I kept wanting to take my Nissan 2014 Altima to Venegas Auto Care for months. The shop owner Victor who I meet is very sincere, genuine, and doesn't up sell. He has good judgement if additional parts are needed and will certainly call you for approval. I had shopped around for a shop who can help replace my timing chain, tensioner, timing guard, water pump, etc. who can charge fairly. I also wanted him to look into a weird noise I was getting only when I accelerated. Venegas had the best price in town. Price wasn't the main factor why I went with them. David, Victor, and their team at Venegas are the best! They are honest, extremely reasonable in price, and they work on all different types of cars. A few years ago, they re-welded my cracked header in my Toyota Matrix with a better, stronger weld than it had come with from the manufacturer, in a better location so that it would not crack again. This time, they saved me $1,000 to replace my two-part catalytic converter and downstream O2 sensor. Especially as a woman, it is very difficult to find honest, reasonable mechanics. I went to Venegas on a recommendation from Sears, and they have always been my breath of fresh air, especially as a college student on a limited income. My boyfriend took auto-shop in high school and is quite the craftsman and welder, but since his career transition into computers, he no longer has the tools to work on my car. When he took a look at the work that David from Venegas did, he knew that they were the real deal. I have called around to other mechanics for price comparison, but there are none that even come close. At another mechanic, I had been quoted $1400 for the same cat and $300 for installation. At that rate, I had priced out buying a scooter and saving my money for a "new to me" car with fewer miles. Turns out, the major brand parts have a ton of overhead to cover, which is reflected in the outrageous price. The guys at Venegas took care of me for less than $800. I now live 40 miles away from Venegas, but I would rather tow my car there, because I would not take it anywhere else! I'm from NorCal, so all my mechanic friends are up there so I took my friend's recommendation to go to this place. The guys that work here are really good guys. I came in here for the first time for my brakes and it was around $150-170 (it was a while ago I can't remember) for all my brakes. This was in comparison to my Acura dealer which was like $350 for front brakes only. Venegas is great for my college student budget! The second time I went here was because my AC was having problems and they fixed at like a 50% price difference from what the other mechanics were offering. Also, it was months after I got my brakes done and they remembered me! I was so surprised. Anyways if you don't have a mechanic, go to these guys. Bought my timing belt and water pump replacement parts for my Eclipse 4G and called these guys up. Told me to buy the kit (which has both timing belt and water pump) which I did buy before calling them. So I take my car to them on a Saturday at 9:00 A.M (they close at 3) and they took my car in right away. Told me that it should be done by 3, usually takes 2-4 hours because my type of engine as I have the GT model. Called at 12:00 P.M and the guy said my car was ready to go. I was like "Damn that was fast lol" So I go there and went to pay. The cashier complimented my car Even told me they checked all my fluids, car runs great. Said I was good to go. I purposely waited a month after getting service here to see if anything was still wrong with my moms car. I am honestly so glad O'Rileys manager recommended this place to me. First of all, I came 30 minutes before closing and they were happy to help me and check out what was wrong with the car battery. Apparently there were acid stuck to the copper part and I needed new ones so the battery will last for a couple years. (This is exactly what O'Rileys manager said too, very glad they said the same thing). Since I came so close to closing they were unable to do it on the spot and told me to come back tomorrow at 10am, plus this gives them time to order the parts specially for my moms car. They quoted me the price on the spot $50 for the part and to install it. It would take about 45 minutes. They didn't try to rip me off or anything. read more

I trusted this place because Rudy is a cool guy and I thought that if it's a family business they're doing a honest work but I thought wrong. I've always gone here with repairs and I noticed it's not always fixed the way I wanted it to be but I figured it's because it's non-dealership quality but actually I was wrong again because 1. My first visit here was to check the noise coming from my lower left wheel, they didn't know what was wrong so I went to pep-boys and they found out it was a bearing (I paid $20) the repair was cheaper with venegas so I went there anyways and the problem was gone. 2. My last visit was a problem with my car not starting up. I figured it was my battery so I went to Wal-Mart and got it changed but it wouldn't start again after a week so I double checked my battery and it was fine so I called Venegas to see if my alternator has a problem. I called them twice to double check and see if it was the problem and they just said it was and they charged me $360+ for Parts and Labor. 2 days after having it repaired it wouldn't start again. I'm so furious, I've already paid too much money on this and my car is still not working. I paid them knowing that I'm overpaying just because I trust these people more than I trusted my coworkers who volunteered to changed my alternator but they failed my expectations. They took my car to inspect it and I went to see them after work. I asked them what was the problem and THEY DID NOT KNOW THE PROBLEM! They changed my alternator for NOTHING! I'm done with them and I fixed the problem googling for 2 days and $10 for the part. They only fix whatever you told them to fix, they don't find the actual problem and even if you told them what to fix they won't do it properly because when I asked them to replace my brake pads and resurface my rotors my left pads are making sounds again! read more

This is a place I would send my friends and family to. I went in yesterday, after having an issue with Walnut Firestone. Rudy welcomed me and explained why my tire was unsafe to drive on. You may think that he did this to sell me another tire, but Victor (the owner) said that he couldn't get me an exact replacement and that the car would look ugly with a different tire. So, my husband ordered a tire online, I brought it in to be replaced. Twenty minutes and $25 later, I'm set to go. I met the owner's daughter who works there and can see that he treated me the way that he would hope others would treat his daughter. It was not fun at all having your car broke down on the first rainy day of 2018. Luckily I was right next to Venegas Auto Care Center. After briefly parked in the next plaza for running some errands, my SUV decided to give up on me and not starting. So I thought about trying my luck as I vaguely remember there were auto shops nearby. I walked over to Venegas and see if they could help. It turned out to be such a blessing for this whole experience. First, Rudy was very kind and pushed the heavy duty charger on a dolly through the rain to try to start my car. Ended up the battery was not charging. But he quickly identified the issue to be with the alternator. If I was only to replace the battery, the car will die down again within a few days/weeks. Love the expertise and honesty demonstrated. So I moved my car over to the shop and Victor the man had already started contacting vendors for the parts. Weighing time and price for the parts, he talked to at least five vendors trying to get the alternator in the most economical and timely manner. And boomed! The parts arrived in no time and the crew worked on the job efficiently. Within like 2 hours (a good chunk was waiting for the part to arrive), my oil was changed and my alternator was replaced. The rate was also very reasonable, and most importantly, my ride was up and running again. I sincerely appreciate the immediate help and professional service provided by Victor, Rudy, and the crew.
