She has used this mechanic in the past and said he was honest and trustworthy. We gave her a ride to Mastin Lake Road with hopes her car could be repaired. She visited a well known transmission dealer in town and the manager told her she needed a new transmission to the cost of $4000. The owner of Advent said the problem is in one or both solenoid switches and she didn't need a new transmission. She was relieved! The car spent a night and by the next day when an attempt to start it was made, the transmission would not lock in gear. The problem was diagnosed and repaired for $250. If you have car troubles and need a good honest mechanic, please stop by Advent. They will treat you right.

I pushed for the vehicle to be added and it took maybe 10 minutes which to me, the employee did not want to take the time to do it. Secondly, they allowed me to schedule an appointment for 4 new tires, alignment, and an oil change, but made me come back for the oil change because "they can't do that today". Thus, having to make a second trip to the store which is an inconvenience. When we took the vehicle back to get the oil change, mind you we got new tires 3 days ago, the employee was rude when an alignment was denied. This beautiful dog was left behind when the owners of a business chose to relocate. He lived inside…read morethat crappy pen for two years. When they left, they put him outside the pen and locked the gate. He had no food and no water. It has been raining, he was wet, he was cold, he was scared, and he may have been in danger because many people thought he was aggressive. He was on N Memorial Parkway in Huntsville, which is a notoriously dangerous area for a dog to be unattended. Thankfully the dog is now secure at a vet, is getting checked out, and someone has stepped up that is familiar with the dog who is going to adopt it. That does not mean that Huntsville Automotive Service should get a free pass for doing this. They are now at their new location. I would suggest DO NOT DO BUSINESS with anyone who thinks this kind of behavior is acceptable! I would like to think that criminal charges will be pressed, however I doubt they will be in this case. I told him, "Yes, I have been doing to this location for years." So he says, who did you talk to? Josh? I said yes. He went on to say all he had to do was go the next step and lock it in. You don't have an appointment. But he did fix it and wanted to work me in. I just left because I was done with his rudeness and smart comments. When I picked up the car I noticed that several fasteners were missing around the the radiator. When I pointed it out, the mechanic claimed that they were missing before he started. The car had never been worked on in this area and I would have noticed before. I believe that they were left out due to poor part alignment because the holes no longer line up. Just a very disappointing experience.
