 18 minutes - what a victory! I got to say good night to our 6 year old and watch some tv with my husband...I felt human again! The next 3 weeks we worked on training for naps and weaning at night time. The best part of working with Danielle was that she let us work at a pace we felt comfortable with by giving us plenty of options. She never forced anything on us and made herself available via text, email or phone to talk through things. We cannot recommend Danielle enough! Sleep training can be controversial, but that hasn't stopped us from screaming from the rooftops how amazing our experience was and how much it helped our little one (and us parents) get more rest. I'd read several books, blogs, websites, etc etc etc, so the concepts around sleep training were not new, but being sleep deprived and a first-time mom left me lacking the confidence to implement a sleep plan or really even knowing when and how to start. Luckily, I found Danielle. My consultation phone call with her put my mind at ease. She really took the time to understand our situation, what we were and weren't comfortable with, what our obstacles were (like having my Mother-in-law with us while we sleep trained, and how to help her get on board), and came up with a customized plan that was clear & easy to follow. She also was very responsive to questions, which was so helpful that first night or two when we were in the thick of it. But not only did Danielle help us with the logistics, but she reassured us about our decision to sleep train, removed the guilt & fear, and encouraged us along the way, including checking our daily sleep log and helping us celebrate our progress as we we went along. Now to the extra-amazingness: Our daughter is an awesome sleeper. First things first - thank you, Danielle. You saved us. I mean that. So the introduction gives the rest of this away, but let me add a little substance to this review. When our son was born, he came two months early. We spent a month of that time in the NICU with him and then brought him home. If you've been in the NICU before, you know how good the sleep/feed/sleep schedule is. We figured the sleep training was done. Score. And it was, until a few weeks later when he developed colic. Read this carefully if you have a colicky baby - nothing you can buy or do will actually work. The lack of sleep is a component of it and by the end you'll probably feel like the worst parent on the planet. But trust me, a total stranger on Yelp: It's not you, it's the baby, nature, and it will end. So colic ends after seven full months and we thought that our little guy would now sleep. But nope...he was used to us holding him because that's what you do with a colicky baby. And he wouldn't let either one of us get further than 3.8 inches before screaming bloody murder. Thank you, Yelp founders, because here's where I went after two weeks of insane lack of sleep and finding out that we were "blessed" again. Second baby on the way and all I can think is that we're toast. We won't survive this. I can't keep showing up to work barely functioning and my wife is going to divorce me after being admitted to the psych ward. I jump on there and find Danielle and her reviews seem legit. I see the price for her services and tell my better half that it's not cheap but if it turns out to be nonsense...well we will survive. If it isn't...can you even imagine a sleeping baby? We contact her and the same day she responds. She sounds professional and sets an appointment for the next morning and we fill out all of the forms. We do the FT call with her at 9am the next morning and the initial consult goes from thirty minutes or so to close to 90. She asks when we would like to start implementation of her plan - today. Prior to sleep training, one parent was pretty much tied down in the nursery helping our 4-month old baby settle to sleep, as well as intervening with a pacifier and shush-patting whenever he woke up in the middle of the night. Not just for overnight, but during all naps too. Leaving the other parent doing all chores and everything else in the house while working full-time. Definitely wasn't sustainable! Danielle came to our rescue with a detailed sleep training plan catered to our baby's behavior and routine. She walked us through a few sleep training techniques, explained pros and cons of each, answered all of our questions, and was very supportive and reassuring during our 3-week session. She was not pushy; she would let us make the decisions on the techniques after she explained them in detail. She's quick to answer our texts and emails. The end result is a happy and healthy baby that now sleeps way better than before. He can now fall asleep on his own, and resettle himself whenever he wakes up during the night. We found Danielle through yelp, as we were desperate for some sleep and needed guidance with sleep training. My 7 month old was waking up at least every hour since transitioning to the crib, and our current situation was unsustainable. We were tired, irritable, and felt