On Tuesday, I brought in my nieces pair of glasses to be fixed. The arms on her glasses just needed to be straightened out. There was a African-American tall man that came over to assist us when he seen what was going on his response was you have to be in agreements with if I break them or they can't be fixed they will not be replaced. I had to verbally say I was OK with this. The glasses was purchased from your establishment and to be told that I'm very very dissatisfied with the Dearborn location. This is the second incident that has happened to me and I threw this. I will never return to the Dearborn location. The glasses was purchased from a different location the service at the Dearborn location used to be the white glove treatment now it isn't anymore. I took the glasses to another location and they were repaired with no issues. No one telling me if they break we will not replace them again this man was an African-American man I believed to be he was about 6 feet tall, very rude. read more

The customer service could be improved. It is extremely difficult to get time off work to pick up a sample for my contacts during business hours. They could not. I will never return to this location as a result. It takes only a few minutes to send the sample. read more

Mindi, an optician, spent lots of time and energy to make sure my problem was dealt with successfully. She was only interested in helping me and she succeeded. Usually I am very happy with my customer service at Henry Ford Optimeyes. Today I am not. I brought my glasses and sun clips in for repair, a magnet needs to be glued in. They said they would have to send them out because they dont have the glue and it would be three weeks. What? You dont have the repair glue for a product you sell in the lab? Three weeks? I can't drive or work without my glasses. I work for Henry Ford Health, and this is what you are telling customers? I dont know if I will be returning here for glasses in the future. Arrived one hour early to be talked to by a young smart mouth adult. First time at this location and last . Not sure if I want to deal with Henry Ford at this point!! I can't believe how sharply she was speaking to me me ! That I had to cut her off entirely from the conversation!!! First impressions are everything to me. They last a lifetime. I've been a longtime (maybe 2 decades) customer @ HF OptimEyes and I've always had an average customer service experience. Recently (August), I had a new exam for eye glasses and contact lens. I bought new eye glasses from another store bc I did not like the selection options in the store. I did not like my new contact lense prescription but bc I got new glasses, I decided to hold off on following up with new contacts. Today, I called to request my previous contact lense prescription and I asked for a sample to make sure they would be fine. The customer service representative said that I could not get a sample unless I ordered the lenses. Basically, buy contacts up front without knowing if they fit/work okay. After disagreeing and sharing my views on this, the customer service representative said "I'm sorry" and my request for a sample was not going to be accommodated. This is poor customer service and I will take my and family insurance and money elsewhere. read more

In my experience, this place has covid rules in place that hinder the selection process. Why on Earth would I need to walk around with staff to look at glasses? Doesn't that just add more potentially harmful air within the 6ft guideline? Last year's process was so botched, I have glasses that don't work for me. I never wear them. Employees, as they interface with customers, establish a company's reputation. The outstanding customer service skills of OptimEyes' Mindy, Optician Extraordinaire, wowed me to the nth degree. I was so impressed by her commitment to customer satisfaction I plan to send everyone I know to see her.  She is such a cut above... I have dealt with several Optimeyes Opticians, and while they were all quite nice, I felt they foisted their personal preferences on my frame and lens decisions so I never felt satisfied.  I can see how some customers might need an Optician's input to coax them into a decision, but  I knew what I wanted, and Mindy was savvy enough to read me.  She expertly gave me all of the information.  I shared with her my aesthetic vision and budget constraints...yet she knew where we could cut corners without disappointing me.  My cup runneth over, I am so stoked...  Thank you Mindy at Optimeyes !!! read more

Well this time I needed an eye exam and on my husband's recommendation I also saw Dr Browski, what a great doc, very thorough, making sure that my weak eye is going to be taken care of with my new prescription. It's also evident that the staff have a great respect for her, which I thought was so important. I was able to make an appt with Opthalmology, and Dr Imami, since Dr Levine has retired. Front desk staff was excellent, as was the tech who helped me, everyone was very mindful of Covid protocol, with hand washing, mask wearing etc. Highly recommend this location!! read more

Have been going there for many years. Used to be prompt and punctual. Open long hours and weekends too. Last visit was completely unexpected. More than one hour wait after a scheduled appointment and showing up before my time and still no Optometrist. No respect of people's time. Some wait 15-30 min is not unexpected to see health providers but one hour is too much specially that no one came in to update plus that they r running behind or how much longer the wait would be or allow us to reschedule. Also need more reps to assist in picking glasses as we waited but all reps were busy. Checking to see if HAP contracts with other vision centers with similar coverage to get more options. read more

Extremely rude staff. Came in for my appointment which I need a referral for. My doctor confirmed they had sent the referral and it was already accepted but could not get ahold of their office and their fax number which was the correct number was not working. They refused to see me even when I had pulled up my insurance and referral which stated what the referral number was and all the details which they would have needed to see me. The lady behind the counter refused to work with me even when I suggested they could still get the paper faxed over to them the following day. Not only did I waste a 30 minute drive to this location to not be seen but the gentleman in front of me also was hassled by the same woman for "coming in when he didn't have an appointment". Turns out it was their front desk receptionist who booked his appointment under the wrong name in the first place. No apologies were given to him either. Save your time and find a different facility with honest working people and staff. read more

