Good luck getting anyone to call you back. When your mower…read morebreaks down it will cost you $100 for them to pick it up. That's with the mower still under warrant.

At the beginning of spring this year (2025) I brought my 1000 model Cub Cadet riding mower to…read moreMaynard because they were a branded Cub Cadet dealer/repair shop and I thought they could best fix my issues with the mower belt constantly coming off. When I brought it in I supplied them with a new branded (Cub Cadet) belt to put on and asked them to troubleshoot why it was constantly popping off. After weeks in the shop my mower was finely ready ($500+). I used it to mow my 2 acres only twice then the belt pops off again. So I rent a trailer... again, to haul it back into Maynard's. Several weeks later they text me and tell me it's ready ($240). They told me that they had to replace the belt because it was damaged when it popped off. They also told me that the spring was not the correct spring for this model of mower. Now why did they not catch the incorrect spring when I first brought it in. The expense of a new belt could have been avoided ($92 + labor). And here is the stinger, when I got it home I had to put it on a charger for over 6+ hours because they admittedly left the key on for the 24 hours between them notifying me and me picking it up. Their proposed resolution was "if you bring it back in we can check it for you it's probably a bad battery". She then admitted that if they had issues with the battery they would have flagged it while they were working on it and then insinuated that it happened between me picking it up around 3 and discovering it at 5:30. I am not going to pay them any more money to fix problems that they created.

Website forced me to give a rating - so I did give a One star, but contractor didn't deserve a one…read morestar. Re: Wire railing project Would not recommend this contractor based on the following; * Did not have skillset to complete project while assuring us he did, indeed felt we were misled as to his abilities to the point of we felt being were conned. He arrived with only himself and no helper which only led to the inability to properly install the railing. o Contractor did not follow the simple installation instructions provided with the railing and/or deliberately failed to install all of the parts either by blatant incompetence extremely poor work ethic. o Contractor insisted (after job was done) that owner made changes. Owner did not make changes, contractor left very late in the day (early evening), and insisted if I discovered any issues, he would be happy to return in a timely manner and make corrections. o Posts were not installed plumb (instructions specified shimming as required) which led to crooked railing and loose cabling. o Provided grommets not installed at all. o Claimed to have the ability to weld but upon demonstration his abilities were extremely poor o Upon further review by two other more reputable contactors, it was recommended that railing could not be fixed and should be completely torn out and replaced at great additional expense. One contractor said; "who did this - we want to ensure we never him again."
