David is awesome! My hair stylist of several years moved out of state. I was in denial for several weeks before my messy long hair finally forced my hand. Luckily my brother's hair stylist David at Henry's Salon was available. I was not disappointed. David cuts men's hair (not sure if he does women's as well) and is a super nice guy. More importantly, he is very skilled and provided me an excellent cut. He doesn't rush and only schedules one cut per hour so you will get the extra attention to detail. As an attorney who spends a lot of time in court, I can't afford a bad haircut. I rarely leave reviews, but was so happy with his service, I wanted to give him a shout out. Also, the location is very convenient - near downtown, but not in the heart of downtown, and free parking. Come on guys, enough with the crappy haircuts. Highly recommended! read more

It's a shame Henry's only has 3.5 stars. Unfortunately it's mostly about bad hairdressers. Andre is who I see and have followed for a few years now. THE ONLY person I will see, ever again. I can't go on about how incredible he is, Denver is lucky to have him. Someone to his caliber should be in a much larger city (and charge a lot more). He's pretty "edgy" on my hair but I've seen him do some stunningly gorgeous hair. I get complimented almost daily and people think I'm about 10 years younger! Go to Andre! read more

My favorite Denver salon. It feels like home ~ Start with a glass of wine at the front desk. Check out the website ~ they include pictures of all the stylists so you can look at the person styling you ahead of time. It's a great opportunity to see if that person's style jives with yours. I love Carlton for hair ~ he gives a cut that grows out well ~ so the cut lasts longer. I see Gail for my nails. Gail is so personable and speedy. On my second visit, she had polish suggestions based on my skin color and previous preference. Her manicures are $25 a pop and last 12 days!! I love seeing Gail ~ always greets me with a hug and it feels like old friends catching up on boyfriends, trips and work. Count on dance music, neighborhood gossip, and quality. read more

Mia is an incredible stylist! I have a very short pixie cut that I loooove thanks to Mia. What she does with the color and precision of my hair is incredible. It's difficult to find a stylist who can cut short hair on a woman--trust me, I've been lots of places--but Mia at Henry's is the BEST. Truly. I had such an amazing experience! Finding parking is hard enough downtown and Henry's has a parking lot. From the moment you walk in the environment is very inviting. You are offered water or a glass of wine while you wait for your appointment. Melissa is very professional. She knows what she is doing in all things aesthetics. I had a facial today and I can't rave enough about how great my skin feels. I'm very picky about who I let touch my skin and I fully trust Melissa. She is very skilled and gentle with her hands. I LOVE THIS SALON. But you should know, I'm not a hair person, or even a very fashionable person. After hauling @$$ down 36 (within speed limits) amidst an hour or more of rush hour traffic to make my end of the day appointment, I was so glad to step into the friendly atmosphere of Henry's. I had called from Broomfield because I was worried I'd be late -- Adam the front desk guy checked with Carrie, who was fine staying if I was held up in traffic. Luckily, as soon as we hung up, it lightened up and I got there just about in time. Conveniently, they have a private lot on Pennsylvania, immediately next to their building. Beats trying to park on 17th! They tout their warm wall colors, interior lighting, and design on their website - and I thought that was kind of odd... I mean, I am going there for a hair cut, after all. Who cares what the inside really looks like? Oh boy do I get it now! Shutting out the cold and wind and walking into this entirely different environment was such a welcome change! No sooner had a checked in than Adam, the really friendly guy at the desk, offered me red, white, or beer. Gratefully, I accepted a glass of red and sat down to wait for my appointment. It's not urban concrete and florescent lighting, it's all cozy and comfortable and a lot of people there were smiling. None of the "I'm at a salon and I am so much better than you" BS that I've seen at some other places. Carrie, who I've actually followed around Denver a bit because she understands my thin and straight hair and doesn't cut it out of my comfort zone (cute/pretty v trendy/cutting edge), just landed a spot here so she got to work assessing my way overdue split end situation. A nice scalp massage with oils (white ginger??), a yummy smelling shampoo and we were on our way. She took (with my full permission) 2" off the ends and oh goodness, did it need it! No more weird fraying bits, no funky frizzy things waving at people from my ponytail ... now it's sleek and swished actually looks like I go into civilization once in awhile! I'm so glad she moved here and I can't wait to have an excuse to go back. I hear they do skin treatments, waxing, and nail stuff too, so... see you soon, Henry's! read more

Owner NOT polite, extremely unprofessional and not sympathetic when I was deleted from there system after confirmation sent and confirmed. I took off work to go to the salon. Owner just pointed fingers, blame and hung up on me. I will NEVER GO BACK/, refer or use this Salon! DO NOT USE THE WAXING SERVICE either - just the same lack of professionalism. I was recently in a wedding and Jorge was one of the stylists for the event. I was concerned that my hair would not be long enough to pin in an up-do. Jorge did a great job ensuring my hair was up and would stay in place during an outdoor ceremony. My hair looked incredible and stayed in place the whole day and night. Since my other stylist moved to Boulder, I had been searching for a place to find a good men's haircut as well as a beard trim with little success in Uptown. I finally found it here at Henry's. Nikki is one of the best stylists I have ever seen. She is very friendly and very professional. The shampoo, head massage and hot towels on the face were great! You can also drink a beer if you so desire as they provide it (it was 9am when I went so I didn't). The salon is very upscale, clean and well taken care of. The normal rate is $35 but she gave me a good deal and I tipped her well but it's well worth the $35 though. If you're a guy and looking for a great place to get a chop or style, I would definitely recommend going and seeing Nikki. I will definitely be going back there regularly to see her! A+++ read more
