Henry's Auto Repair Service - My van run like a champ - Auto Repair Near Me - Whittier, California

We had our GL450 in for several services involving the cooling system, front suspension and tires. We spent over $12,000. After all that, they told me we needed more service on the cooling system. I decided to get a second opinion and that shop said no further repair was needed on that issue. We had the car in Coachella valley this week and the rear suspension failed. We were fortunate we were able to get to the shoulder safely. It would seem like some signs of extreme wear would have been evident, especially with the front suspension work that Henry's did. No recommendations were made on this issue. We had the car towed to a trusted shop in Palm desert. They noted that one lug nut was completely missing and the rest were loose (all 4 wheels!). This could have resulted in a tragedy if the suspension hadn't failed before the wheels fell off. I had just bought 4 new tires from Henry's. I called and explained this to Sergio. He told me they tighten the lugs to factory specs. I had to tell him that they obviously didn't do that this time. At the end of the call I paused to see if an apology was forthcoming. None was until I pointed this out. The main thing of course is to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. We won't be back to Henry's. read more

Never again! I took my Mercedes to get an estimate? They had it for over 7 hours and never even got a chance to look at It?? said, they were backed up?? Now, Why would you take the vehicle! If you knew you were backed up that far back !! I was there at 4 PM and they close at 5pm ..... Wasted an entire day !!! ..... Sergio the owner obviously took no accountability! I brought my mini Cooper in for an engine issue, my car lost significant power and on idling, my car would shake. This is the second shop I brought my car for a quote, The first shop ( ten four) I brought my car too, they quoted me for a new engine. They stated my engine was blown due to I lost compression on one of the cylinders. They quoted me for a new engine + installation up to $8000. Henry's diagnose the issue and found my car simply needed a tuneup, I got my mini Cooper back and my car runs great with no check engine light staring at me. This was my first time at Henry's, they seem like a family operated shop, their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I really wish I lived closer to this repair shop! They came highly recommended by another shop that couldn't do the job I needed done. I had an engine swap from one w124 ( '94 E320 ) to another. Their price was competitive, but their service was above all places I've been to. Very trust worthy and I loved that they treated me like a friend. I had some $$ issues and they were willing to work with me, but I was able to work it out in the end and get them paid fully when the service was complete. Took my wife's CLK 350 to Henry's for the first time and talk about thorough and knowledgeable! Kim knows her stuff! She went over the service in detail explaining what's what and how this part does this and etc. She let me know some of the concerns she had for the car on things I should consider in future repairs, but never felt pressured to do the service now. What I was most impressed with was how fast they were. Under the care and direction of Master Mechanic, Tony Finch, his techs performed mechanical magic. I pulled in at 8:10am got Service A done, had 4 cam/crank sensors replaced, expansions valve covers replaced, air filter and cabin filter replaced and they ran a diagnostic on the whole car. I was back on the road no later than 12:30! Car runs great, no more oil leak, no more check engine line and yes, I would highly recommend this shop to everyone. read more

Found this gem while driving through a alley in Whittier. I stopped by to see if they could replace my low beam headlight not only did they changed in immediately they also changed the side mark light. They topped off my fluids. I couldn't be happier with this company. Very professional and their shop is super clean. This shops saved me lot of time. I took my car for a smog check; they took my money, and then told me they could not do the check that day. I asked for my credit card payment back, and this has not happened. I am being charged $42.75 for NO service. Henry's Auto Repair is not customer respectful. I cannot recommend a company that wants to take $42.75 for not providing any service. read more

I can't express how grateful I am to Kim and the mechanics here. I brought my car in desperately thinking I had a bad transmission. I couldn't get out of first gear. They were so busy but still looked at the situation and found that a plug was saturated in oil and shorting out. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and I was out of there in a couple hours. I bring my car here for regular service and for brakes and they are always so good to me and my car.
