Out of the blue, we had a glass shatter in one of our front windows and needed to be replaced. It was the inside glass of a double-pane, tempered-eGlass window. This had happened to us several years ago on a double-pane glass doorwall, also with just one pane shattered, ruling out an object hitting the window. The remaining likely causes are sudden temperature change or settling of the house. I checked Yelp and picked out a few window-replacement companies that were highly rated. I called each of them to ask for ballpark estimates. We had previously used the services of Henderson Glass so they were one of my first calls. I got estimates from three companies but, as I closed in on making a decision, our governor closed almost everything down because of Covid-19, including window companies, unless it was a board-up situation. Slow-forward a couple of months, and window companies were allowed to go back to work. So I dusted off my previous list and called several companies again, including Henderson. I ended up requesting a free estimate from another highly-rated company with a lower price range over the phone. They were available to come out within a few days. They showed up and checked out our problem window. They quickly determined that the type of wooden-casement windows that we have are not ones they could work on and the price would be considerably higher. I then contacted Henderson and confirmed that they could handle the type of windows that we have, and we set up an appointment with them. They were able to come out for a free estimate within a few days. They measured and gave me a firm quote, which was a fair price. So we placed the order. I was told it would take 7-10 days for the replacement to be constructed and that they would then call to schedule installation. It did come in less than a week later, and we scheduled an appointment for installation. On that day, they called in advance to tell me they were on their way and then showed up promptly! As with everyone I've dealt with, the installer was professional and polite. He quickly removed the damaged window and took it to his truck to put in the new glass. He reinstalled the window and cleaned up inside and out. I had previously confirmed with their office that they do have a discount for Veterans and told me the total adjusted amount. That was a nice plus. We have used them previously and have always been happy with the results; now add this to those experiences! read more

I like to support small businesses vs .big box stores. I have lived in this area all of my life and my Dad went to Henderson's when I was a kid. That being said, I ordered a bathroom mirror and a new shower door in 02/24. Was told it would be 10-14 days (I assumed business days) 4 weeks later I am calling and finally both are ready to be installed. The 5 ft. mirror was pricey ($1000.00) for a bathroom mirror and the shower door as well ($1326.00) installed. The 1st shower door had scratches, they returned to fix, didn't work, told us they would have to re-order, so NOW, THREE months later they will install the new shower door, hope it works! Went into Henderson today and encountered the LAZIEST rude old man at the counter. I had a TINY stone chip and he barked at me saying "my tech is off and I sure as hell ain't doing it, I got a bad back". I asked him some unrelated glass shower door questions and he just pointed at things, never left his chair. Great job Len! How does this guy have a job as a manager?!. I don't not recommend they measure 3 times i took them 3 months and 3 weeks to wait and do when they measured the window weren't the right size they manager was so rude customer service was bad and every time when we said when you guys bringing the orders for the glass they said a random date over and over again and I said give me a discount because you guys took long and they said no and they got the check before finishing everything they are a bad company I am not happy with them read more

I was sadly a victim of a car break in and needed a new passenger window on my Altima. I was reluctant to go here because of the reviews but it's near my work and the poor reviews are really old. I am happy with the work they did. They even had me come in and put some plastic over the window so I could still drive the car and go about my daily business, which was very helpful. They did the work on the agreed day and got me up and running as promised. I will be back to have my cracked windshield fixed! read more

I called these guys a couple weeks ago about an issue I was having with a windshield they replaced a few months ago. I was getting a horrible howl anywhere from 65mph and up. It needed to be hot out also for it to do it which tells me a rubber or plastic piece is not installed properly,expanding or getting soft enough to flex. it would not do it on the 60 mile morninf drive to work but would do it all the way home . . try driving 60 miles with that. The guy was very defiant insisting theres no was it was from the windshield replacement. He said it was from the windshield wipers or something else and was trying to blow me off so before I took it to him this is what I did. Replaced windshield wipers Took Antenna off Drove truck with wipers on and off Drove truck with windows down one at a time then all at once Drove truck with sunroof open Drove truck with windows folded in all the way Still the noise continues. So now I take it to him and and tell him all the above and he still seems to want to blow me off and blame it on something else. I also point out the moldings dont even fit right and the cowl is loose his answer is well thats how it is? Huh really? Oh yea there is also a washer under one of the screws holding it on that definately is not OEM equipment. He drives it and says nope no noise and I ask did you check the moldings or the cowl? No he says and states why should he since it wont make the noise. Mind you there are four screws holding each side molding on . . taking them off takes about 3 minutes. While he had it I called my insurance company and already got the OK to take it someplace else and have it fixed so I dont want him touching my truck at all anymore. So I leave mad and let people know who are there dont expect to get anything fixed if its not right. OK now here is where he gets proved wrong. I get home and think Hmmmm what if I duct tape over all the edges of the glass and over the moldings to stop air from going through and make it go over the moldings. As Im taping it I noticed the top molding is a bit bent up from being pryed off with a screw driver im sure and not a plastic prybar. So anyways back to the taping . . OK I tape it all around the windshield and take it back out on the freeway and even a section of telegraph downriver where I can get up to 65 or 70. Guess what???? THE HOWLING IS GONE! Huh I guess there was no way possible the noise was coming from his shoddy workmanship. The noise is being caused by air being forced under the top molding since its bent up a bit and not laying flat on the windshield. Wow and Im not even a windshield "technician" and it took me all of an hr to figure it out. All he had to do was at least be polite and not have an attitude instead of on more than one occasion just try to blow me off. Guess what I'm telling everyone I know stay away and if you were smart you would too!!! When I got a stone chip in my window I looked around for a place that could fix it and close by. I called this place. The woman was very polite and told me if I came down they'd get me right in. I came and they looked at the chip and told me that attempting repair might make it worse and that it wouldn't disappear, it only prevents it from spreading further. Which I understand is typical of windshield chips. I accepted and they pulled it in. 20 mins later they charged me $30 and it was fixed. Looked a little better but still noticeable. But I got to save the windshield so I'm sold. This is the second chip I've had them fix and they have done a good job. Can't speak for any of their other services, never really needed glass work done. read more

I had a good experience with Henderson. My 2014 Ford Focus windshield was broken when the windshield wiper cracked off during a snow storm. The wiper flew off, and the heavy, steel wiper arm came down full force on the cold windshield cracking the glass. Karen was easy to work with, helped me contact the insurance company, and even offered me a coupon to cover a portion of my deductible. This was not my first replacement windshield on the Focus, and apparently the first auto glass company botched the work on the moldings around my windshield. Karen called me and let me know that more worked needed to be done and the cost. The whole process was very professional, and my car was ready the next day despite the problems.
