Your grilled cheese was delicious. The crab cake with bacon sandwich with the skinny fries were in point and very fulfilling. Services was good and the drinks were good. It was a good brunch

The ambiance was very nice, but the lights kept flickering, otherwise it's a nice, enjoyable environment. The truffle fries were my favorite! Although they are extremely shoestring-cut fries, they were really good. I ordered a ranch to accompany the fries, and the ranch was delicious. I ordered the margarita as well as the sangria; both of those cocktails were very sweet, and although they lacked the taste of alcohol, they were good. The crab rangoon dip was okay. I can't put my finger on it, but it was missing something that would have taken it to the next level, and it would have been really good. It was almost there, though, and the wonton chips were great as well. I was not a fan of the wings. They did not have flavor and seemed a bit off in taste and texture. Next time I think I'll try something different. Lastly, the service was great. The restaurant and restrooms were clean.

Been thinking of this place a few times, but have passed because I thought it was a seat yourself and wait in line at different counters for your food.......not at all! The service is above par, from checking in to the service at the table, very attentive and quick! The only reason I didn't go 5 stars is because the length of the menu, I was thinking more.....but honestly the choices they had will make me come back! I got the waygu burger and it was cooked PERFECTLY, seasoned amazing, the truffle fries were crispy and flavorful, the homemade ranch was some of the best I had, and I honestly loved their smoked ketchup! The place would be even better during the hot months due to their outside seating, so can't wait to try.

Lots of outdoor seating. Live music and a huge screen outside so you can catch a game. Service was pretty quick and they did well to accommodate a large group. They do take reservations. Pricing is reasonable. Lots of drink selections. Would come back and try a burger and a cocktail flight

Service was great, although they were training a lot of new people. Inside was pleasant. The food is where it fell off for me. All the great reviews on the mom burger and fries, so with us being in town today, my wife and I decided to try the place out. She ordered the stepmom and I got the mom burger. The fries..... it made me think of overcooked McDonald with lots of parsley flakes and parm. cheese all over and they were extra greasy. So no go for me. The burger was a HOT MESS. Taste and look like a Sam's Club frozen patty, but with a LOT of this restaurant's sauce. It was soaked to the max. The taste was not the greatest to me. I would say we came, tried and now done. 50.00 later for Sam's Club meat and McDonald's overcooked fries just wasn't hitting.

My family was visiting my sister this weekend in Columbia and she took us here for dinner. Food was incredible, the flavors were great. We started with the crab Rangoon dip (not pictured) and it had a nice sweet Thai chili sauce with crispy wontons. For meals we got the MOM burger, truffle fries, Caesar salad, and steakhouse wedge salad. Everyone loved their meals. We were in the sunroom and even though it was raining the area was very cozy. Definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to try it, it gets very busy!

My husband and I Came to celebrate with my son & his fiancé, his army Boot Camp graduation from Fort Jackson. My son had heard about this spot and wanted to come check you guys out and you did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The ambience was very nice. The environment was great and we highly enjoyed ourselves and got stuffed. Our server katelyn was a sweetheart and we highly enjoyed our food and the service. Thanks we definitely recommend this spot if you are in South Carolina for some delicious food and great ambience..

Service was a tad slower than expected but the amount of people our server had was extensive. The grilled cheese had too much cheese for my liking. I would have also liked for it to be paired with something like tomato soup. The grilled cheese on the dinner menu just provides you a grilled cheese, nothing else. My toddler did enjoy it with me. The wings portion was nice. My mother had a side salad. Both not pictured (forgot to get photos). Live music started up just was we were leaving. It seems like a nice brunch spot

Service was great and food was really good! I would say the tacos could have been elevated slightly in the overall kick but flavors were still there. The vibes in the place were awesome and they had sports games up on the tv which made a great environment. Overall would definitely go again.

We came with the family and were immediately seated, which was great. However, it was clear the restaurant was short-staffed. We eventually had to ask for our waitress so we could place our order and get a refill on water. She was so busy that another waitress kindly stepped in to assist us. The food arrived surprisingly quickly once the order was placed. The truffle fries were a bit over the top with oil but still yummy. The bacon was tough and extremely salty. Unfortunately, the brunch burger was a letdown, as it was filled with gristle and lacked seasoning. Additionally, we had requested scrambled eggs on the burger, but when it was brought out with eggs that weren't scrambled, we asked for a side of scrambled eggs instead. This led to an awkward situation where someone from the staff informed us that we would need to pay for additional eggs. We had to explain that we weren't trying to get extra eggs, but rather just wanted the order corrected. We even offered to return the incorrectly prepared eggs. It seemed like a misunderstanding, but it felt as though the staff member thought we were trying to take advantage, which was disappointing. While the staff was generally friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant, these issues combined with inconsistencies in the food left us feeling that the experience was lacking overall. Since this is a spot I have enjoyed in the past and the bartender is amazing, I will keep it on the list and eventually try again.

