While a fan of both spicy food and Pepper Palace, i can say after one visit to this location, which…read moreis in my hometown of Orlando, that I will continue to go to the Saint Augustine location and will never patronize here again. They have a rude, condescending staff and the selection here is not nearly as good as the Saint Augustine location. This particular location is located in the outlets and obviously caters to the foot traffic that the outlets generate. I was shopping for Christmas gifts when I stumbled across it and strolled in to pick up a few favorite hot sauces and save myself a trip to Saint Augustine (which is not as dramatic as it sounds as I am up that way regularly for business). This location only carries Pepper Palace products, where the Saint Augustine location has a multitude of brands of different hot sauces. Still, I wanted to make a purchase so I wandered about looking for some hot sauce to jump out at me, whether it be for a gift or for myself (a gift from me to me). They had sample bottles out but none of the chips like at the Saint Augustine location to place the sauce on. I assume this is because of COVID-19. Anyway, I took a sample bottle (labeled as a sample bottle) and put a drop on my finger and suddenly a woman was yelling at me as if I was a child. She then pointed to a pretty concealed box of small spoons and told me this is how they do it. OK, I get it. Cool, even tjough customer service should not include shrieking at customers. But, I would have been OK with this. But then she proceeded to tell her coworker and a gaggle of customers in a profanity laced diatribe my exact indiscretion. She also made sure she was liud enough so I could hear what her foul mouthed description and opinion of me was. My response was simple. I placed the bottles I had in my hands that I was going to purchase (about a hundred dollars worth) on the table and walked out. I can accept my error, though I feel it was relatively minor, but to degrade me, curse at me and svream at me is unacceptable. I will day that I will never return to this store.

I stopped in on nothing more than a whim, and really (really!) enjoyed the experience. Team member Jay was great with answering questions, as well as offering suggestions. Very much appreciated. A 'sampling' experiAll changes saved ence is available and is offered in a rather safe/sanitary way. There are M ANY flavor options at a wide range of heat intensity. Some with unique names are surprisingly delicious. To be honest, it was starting to become a bit overwhelming . . which means i need to go back and sample/purchase even more. The one I brought home today is exceptional. I strongly encourage others to stop by for a visit if in the area. You will not regret it in the least. Thanks, again, Jay!!

They are a grocery store but the emphasis here is on convenience. From the cut up fruit, extensive prepared foods, large butcher counter, liquor, snacks and a huge cheese selection this store is the antithesis of Walmart. An interesting fact is that Cencosud, a Chilean retail giant, owns 67 percent of The Fresh Market. This store has lots of beautiful plants and flowers at the entrance but lately seems like everything is crammed together. There is rarely a wait to checkout because they have plenty of helpful employees. Fresh Market does offer daily loss leaders like the Tuesday chicken breast and ground beef sale but generally their prices are not as competitive. They sell limited grocery items but presently have 3 aisles of candy including bulk Jelly Belly products and Dubai chocolate bars. Do not shop here when hangry. In the past I was a big fan of their deli salads, specials and weekly family meals. Shop before 6 pm to get a good selection in the deli. The TFM Bakery is very popular for their quality and they often have a sale where if you buy a pound of deli chicken salad you get 4 large croissants free. Lately I go to Costco instead of TFM because I can find a larger variety of items, their prepared foods are priced competitively and food is available until closing.

Went to this store for a change to get Indian groceries. I was surprised to see the parking lot a…read morebit crowded. Upon entering, there were a huge crowd with families and children as well. I wanted to get vegetables, but we went to a different aisle first since it looked cramped. We got groceries like dhal, cream of wheat, and others. It looked clean and organized. Once it got less crowded, we went to the vegetables area and got what we needed. However, I noticed some signs warning customers not to sample anything. Honestly, if kids want a small piece of fruit, go to Publix where some stores offer the kids to take a free fruit. The meats area was pretty nice and they had a good amount of chicken, beef, and lamb/goat pieces. They can get pretty pricey though. In fact, many groceries were quite expensive. That's why I avoided buying some of my favorite Indian dinners in the frozen food session. Even though the store looked clean and maintained, it looked pretty sterile. While there were some TVs showing Bollywood, there were no audio. Mostly families talking to each other and kids as well. And it looks like the kids can get rambunctious over there as there were signs warning parents to control their kids and the "you break, you buy" signs as well. Staff were friendly enough though. The store is in a building that also has a food court, and even a lighting store. There are even other restaurants located in the strip too. While I like Apna Bazaar for their meats (especially lamb), it's pretty pricey and mundane compared to other places. I think Patel Brothers and House of Spices provides a better experience at even lower prices. But at least you can get good meats and enjoy some non veg cuisine at the food court too. Overall: C+

I ended up having a little cheat day and enjoyed a delicious soft serve with fresh strawberries -- it was so good! The staff members were very friendly, especially the cashier who helped me at the register. Her smile felt so genuine, and it honestly made me want to come back again. I even decided to pick up some peanut butter while I was there. The store was very clean and well organized, which made shopping comfortable and enjoyable. I shop at other grocery stores too, but this place is definitely becoming one of my favorites. You can also bring your own reusable bags, which is a nice bonus. The parking lot can be a little difficult on weekends, but overall I highly recommend this place!

I live about two…read morehours away, and whenever I'm in Orlando I usually get sucked into the whole Disney Springs vibe and never make it to all the other amazing local businesses. This trip, though, there was absolutely no Disney involved -- and we finally stopped here on our way home Sunday morning. I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. For someone who truly despises grocery shopping, this was actually fun. I will absolutely make a special trip to Orlando just to come back here -- and next time, I'm bringing a bigger cooler.
