I find it incredibly concerning that a patient advocate, whose sole purpose is to help patients understand and navigate their healthcare, was not allowed. How do I make an informed decision when I am being denied that support? Ultimately, I left and did not receive necessary care. I filed my complaint via their website and never heard back either.

I specifically needed to see my primary care doctor because my current blood pressure medication was making me extremely ill, forcing me to stop taking it. Despite the urgency, the scheduler tried to book me for a day the doctor isn't even at this location. When I corrected him, he became hostile and told me "not to question him." He then promised me an appointment for Friday, December 26, 2025. Feeling uneasy, I called back and spoke to a different representative who informed me that the first person never actually scheduled me for the 26th. Instead, he had booked me for January 6, 2026--over a week later--without telling me. Had I not called back, I would have shown up on the day after Christmas to a doctor who wasn't there for an appointment that didn't exist. This staff plays games with people's lives. They are dishonest, disorganized, and clearly do not care about the medical well-being of their patients. I have already contacted my insurance to switch providers. Save yourself the stress and the risk to your health: Avoid Unicare Corona on McKinley at all costs. P.S. this wasnt an isolated situation. It was a nightmare everytime i tried to make an appt. This wasnt the first time but it was for sure the last time. They dont even deserve one star but its the lowest score they allow on Yelp. I give one star but they deserve no star at all.