When I walked in, I was amazed at what I saw inside, as it definitely was not what I was expecting (and I mean that in a good way!). I loved how dimly lit it was inside, which was complemented by miniature lights that were strung from the ceiling. Speaking of the aforementioned change of pace, I also appreciated how there were no TVs inside, which created an intimate atmosphere that focused more on conversing with your friends than watching whatever may have been on TV. Finally, as someone who always pays attention to a restaurant's artwork... I absolutely LOVED the artwork that was on display at Goat's. They had so many cool pieces of eclectic artwork, that you could almost consider it as much a small art museum as a restaurant. My favorite art piece is kind of hard to describe, but I guess you could say that it was of a God-like man in a suit controlling somebody who was playing golf. (I know, it's hard to describe, but like I said, it's eclectic.) My one (1) downside to Goat's, and the only thing keeping it from a five-star review, is that the bartender and servers were all pretty rude and arrogant. This is speculation, but maybe Goat's is one of those places that considers itself a "regulars" bar, and isn't very nice to people who aren't regular customers, but the three (3) employees I interacted with weren't all that inviting. All in all, Goat's was a great experience, and if it were an option, I'd probably give it something like 4.5 or 4.8 stars if I could. If the servers were a little less full of themselves, or maybe just in a better mood, I'd consider it a five-star experience. Nevertheless, Goat's was a great experience, I'll definitely be back, and I'd recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a unique experience in Five Points!

We entered a buzzing yet not busy dining area and were met with a wait ranging from 15 minutes to an hour. After another 20 minutes or so, we had received no further service. It was like a server hadn't been assigned to our table. As tempting as the food sounded, we ultimately had to leave because the service was so poor. 929 Kitchen was just down the road and saved the day by having a table available immediately. The place is very well air conditioned, and the space is very intentional. Visiting from out of state the waitress seemed a bit shy/new but curious about Wisconsin she warmed up a little bit. It's really cool that you can see the chefs in their element behind a glass wall while you wait. The silverware, or should I say Goldwear was beautiful. I started out with the All American Spritz- it was good but nothing extraordinary. However when I tried the pistachio martini, I was in disbelief! I was skeptical to order it as I've never even heard of one before and was unsure how pistachio would translate into a martini. It was creamy and somehow savory and sweet at the same time, the alcohol taste was nonexistent. And the rim was coated in pistachio crumbs. Both the drinks presentation was beautiful. I personally ordered the bbq chicken sandwhich, with mac and cheese instead of fries for the side. The sandwich was smoky, I could not stop eating it! If anyone was wondering what so special about the mac and cheese, it's the name of the noodles. And yes, the waitress will sound it out with you lol! The Mac and cheese wasn't creamy, and I found it a bit bland unfortunately. There was no order the same in the group I came with. The truffle fries were on the thinner crispier side, neat that there were different color of potatoes used. The duck wings came out like their very own presentation. I tried the alligator bites, that were served with 2 sauces, I thought there were kind of chewy , and weird enough I guess I have a preference with how my alligator is served since having tried some at the Wisco State fair. I love that the menu feels curated, you know what you're there for and it's not overwhelming to pick from the options of something new. The bathroom was very cute too! And the bar area was lit up, a cool atmosphere.

That created a slightly rushed feeling right from the start of the experience. When the food arrived, it was not served hot. The fries were seasoned but came out cold, so we had to send them back. The service also felt a bit disengaged, as though the server was ready to wrap things up, even though there was still about 30 to 45 minutes before closing time. That said, once the food was remade and served hot, it was really good. My salad, however, was not the same experience, as the lettuce had brown spots throughout, which took away from the overall quality. You can tell the kitchen has potential when the food is prepared properly, but consistency is the issue. The ambience is very cool and visually appealing. It is a bit dark for my personal preference in the evening, but I can imagine it being bright and beautiful during the daytime. The cocktail I ordered was just okay and didn't really stand out. Overall, there is definitely potential here, but improvements in consistency, service attentiveness, and food quality control would really elevate the experience.

The food surpassed my expectations, particularly the red pepper dip. I also saw the teriyaki beef tacos and thought they'd be meh, but they were really quite tasty! Did not order entrees. I would say they should add a vegetarian/vegan entree option (or substitution) (beyond something mundane like a salad)- maybe I didn't look hard enough. The service was good but not anything to rave about. We were there at what seemed to be a relatively slow time of day/week (maybe 20% of the restaurant was full). Nothing bad to say here. The pricing was as expected. Pretty typical. Also, why no champagne on the menu?! Come on guys (lol, again, maybe I didn't look hard enough). So- 4 out of 5. Not knocking it because of any complaints, it's just pretty average for Columbia. Though I do think they deserve higher than 3.6 based on my experience.

I loved the rustic feel, everything made out of liquor barrels, the lighting top tier. For appetizers, my friend got the crab Rangoon toast, and we got wings and deviled eggs. The toast was really good but I felt like it was one note, it needed something to cut the creaminess. The deviled eggs were so good with the cracklin chicken skin on top and the wings were crispy and flavorful . I think they were my favorites of the day. My bf got the lobster roll which he said was really good. The bun is toasted, the lobster is cold but he said it's not like ice cold, it's the perfect temperature. My friends said the shrimp and grits and chopped cheese sandwich were amazing. Only thing I'd say about the shrimp and grits is that the kale sitting on top like that is off putting. It could have been plated a little better. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of my food because it came out last but I got the grilled steak cooked medium rare and it was perfect ! They did put finishing salt which made certain bits really salty so I didn't like that. But other than that, everything was so good. I'd give the experience a 9/10.
