We have been donating to Helping H for many years and are often dropping off numerous times every month. I am sad to say we will be donating to other organizations from now on. The drive up to drop off is in terrible condition. It is always dirty now, unorganized, ugly, just a bad experience to even be there. Why they don't do something about it, I don't know. read more

This is the best thrift shop I have ever been to. They have clothing, shoes, books, furniture, appliances, housewares, kids stuff, toys, knock knacks, and even a Halloween room with pumpkins and costumes! Everything is donated and offered to the public at an amazing price. Clothes are $1 a piece and books were $2 a bag at the time, not sure of always the case. I found several baby items, 2 pairs women's shoes, children's books, a couple of work shirts and a skirt for $20! What a great price. This is a ministry run by a sweet family, so there is no corporate take. Profit goes to those in need and stays in the community. There is a reason parking is an issue! The store was clean, and well organized. The prices are good, considering the purpose behind it regardless of other negative remarks. The only negatives I have is that some customer service skills could be taught. Kindness seems to lack or at least it did the day My family and I were there. I'm sure with some people skill training and prayer for those two little ladies this could be a spectacular store to shop in. read more

My wife & I are fairly new to the Benton area. A neighbor recommended Helping Hands so I visited it on 2/25/2021. Lots of good stuff, especially glassware, and at good prices. The two customer services ladies that I spoke with were extremely helpful and were able to answer a couple of questions. I only ended up buying one item but will return with my wife and I'm sure she'll spend a bunch more than me. Definitely one of the better second hand stores I've visited. read more

I find this business to be a little scary. I used to go in here and get my kids clothes for $1 each. Jackets were $3 each. Now, jackets are up to $5-7 each--about what I find them in Walmart on clearance. I can still get some nice clothes but there are also some junky clothes in here also. The lades are so rude. I have heard Bonnie chew out parents over their kids. I never go anymore because I never know what price an item will be. They don't list prices on anything. You have to ask and sometimes it is way more than I want to pay. I once overheard the owner of this store Bonnie state that this store brought in $750K a year. That's right....getting really close to a million dollars a year yet tell me what they do with it. Everything they get is free. Everything. Our church alone donated a box van almost full of leftover yard sale items to here. The store is packed with a room to the side full of donated stuff yet I never heard of them doing much. I have heard of people going in there whose house has burned down and them getting free clothes, etc but that's not saying much considering this place is giving them free stuff. You don't hear of that often but you do hear of it. Other than that, this place does nothing. Occasionally, they have a free meal for their customers but they just started that. I once heard the owner talk about having to bond her son out of jail and pay for his legal woes. This place is getting toward a million dollars a year yet they do nothing with it. Nothing. Give away a few free items here and there that they get for free but nothing else and that is disturbing. It is not ok to make this kind of money and do nothing with it for the good of the community considering this is a non-profit. read more

These people are suppose to be all about helping people who are in need but all the owner is really doing is making sure she has a fat wallet! They help no one! They get everything in their store for free! Then they mark up the free items by 100%. She gives back to no one! Don't shop here! Spend your money at Habitat for humanity! They truly do help out the communities! read more
