There wasn't too many additions to Franklin Street since I was last here but Mildred and Mable was unfamiliar so I walked in. I've been in shops like this before and I figured I would just browse and be done with it. I wandered around and I did end up finding some things to buy and then meandered my way to the counter. While I was being rung up I asked what time the store closes and was told 6. I checked my watch and it was 6:15. I walked in at closing time, wasn't told they were closing and was still allowed to browse. I immediately apologized for coming in when it was closed and just as quickly was told it was fine; stuff like that goes a long way with me.

This place is located in a huge warehouse over 50000 sq feet with over 200 vendors. Very organized and super clean. Definitely a fun place to visit in the area.

I noticed the sanitizing station displayed in front of the store, a gigantic metal dragonfly sculpture, new furniture, match boxes, quotes on cardboard, and chess sets. I loved the addition of a red cardinal bird painting. Courtney greeted me,assisted me, and made me a fresh toffee coffee in the store. Jodi, the owner, greeted me as well. After wandering throughout the store, I bought a traveling chess and bar set - perfection. Courtney wrapped it tissue paper and put in a gift bag. Lovely!

Journey's Eye is an excellent little place to stop in and browse when you're meandering around…read moredowntown Clarksville. There's a nice collection of hand-made jewelry, candles, and art. Some interesting glassware is also on offer. If you're visiting from out of town you can pick up a unique card or two to send home to friends and family. I stopped in on a Saturday evening and there was a keyboardist providing some ambient music, and my understanding is that the decor changes frequently. Both he and the owner, Jody, were friendly and engaging and provided good recommendations for dinner. Definitely stop by and take a look around!
