After a long wait due to supply chain issues from Europe, my starter for my chainsaw arrived. Unfortunately it was for a slightly different model. No worry though- the guys took a look at my saw and found a replacement part and Got me running in short order. I was very appreciative of the good service, because it took me over an hour to drive to their shop. Although I have a newer riding mower, if you're looking for a zero turn mower, they have an impressive inventory of those as well. I recommend this business! read more

Went in for a Bolt, the "kid" asked for my Name etc, when I mentioned my mower was purchased in Aurora he said "Then why don't you go there for the part"......I about walked out then. Then he didn't believe my Model # and looked at me like I was an idiot. I had to show him a picture of the mower with the Model # for him to look it up.....it was a Gravely Mower, not some obsolete Murray wanna-be mower. Anyway, not impressed with his customer service attitude because he'd never heard of my model or something, I'm not sure where the vibe came from except "how dare I buy the mower somewhere else but come to Henderson for parts. The Aurora shop is the Official NW distributor for Gravely...not sure if he understands that. But, I'll go elsewhere next time for sure, he won't have to worry about that ever again. read more

Sets false expectations for repairs, then when you call and ask about updates they have an attitude. All they say is come pick up your tools and take elsewhere. I do not recommend doing business with with at all. I am a commercial customer and loved going there because of the service originally but once they sell you something they dust their hands of you. If I could give zero stars I would. Do not go here. Go to stark street lawn or somewhere else. Not worth your time or business in the long run. read more

My experience with Henderson's seems to 'Echo' that of every other review. Took a brand new (used twice) Poulan Pro weed eater in for what was obviously a minor carb issue. They gave it to "Tom" who took it in the back, then came back within two minutes and told me it was garbage due to bad gas having been left in it (neither of which was true). Upon returning to retrieve the air filter they took out of it (which they didn't bother to retain), I was told that the extent of Tom's diagnosis was a sniff test. In conclusion, I wouldn't take a manual scythe to these people. read more

You'd think a retailer that primarily services commercial lawn care equipment (that people need for their livelihood) would operate on an appointment basis like nearly every other repair place. But nope, stop work, bring it in, and they'll look at when they get around to it, maybe in a week or so. Meanwhile you go fishing or something. So I took our tractor in for service doing some farm down time. Left them MY number to call when they got around to it. 10 days later they called a different number associated with our account, so there was that delay. I call this morning to make sure it's ready and they're open. Answering machine says yes we're open. Drive the truck all they way down there to find out they're hosting a wedding (congratulations to the lucky couple, I guess) and they are closed. For this they had to post a guy in the driveway to flag customers off. Wouldn't it have been cheaper, and better customer relations to change the phone message? read more

I brought in my mower within the first few weeks of spring which I'm sure is their busiest time of year. When I walked into the store front they were very busy however they made sure to acknowledge me and assured that I would be helped soon. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. The turn around time was very quick considering the fact that I came in during the high season. The Henderson Turf team exceeded my expectation in both knowledge and delivery. I owned a landscaping business for many years and have worked with many different shops over the years and this one is one of the best. I strongly recommend you, your business or residential home owners to utilize this shop. On a side note: Brands matter- If you buy a geo metro or early years Hyundai, yes it is a car, it has four wheels but its not a Dodge or Toyota. The same applies with equipment. Even as a home owner if you want saws, blowers, mowers, trimmers that perform day after day, buy what a professional would buy. The difference in doing this is ease of use, life of tool and ease of repair. Some tools on the market are designed for residential use, which is a gentle way to say that if you use a tool more than ten hours a year it will probably fail soon. I have tried in the past buying the lesser brands for residential use, because its painful to buy a saw, mower, blower that is 2-5 times more on the upfront cost. HOWEVER, BUYING QUALITY WILL YIELD A RETURN ON INVESTMENT Benefits of buying Quality = easy start, consistent performance, long life, easy maintenance with replaceable parts, parts availability, I'm sure there more but those are a few. My recommended brands: Chain Saws: Both Husqvarna or Stihl (for years I ran Stihl great tools, However, Husky has stepped up their game (HOME OWNERS 540XP 16" bar - you will have more saw then you will ever typically need - this saw is one of the best saws that I have ever seen! took my equipment in to correct a problem. they did the work but there was no difference after it was fixed!!! i later found out -per the factory- that the condition i was experiencing was normal, and didn't need fixed at all. i later talked to the owner and he was unsympathetic. he said they couldn't have known there was no actual problem, but a call to the factory would have clued them in. read more
