I have lived through the various reincarnations of this hospital...Foote Hospital, Allegiance and now Henry Ford. Incredibly, with every attempt to rejuvenate their reputation with a name change, the medical care gets worse. If you have the unhappy misfortune of being admitted, you willi get a team of doctors , not your own, who know nothing about you. The doctors I had were subcontracted out of a service in Maine. I was admitted with an infection in my toe with a red line going up my foot and onto my leg. As a diabetic this was concerning. The ER wrapped it and I spent two days on the floor with IV antibiotics. The doctor spoke no English and smiled vapidly at my questions. 3 days later, I was discharged. not once during that time did I see the doctor again and the nurses only came into change the IV bags. Never answered questions and NEVER removed the bandages to see if I was developing gangrene. I won't even mention how bad the 'care' was for my 90 year old mil. Fast forward, they 'claim' to have an endocrinology department but they don't. All visits are televisits with the DETROIT endocrinology. If you can't do televisits, you are SOL. If you need care, go elsewhere. If you just want a place to die, they will do. read more

And the parking lot for handicapped people whose dangerous walk on and yes I know it Michigan is have lived here my whole life . But this is a Hospital. And the handicap, parking spaces are so close together. You can't get out of your vehicle once you get it on. But most not all the staff has been great . read more

I wish this had negative numbers to give. Went to ER with unstable angina and was in ER for TWENTY HOURS then when I got to my room my "nurse" didn't come by until 90 minutes after her shift started, didn't speak, gave me a shot that burned like hell, the walked out. The next day I had the most excruciating pain I've ever felt. I called for a nurse. She showed up 38 minutes, I times the idiot because I could tell she would rather break into a box of chocolate than do her job. My wife came and got me and we went to Chelsea where the nurses care and the doctors are professional. I wouldn't trust these incompetent, lazy imbeciles to take care of a paper cut. read more

Called at 10:15am to talk to my brother's nurse Sarah. She stated that she would call me back with info. At 6:10pm I was calling and waited 29 minutes minutes for her to come to the phone. She FINALLY answered a line that i was waiting on to talk to her supervisor. She was not sorry, not concerned, and not interested in my efforts. She stated "I have 5 other patients!" Which translated to me as "I'm wayy to busy to care!" She was disrespectful and concerning. DEFINITELY not what we need in a nurse! read more

Nurses can be extremely loud and obnoxious almost as if this is a party. No place for rest or quiet... charge nurse will ask those to be mindful and that will only last a short while. Nurse Sarah is extremely loud. Maybe she has a hearing deficit not sure seems that way by yelling what!? Often to her colleagues... some nurses are amazing and others seem to be unkind and unmindful. Also wondering if drug testing is a regular thing for the nurses ? I hope so read more

This hospital has a reputation among the community, and it is not a good one. It is labeled as "the place you go to die", and after seeing the care that my grandfather has received....I don't doubt that to be true. He was discharged and left for 8 hours in a hallway in his wheelchair with no food, no drink, and no call to anyone to come get him. This was after a recent stay where the incompetent nurses allowed him lay for days in bed without getting up even to pee (after 2 hours of pushing the call light button because he had to use the bathroom and no one came, he eventually soiled himself), he then needed to go to rehab because he had lost so much strength in his legs from not moving. On top of that, he in unable to use his hands, partly because of surgery (which is why he was there) and the part due to severe neuropathy, but yet the staff couldn't be bothered to help him open the items on his food tray or assist him with eating, which resulted in 24 hour periods of not eating. My dogs get treated better in kennels than my grandfather got treated here. So yes, I agree. If people are not advocating for their loved ones, this is in fact a place you "go to die". ​ read more

I had an extremely frustrating experience with Dr. Davalos at Henry Ford Hospital in Jackson, Michigan. From the start, I felt like I was just another number in the system. The office staff was unhelpful and unorganized, which made scheduling and follow-up appointments a nightmare. When I finally saw Dr. Davalos, I was expecting a thorough examination and thoughtful discussion about my concerns. Instead, the consultation felt rushed and impersonal. Dr. Davalos barely listened to my symptoms and didn't seem interested in understanding the full picture of what I was dealing with. The doctor was dismissive of my questions and didn't provide clear answers, which left me feeling anxious and unheard. I didn't feel like I was given the proper attention or the chance to express my concerns fully. On top of that, I never received any follow-up after the appointment to see how my treatment was progressing or to discuss any next steps. The lack of communication and care made me feel like my health wasn't a priority. Overall, I left the office feeling more confused and frustrated than when I arrived. I would not recommend Dr. Davalos to anyone. If you're seeking a neurologist who is genuinely compassionate, listens carefully, and provides clear guidance, look elsewhere. read more

I was taken care of relatively well here by the hospital staff. The patient registration in the hospital was fantastic. The pre-surgery nurses, anesthesiologist team, surgery team, recovery nurses were all great. The nurses on the admitted floor were just okay. I had problems with some of them. The Cenas were good, though. The Dietary team was great. Physical therapy, Occupational Therapy was great. Hospital Medicinist, Radiology team, I.V. Therapy team, Pharmacy were all great. My Case Manager was nowhere to be found upon my request. Transport was HOURS behind. Neurology PA's were great to work with and the entire Hematology department was awesome. read more