like we had no time to ourselves. We had read a book on sleep training and tried it on our own... and we failed, because we second-guessed ourselves and didn't know if we were doing it right. Danielle is great because she makes a personalized plan for your child. The consultation we had with Danielle was positive and informative, and it made us feel confidant to sleep train. We followed the plan she gave us exactly; our baby cried, of course, for about 30-40 minutes to first night, but then slept through the night, and continued to sleep through the night from that night on. Now, it takes our baby about 10 minutes to fall asleep on her own - no crying - and she continues to sleep through the night. I highly recommend Danielle. She was awesome and supportive through the whole experience. She always responded to my texts in a timely manner, helped us out through some of our disaster naps, and found good wake windows for our daughter. Danielle is amazing at what she does. I was so hesitant and anxious about sleeping training for the longest time. I was at a breaking point when my 14 month old would only co sleep and was still waking up to three times a night. On top of that I was spending hours putting her to bed at night. I was nervous and honestly a bit unsure if this would even work, but by following the detailed plan Danielle provided, my daughter finally sleeps by herself, in her crib & through the night! Danielle is amazing! I had read so many books and so many guides on sleep training but I felt that we needed a coach to help us through the process. Danielle was the perfect coach for our family. If your kiddo is having trouble sleeping and/or you're feeling stressed out about your kiddo's sleep, I cannot recommend hiring a sleep consultant enough. Danielle didn't really tell us anything I didn't already know or could have found out for myself, but the comfort of having an expert reiterate what I already knew was so helpful. I really appreciated the step by step plan for my baby (around 7 months old when we hired Danielle), that included plans for naps and what to do if the baby just never fell asleep. Our plan included timed checks, but Danielle also gave us permission to not check on him if we though it would only make things worse, which was so freeing for us; timed checks always only seemed to upset the baby more. The first night was really tough, but by the third or fourth, I was putting him down awake and he was sleeping in his own crib all night. Danielle was also great about responding to questions via email or text. We traveled during our three week consultation period, and I really appreciated being able to text her with our specific situation and get recommendations for how to deal with any sleep wonkiness that may come up. Sleep is NOT for the weak. I NEED sleep to be a functioning mama of 2 under 2 (not to mention in quarantine, too) ;) I reached out to Danielle literally on our 4 month mark. My first child was an angel baby and was sleeping through the night by 2 months old. My son on the other hand, had been having a lot of regressions and sporadic sleep habits. Danielle quickly came up with a plan that was tailored to our family and comfortability level. Within days, we were having much longer naps and longer night stretches. We did not have too much trouble sleep training our 1st child. We read some books (12 hours by 12 weeks is good), were disciplined in applying it and without too much trouble she slept. Then came our son... From 1 month old we started having no luck getting him to sleep. After 2-3 months of struggling with a "good" night of him having a stretch or two where he slept 45 minutes (mostly sleeping 5-15 min at a time) followed by a bunch of testing, he was diagnosed with acid reflux. We eventually got him well medicated but he still wasn't sleeping well. We tried a baby chiropractor (which we generally think of as quackery) but she came well recommended so we tried it, it might have helped some, then some more aggressive sleep techniques and still he wouldn't sleep more than 1.5 hours at a stretch (mostly 5-45 min chunks). We finally decided to engage a sleep expert at 5.5 months. Right from the start, Danielle said we had the most thorough pre-visit assessment she'd seen. After that, came the in person visit and some coaching mostly by e-mail where she helped us devise a plan that worked with our schedule. She cautioned us that it might be tricky at 1st because he may be traumatized from his acid reflux challenges. We all went to work. It was tough and in some ways was just a more regimented version of what we'd tried ourselves, but her effort to coach, help us course correct and more were a huge help. I think she admitted Calvin was possibly her toughest challenge to date and she was disappointed we hadn't gotten further at the end of our training period despite all our work to follow her instructions, document and look for patterns. However, we stuck with her plan and advice and slowly but surely (after 1.5 -2 months), he got through the acid