He was quick getting the report back to us and there wasn't anything on there that we hadn't already went over. He took a lot of grief for being honest. I received one email that said he is "the toughest inspector" and was told by a RE agent "he's not a realtors favorite". RE agents don't want deals to fall through. Buyers agents make the most money by getting you to pay the highest price just like sellers agents... that's just a fact. Unless you can find an honest agent with good integrity, the odds are against you. It's guys like Gary that are your allies. He's not getting thrown referrals from RE agents in exchange for making reports look good. My logic says if the RE agent is referring them, cross them off the list, unless you really trust your agent. For me all the bad reports I got from the other side of the table shined through like gold stars. Awesome job Gary, keep it up and be proud of all that criticism!

From the beginning Michael returned my call, came out and gave me a fair and honest quote to complete the job. We discussed some options, like leaving some wood for our fireplace, agreed on a price and they were here within a day. (I lucked out and caught them at a good time) I had basically 6 trees that needed to be taken down (two split), along with trimming some large branches hanging over our home. One of our oaks was old, split and partially hollowed out. This large oak was between our new home and garage and was dangerous. Needless to say, Michael and his crew got the tree down within the day and cleaned up. Zero damage to anything. The next day (today), they took down 5 other trees that needed to go. Again, they did an outstanding job and they were amazing to watch when I had some free time. Because of the snow, it's difficult to clean up all the saw dust, but they have done a great job at cleaning up branches and the dust they could get at. They even picked up small twigs on my roofline. Anyway, this company is safe, professional and detailed . Michael kept me informed at the beginning of the project and at the end of the day to let me know what his next plan of attack was. I should have done this review a couple of years ago. I'm finally getting ready to fix this…read moredisaster / unprofessional/major code violation/rip-off disaster. We had $1,500 to $1,800 quotes just to move the furnace over where it should have been and clean up the installation so I'll have to do it myself. We made the mistake of using this guy that Locke Supply recommended. The job was simple, install a new furnace in the closet below where the old furnace was so it wouldn't be installed in our hot attic. They had one job, they did it half-assed and failed. This job has lazy written all over it and the sad thing is that Dennis was there to oversee it and actually put his stamp of approval on it. At the time, we were just happy to have our AC running again but in hindsight, we should have made them fix it then and there. I guess at the time we were so flabbergasted at what we saw that we didn't want them in our house again. They were there way too long and thus was the result? Instead of putting the furnace all the way to the left side and leave us the ability to utilize the right side of the closet, they stuck it in such a way that we have about 2 feet of wasted space to one side. I can guarantee you if he did this in his own house, he would have done it correctly. The other thing I've noticed is the way they left the wiring with twist caps exposed and just hanging. The area around the top of the furnace was left open and he said that any drywaller should have no problem finishing that off. If the install wasn't half-ass, that may be true but there is no way to correctly finish this off. It would be a fire hazard. The other thing that really pisses me off is that they literally hacked into the nice plywood base I made for the intake. I guess that doesn't matter since I have to move the whole furnace over and I'll have to make a whole new sheet for a base anyways. Hopefully the pictures will show what a crappy, careless, unprofessional hack job this is. They even left the old dead furnace in place for me to disassemble and remove. By the way, it couldn't have taken but 10 minutes longer at the most to have done this correctly.