Was due for yearly contacts or eyeglasses, decided to get glasses this time around. Since I've always opt for contacts, I wanted to pick the right glasses knowing it will only be used a couple of times for the next several years to come. Picked a really great pair, added transitions and glass lenses. Literally for 3 days I went back to get them adjusted, because the glass lenses were to front heavy. Decided to change them to polycarbonate because of the light weight lenses, that would stop the glasses from sliding forward. Karen who has helped me since day one in picking out the right glasses to fit my needs, was absolutely amazing in fixing this issue for me. Actually over those three days everyone who I've encountered in making sure they can find a solution for my glasses were wonderful. What an awesome place this was to finally get an answer and a diagnosis from the eye condition I have. So many eye doctors turned me away. Dr. Scarf is an amazing doctor and he ran through 3 hours worth of tests with me to determine the exact prescription for glasses that I needed. The tests were entirely worth it and I was fitted for a pair of glasses right after it. Cheap prices too for them for the type of glasses I needed. I love going there for check ups too because of the service, atmosphere, and again, the awesome doctor I have. It's definitely worth the drive to go here and receive care as I should because of the health conditions I have that greatly effect my vision. read more

First, I want to give 5 stars to Ian who works here for finally figuring out how my lenses were screwed up.....twice. Beyond that, after he figured it out I still had to pay for the higher cost lenses even though they are not the ones that were actually placed in my frames..... because the more expensive ones wouldn't work with my script. It wasn't my fault they didn't do it correctly twice and I shouldn't have to pay for lenses I didn't get because of their error. I had an eye exam here and took the eye glass prescription to my local optician and had 2 pair of glasses made. My new glasses were blurry and I had to come back here fore a re-test. Took the new prescription to my local optician and now they were correct. However, I had to pay for 4 pair of glass lenses because of OptimEyes giving me the wrong prescription. read more

This place is great! I highly recommend everyone come get their eye exams here. They don't just do a simple 1 or 2 exam. They check in the back of eye to make sure the health of eye is okay. If they suspect anything they do more tests to make sure. I would never trust my eyes anywhere else. I seen Dr. Harris and he explained everything to me in detail. After my eye exam he walked me out to the eye glass lady and she was so nice and patient with me. She helped me pick a perfect frame and the best lenses. Definitely referring my friends and family and coming back. The whole staff was amazing and it's a beautiful office. read more

This place is terrible! Do not buy anything from here! I came here to do an eye exam, get glasses and purchase contact lens but left with only broken glasses!!! They came across rude until they ran my insurance and saw that I got approved for everything. The optometrist was great but the staff is terrible. They kept pushing me to get glasses and not to get contact lens. So I said whatever and just got the glasses.... 2 weeks later I get a text saying my glasses are ready so I go in to pick them up. When I arrive I tried on my glasses and sure enough the glasses Break! (Screw being broken) Me being who I am.. I gave them an opportunity to correct the issue. So I was told to come back and they will give me another pair. I waited another week and I got yet another text about my glasses being ready. So I go in for a second time and the glasses were broken again! At this point I'm done! I want a refund! But the manger came back with a fixed pair, so I just decided to keep them. Today the glasses broke yet again! 3 days into wearing them! IM SO PISSED! I went back and demanded a refund or some sort of compensation! They offered a 50.00 credit on a 600.00 pair of new glasses. Terrible.... I walked out and got a refund. I defiantly will not be back. 3 weeks 3 trips and no product. Total waste! read more

I can say in two perspectives. 1. Optimology - Eye Exam Doctors and Technicians helped me are so kind and so good. They explained the side effects about the eye liquid for eye exam. Also, doctors cared some suspicious spots on my right eyes. They double-checked my eyes. (although it turned out nothing serious or critical.) I do recommend their service. 2. Experience of Purchasing Glasses. I am kind of a picky person. I understand that they are busy and that they might be tired at that day. They were kind and good, but not excellent service. I felt that they try to nudge me to choose more expensive options. (I understand. They need to make money, and it is hard.) They said that it usually take a week, but I did not received my glasses. I ordered a week ago, it is still processing. Fortunately, the receptionist on the phone gave estimated date on next week. I hope they offer quality glasses worth to my long waiting period. In addition, their glasses is pricy. I do recommend to have a vision insurance to get the service. read more

Too much waiting. When you get an eye exam you check in then wait for the first level exam done by a tech. After that, back to the waiting room to wait for another tech to give you vision chart check. After that test, you wait again for the eye doctor to do his testing and give you an RX. Then he sends you out to the room where they have thousands of frames. First the doctor suggests a number of glasses options he thinks you could use. You then wait for a salesperson who starts by suggesting you look marvelous in the most expensive frames they have and suggests every option available. I feel they are all competent but there is too much waiting and pressure to go all out on a pair of glasses you will have for a year or two only! read more
