Anyway, the hearing aid sell job started before I was even seated in the test booth (interesting) and continued until I left. I was curious enough to ask for a price quote and/or even a price range for their products and couldn't get an answer. All in all, not an overly positive or comfortable experience. They truly make me feel that I am just a #, they do not care about my hearing needs and definitely do not want my business. When you make the decision to invest in hearing aids, it's a huge financial and time investment and until now, I didn't realize how important it is knowing that your doctor cares about you is! One audiologist wanted $4553 for a pair of Unitron Moxi All 700 hearing aids, offering just a one year warranty, one year of batteries, etc. Drum Roll, I got the Unitron Moxi PRO (two step increase) for $1879 for a pair special this month. They have the recharger and rechargeable batteries, the bluetooth with smart phone or Iphone for phone calls and music. So, if you have an audiogram by a licensed audiologist, but just can't afford the hearing aids... look no further, save thousands. I was fitted with mine today and got a bag full of containers, wax filters, domes, recharger and batteries, tools, etc. with a three year warranty, no extra for recharger. He has outstanding follow up and communication.

I cleared…read moretheir acceptance of my insurance before referral, and again before coming for my 1st appointment and the 1st thing I was asked was to sign a form stating my insurance didn't cover the hearing test and I'd agree to pay out of pocket. I advised my insurance does cover hearing tests and did just two months prior and I did not need another test, she advised they prefer their own and if I would not sign the form it sounded like I was not a good fit for their establishment. She is correct--I know a fraud when I meet one and was not an easy target, so I was a bad fit. (The next clinic I called was appalled and said they would never refuse a patient who did not want a hearing test). Don't give this company your personal information -- I would not trust them at all.