Henry Ford has a policy if you are a new patient that their Primary Care doctors cannot see more than 1 patient per day. I have insurance and I have used the VA for many years. After trying to change to the Henry Ford System, the first doctor made my appt for the day after Christmas then he called in. It wouldn't be much of a big deal but the wait for that APPT was ALREADY 5 weeks. So I decided I of course don't want a doctor like that and made a new APPT and it takes another 5 weeks. My point is if you want a doctor that actually might care about you and not have riduculous policies, you should choose somewhere different. Personally I will never use Henry Ford for Primary Care Appt's and if you are new to their system why would you wait 5 weeks for an appt the doctor can just cancel. read more

I love the programs, especially some of the very best Physicians! Doctors like Dr. Butt are wonderful. Newer doctors will tell you that they have ten minutes to see you,and you have to present a few health problems at a time, while he will spend thirty minutes, until every symptom is addressed. He has his Beutifu and smart wife working with him. read more

Hopefully, if you go to this hospital, you won't have to tolerate the "Laughing Nurse" in Emergency. She was laughing at me while I was suffering a Heart Attack. Later, the following day after surgery, I heard her laughing at another woman in the emergency room who was going through a drug overdose. if I could give this zero rating, I would. I have used Henry allegiance because that was all that was available for the last 32 years. Every few years they change their name and change some of their doctors but their service stays the same. The nurses are phenomenal for the most part. Their doctors, not so much. Some of their surgeons are good but the majority that I've dealt with do not inspire me with any confidence about my care. Every time I went in, they provided a "team" and not one person on that team knew anything about my past medical history nor did they ask me other than the basic questions. On one visit, I was in for blood poisoning that was spreading from my foot. As a diabetic that is concerning. The ER treated it, wrapped it up and then sent me to the observation floor for three days of IV therapy. Never during that time did one single person, nurse or doctor, took the bandage off to see if my foot was still OK. For all they knew it was gangrenous. The doctor couldn't even speak English and came in for five minutes when I was admitted and for five minutes to discharge me. on another stay, the person in charge of my team decided that I should be on a diabetic diet which allowed me sugar free anything, and up to almost 170 carbs a day. I told him if I eat like that I'd be back on insulin and medication's because I am diet controlled by a keto diet and have been for 10 years. The cardiologist response to me was "well that's why they make insulin". Even after looking at my good lab reports, his "opinion" was that it was an unhealthy diet and I needed to go back eating carbs and go on insulin if needed. read more

Worst medical assistance in my life. Their emergency room is a joke! Waiting for 3 hours to be seen when its 4am & I'm the only patient there.? A doctor who obviously hasn't a clue on what to do about a severe eye infection that's caused my entire face to swell except to tell me I should go to a specialist...when I tell him in no uncertain terms this is the most pain I've experienced in my life & I NEED something even drops to numb the eye he tells me to take a tylenol, then prescribes a nasal spray....really? When I tell him if this pain continues I'll be back in your waiting room within the hour he tells me " that's your prerogative ". What a joke! The best part is when I got a bill for $900. $900 for a 5 minute visit from an inept doctor who didn't have a clue. And don't try calling their billing department & get someone to explain what warrants a $900 bill for a 5 minute exam they'll just get rude condescending and downright snotty. After 4 phone calls and finding no one who could explain where they get the number $900 or a promise to have a manager call me to explain but never did..... My insurance paid most of the amount and I even paid small amounts monthly until someone could explain this bill still trying to contact someone...they sent me to collections agency for a small amount and without warning or notice. I'll never set foot in the place again. If I'm dying I won't let an ambulance take me there I'll just dye first. I've heard they hire doctors that have ben fired from other hospitals because they weren't competent & no legitimate md wants to work there and now I see why. By all means DO NOT visit this hospital go to Chelsea or ann arbor if they dont misdiagnose you they'll bankrupt you! read more

All the staff I encountered at Henry Ford Allegiance Health were highly skilled, and very friendly. You see smiles everywhere! They are truly dedicated to providing excellent patient care! I visited a friend after their heart surgery. The CUB unit is impressive. My friend had topnotch care around the clock! They had a great recovery and are back to living life with gusto thanks to the outstanding team of professionals at this hospital!! read more

If I could give no stars I would. Henry Ford does not have transparent billing. My primary doctor is associated with them and now when I go for a check up, not only am I paying my doctor, but I also am paying a "facility charge". This never happened under Allegiance. their telephone service is automated which is really inadequate. takes a long time to get to an operator. just a waste of time waiting for the system to connect you with a real person. then once i was connected, just needed a simple answer to know if the patient would be discharged because i would have to make arrangement for myjob. they couldn't answer without the privacy code which wasn't given to me the day before nor did the patient know the code. such wasted time!!!! i wasn't asking any personal info about the patient. really irratating to say the least. there should be general questions that the staff can answer without a privacy code. read more

when visiting the hospital at Henry ford allegiance health just getting into the emergency for a scheduled appointment was the worst. the inconvenience of construction was bad enough but the encounter with security was very intimidating. the guard was very stern and rude with repeated questions after they were answered. the alarm went off because i was wearing a brace . then out comes the wand which also picked up on my belt buckle ,the zipper on my shorts,and also the one on my coat.the Guard looked at me as if she wanted me to remove everything that the wand alerted to . I understand the need for tight security in public places but when your not feeling well and you have to go through the intimidating process of just entering the office as if your committing a crime because of a zipper.If I had a choice I would have left right then, but the appointment was scheduled and was necessary. I think the guards need more instruction with interacting with the patients entering the the building .I hope I don't have to go back their again. read more
