when I picked up a log splitter the experience was good. the price was good. I picked it up right before they closed for an early start in the morning. when looked over the splitter before leaving there is a pin that holds the splitter in place for travel. the keeper that keeps the pin in place could not be the original. on the way home the fastener that keeps the keeper in place came off causing the splitter to stand up while driving. I stopped I fixed. the Splitter worked ok. When I returned the splitter I let the guy behind the counter was very rude especially when I told him about the pin coming loose. He said they never had a problem before. I told him that there was no way it was the OEM locking system. He irritated that they never had a problem. on my way out I looked at another splitter that was the same and it had another jury rigged keeper but different. The hours of operation is another reason I will never use them again. I went there because the cost was cheaper than Home Depot. They close much earlier this means the cost is much more over all because operating hours. Home Depot 125.00. Johnson Creek rentals 175.00 advertised price less but it costs more and equipment is old and safety of equipment is not a concern judging by the person that checked me out. I was hoping to use a smaller more local company when I went to Johnson Creek rental. read more

This business is refusing service to those who have LEGAL exemptions to the COVID-19 mandates. Joe is the specific employee who denied me service, and refused to provide any sort of reasonable accommodations (as REQUIRED BY LAW). I stepped outside, leaving my debit card on the counter. I was told by Joe that I had to sign some forms, in order to pick up my rental, and that I needed to come in, but insisted that I put on a the medical mask he handed me (which, by the way is a class II medical device). I refused, stated that I had a legal exemption and walked back outside. He refused to bring any paperwork outside, handed me back my card and refused service. He refused to give his last name, and specifically refused any sort of accommodation. This next part doesn't even matter, according to the laws, BUT: I am not sick. Neither are my "immunocompromised" friends and relatives who refused the COVID mandates and associated injection. read more

After six plus years of living in our home, the outside exterior was beginning to show signs of age, as the dirt, grime and mold had begun to take hold and make its mark. So after the due diligence of procrastination that is required before any home improvement project, I finally decided it was time to pressure wash the house. If only it could be that easy to pressure wash myself in order to remove some of the 36 years of experience beginning to show on my own exterior. Made a quick call to Johnson Creek Rentals, determined that they did indeed have the correct equipment for the job, and then headed over to pick up the washer. The staff was extremely helpful and informative, showed me the correct way to use the equipment, helped me load it into the car and I was off. I was in and out in less then 10 minutes (kind of like my early years of being sexually active)! For the next four hours, I felt a sense of power as I blasted dirt and mold off the side of my home with eco friendly cleaners and pressurized H2O through my bad ass water gun. Amazingly, at the end of day, our home once again resembled the domicile we once knew when we fell for it some six years ago. Plus, I managed to not fall off the ladder, pressure wash the cats, or blast a hole through my epidermis. I rented some scaffolding to do work on my new house here. The guys at the counter were funny and helpful, and I probably shouldn't say this, but I was two hours late checking my scaffolding back in and they didn't charge me for an extra day. As owner of a business we frequently use Johnson Creek Rentals for equipment we do not own. Today we needed to rent a scissor lift and unfortunately our truck was not able to hold/tow the equipment. There was a little bit of miscommunication, but the problem was solved. We rented a chainsaw. They took the time to put a new chain on it, fill it up w/ fuel and give us a demo. Very helpful. Be aware that they open 1 hour later in the Winter time. The open/close times on the website are summer hours. read more

These guys are thieves I filled the equipment with fuel and they try to say it was low I wash the equipment and they charge me because it was dirty they wouldn't work with me on the five day rental wanted to charge me by the day, obviously up charging in customers is there a thing!!! read more

I love this business! I have been going there every spring for the last 5 years to rent a tiller for my garden. They are very good folks and give great service -- even the young guy who works in the yard. One time the tiller broke so I fixed it myself, and when I told them about it when I returned it they gave me $50 credit on the rental. I like that. read more

I worked at Johnson Creek Rentals for 6 months in 2013. It's a solid rental yard with average rates and a convenient location. It suffers from some of the same problems as all rental yards; the work is tough and the pay isn't great so it tends to attract guys who are a little rough around the edges. That being said, they genuinely do care about customers and want you to have a good experience renting from them. Their equipment is top notch and in good condition (they buy their equipment new) and when I was working there about 95% of customers had no problems with their rentals. Every now and then a customer would come back with a machine that didn't start or didn't run right, but that was usually either because they weren't using it right or they flooded the engine trying to start it. There were a few machines that weren't serviced right before being rented. But your chances of getting one of those are about 1%. Both mechanics and the manager (Ted) are solid career guys who have been there 10 years or more. Ted knows as much about equipment specs and uses as anyone I know. If you have a question, he can probably answer it. Bottom line is, if you're in the area and you need to rent something, these guys are a solid choice.