reflux and now sleeps through the night & naps well too. During our call, she was straight to the point and quickly figured out what might have gone wrong during the bedtime routine, nighttime feeding, and naps, etc. She also gave very specific advice on how to address those. Danielle helped us make what we thought would be impossible a true reality! We have a 2 yr old and 1 yr old. The 2 yr old had been sleeping great until he was brought into our room in the middle of the night once our youngest was born. We also had to sit on his bedroom floor until he fell asleep which took upwards of an hour. Our 1 yr old had reflux as an infant and it started bad sleeping patterns where she ended up in our bed and would only sleep on someone (mainly me). Our pediatrician recommended Danielle and I'm so thankful she did! We contacted Danielle when we were so desperate to get more sleep. My 5 month old was up every hour and we had so many bad habits to kick. Danielle was so great and came over and took a look at our situation. She told us step by step what we needed to do and how to do it. Many of the recommendations are things you have read before in books or online but her step by step approach is what removes the stress and anxiety. If you don't want to cry it out, no problem, you don't have to. If you still want to feed/nurse, that's fine too. She will just put parameters around all of these things to let everyone in the house transition more easily. Once I had an actual sleep plan, I was able to execute way better than just getting frustrated and saying, that's it! You're crying it out! My husband and I had our first child in December and we were told by a close friend to hire a baby sleep specialist to help sleep training. My husband and I were incredibly exhausted and completely clueless on how to sleep train our baby. I reached out to Danielle around the time my baby girl turned 5 months old. She was a GODSEND! This review is long overdue. Danielle is amazing. When I first reached out I asked her point blank "my son is soon to be 3, is it too late for us?". For context, our sweet toddler had been co-sleeping with mom and dad ever since birth - even nap times had to be with one of us laying with him until he fell asleep. Night sleeping meant us having to drop everything we were doing and going to bed with him, wait until he fell asleep (which at times could take 45+ mins), and rushing back to bed with him if he ever woke up and noticed we weren't there. I worked with Danielle a few months ago after I googled "sleep consultant" on the internet and had a great experience! I was returning to work and my almost four month old would only sleep if I held him in my arms and he woke up numerous times a night for the heck of it. Also, he had A LOT of sleep crutches- swaddle, pacifier, milk, being held, and being rocked/bounced. He is what Dr. Sears would define as a high needs baby - super strong willed and very needy. We purchased the in home session and three weeks of email support plan and Danielle was so responsive, flexible, encouraging and invested in our success. We ran into struggles when my son learned how to roll from back to stomach during the training process but Danielle helped us through that. The improvement we experienced was amazing! All of his crutches are gone and we are down to one feeding at night at 5 months. He doesn't cry when we put him to bed (which now only takes a few minutes instead of hours of rocking and holding) and he's getting better with time. Of course he is a high needs baby so things aren't perfect but that's just his personality and I'm fine with that (have realistic expectations folks). Hiring Danielle was one of the best baby related decisions we made and we can't stop telling everyone we know about her. I definitely think my baby's overall mood has improved because of more sleep as well as his health because we aren't feeding him so much to fall asleep. This is worth the investment and I plan on using Danielle's expertise in the future as my son grows and his needs change. Let me give it to you straight. My husband and I were at our wits end with a 14-month-old who would never take a nap in his crib, would nap at random times for random amounts of time, and wouldn't go to bed until 11 PM at night. Working with Danielle was an absolute joy! She was wonderful about tailoring a sleep plan based on our family's needs. She provided a comprehensive sleep plan, as well as daily support through email, answering all the questions we had as we progressed through the sleep training process. To start, I was waking 6x/night with my little guy. He was taking 2 naps that lasted 30 minutes at the most. In just 10 days, he shifted to waking only 1x/night for a short feeding and napping between 2-3x/day for 1-2 hours. I feel like a new woman! I'm finally sleeping after 8 months. I have and will continue to highly recommend Danielle to anyone that is having sleep issues with their little ones. I know she could be helpful for first time moms or moms with other children.
