Very diner like. Our server was pretty rude. So, no. We wanted to like it but we were not impressed at all.

Great food and staff. Made us feel like family. The fish and chips were particularly delicious. Honestly no complaints.

. Prices to high for family's and people on fixed income. Food was average nothing to brag about. A little disappointed with it.

Great choice it was delicious, but the food was especially remarkable, one thing about the crabcakes is the pickled vegetables done in house, wonderful flavor and especially the thickness of the slice and vegetable choice. The steak was very good. Although I'm from Montana, so I've got a little spoiled on good steak from home. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. Really amazing, people always overcooked shrimp. The ambience is open and big was a little too hot to eat outside but it's nice That such a wonderful restaurant had outside seating. One thing that really shined was the service. The bartender was a young lady who was in training. But she always had a big smile was unbelievably helpful and attentive. The key when training and learning something new to you is have a good attitude about it it always shines forward. I had management and multiple staff people check in and ask me how I was doing. Overall service was beyond words, especially the bartender in training, Katherine. One thing that's just a personal preference, I don't think high-quality steakhouses should use serrated blade knives. A good sharp steak knife cuts meat differently. A good steakhouse should take the time to sharpen and have a good knives. Serrated blade knives are for info-commercials

We started with the deviled eggs which seemed like they didn't even try to add flavor. Only one person in the group ordered steak which was not cooked to the order, and was completely unevenly prepared. Two people in the group ordered the burger which were ordered as medium and came overly well done. The prices are the only high end items on the menu. I have no problem paying for a decent meal, however the Chophouse of Chapin needs to address the food quality. I would advise to go elsewhere for your dinner plans.

The atmosphere is very casual but I can see this place getting very loud. The waitress was attentive but not hovering. The owner came for a chat a couple times and was a real gent. The food however was a big... meh. I had the cod and while it was tasty was the size of a filet o fish. which was very disappointing. This was better than my wife's order of tri tip, which was much more like roast beef. We are both of the mind that sometimes mistakes can be opportunities so we just accepted it without complaint. It wasn't bad, but it was. Just ok. So overall, the experience was simply just that. Ok.... $50 of ok. I just don't make enough to have $50 ok experiences.

The prices are reasonable compared to SoFlo. My favorite thing is their hush puppies. Perfectly fried and soft on the inside. We usually go for dinner. This time we were there for lunch. We ordered the special Mahi with a side of fries. My husband Mahi was served blackened, delicious fresh and perfectly cooked. I ordered the grouper bites with two sides, sautéd veggies and hush puppies. The grouper was fresh, plentiful. I usually order the fried green tomatoes and the hush puppies as a starter. We have also had the pasta and the crab cakes, equally delicious. Menu also offers burgers, sandwiches, wings and vegetarian options. There's outdoor seating. And parking in the back. Highly recommend.
