I love this place! They always have a little bit of everything you could think you need on your health journey. From their personal Shea butter collection to crystals, teas or vitamins. They also partner with other local small businesses to have unique product lines from seasonings, candies, and more. They also have a bunch of different holistic treatments like colonics, aqua chi, reiki, ear candling, massages, and more! I don't know where else you can go and get such a range of services all dedicated to health. I personally have gotten the colonic service and it was a pleasure. The aid was a joy and knows how to make you feel comfortable in a situation that could be uncomfortable for some. I tell everyone, when they come to DC they have to go here. I came for the aqua chi foot ionizer. Their system does not use the wrist band, which is to form a circulating current between your body and the foot machine, and assists the the array to bring +/- ions in the water. The material used - basin and pitcher looked very used and not sanitary, although a trash bag was placed over the basin. The pitcher to add the water was extremely old and you could tell it was a clear color at one point, but now with lots of brown/old stains. I did not see the array to have been sanitized after use (many places will allow you to purchase your own for sanitary reasons). The store has lots of herbal supplies!!! The young man at the front should have a bit more professionalism...as he was on his phone so much he didn't notice me standing in-front of him and speaking to him. read more

A Life Saver, and I mean that in the literal sense. Dr. Hockaday-Bey is absolutely awesome and provides excellent service. I was SICK sick, system seemed to be going into toxic shock (had a fever, doubled over in pain, headaches etc...) and my horrible doctors office (KP) was dismissive and sent me home with an ineffective laxative and an Opiod (??!!) pain killer even though they diagnosed me as having a bowel blockage. Dr. Hockaday-Bey was kind and discussed possible treatments and different herbal remedies. I had 3 treatments and two weeks later, I am pain free, full of energy, and even LOOKING thinner (I weigh the same - lol). I highly recommend this place and their services. read more

I have tried twice to make an appointment at this location a few months ago and just recently. Both times I was told the service I wanted, there were no appointments available. I emailed back and asked for the next available appointment. NO RESPONSE. Then I emailed requesting a different service and ask for an appointment on any Saturday during their October Specials. Still NO RESPONSE. So I just emailed back and told them never mind. What type of business is this, guess they didn't need or want my money. I see all the YELP reviews are old. Let me just say there is a reason there are no current reviews, nobody has time for rudeness. So keep your coin ladies/gents and find a more customer friendly establishment that knows how to respond. read more

After scheduling an appointment and receiving several robo calls reminding me of my appointment and how my credit card will be charged for a no show. I made it to my appointment and was informed the technician was 5 to 10 minutes late. Ok, I just left work and drove from Montgomery Co. to be on time. I waited 20 minutes and decided to leave. My day was inconvenience. Its sad that this store will charge you for a no show and they are unprofessional in not showing up. read more

I recently had a Colonic at Herbal Infusion through a Groupon Deal. I wasn't quite sure what it was but I had read that it was good to have done every once in awhile. The Groupon made the deal half off of what would have otherwise seemed to be an expensive service. The woman that was "officiating" over my service was extremely polite and made it a comfortable experience. She was also very professional and answered what probably seemed like crazy questions. Great service (hehehe) and a great experience. I'll definitely get another Colonic and try the body wrap should they ever go on Groupon again. read more

Timing is not important to this establishment. I first scheduled a body wrap here and you have the choice to pre-pay or leave your credit card number. I choose to pre-pay. The person that perform the body wraps is also the owner. She was a few min late, ok cool. I scheduled a 2nd one, they forgot to place me in the appointment book, I received another date and the lady was 15 min late. I then bought a aqua chi and massage for my friend for father's day. He was to arrive at 10 am, and the day before, he received a telephone call to confirm his time. Once he arrived they started the aqua chi, but had to reschedule the massage for 2pm because the lady was not coming in. NOW I AM PIST, BECAUSE I HAD PLANS. Love the teas, herbs and all, but the service sucks. Will never get them again. My other concern is the clutter and cleaniness. read more

I general they are pretty good and have many great products. However, I had a seriously unprofessional encounter with a young lady that has made me never return. I was asking basic questions about the Kyolic product lines. She seemed annoyed that I was asking her questions. Then I asked which was focused on cholesterol and her response was "THE ONE THAT SAYS CHOLESTEROL ON IT". Unacceptable. I left and never returned. Herbal Infusion is a wonderful convenient shop! I don't understand Airial C. comment, I've been a customer since August of 2006 and they do not send out text messages at all. The owner is a sweetheart and she will talk to you about anything, she talks to anyone and everyone. As long as I've known they hold you card to save your spot on the books but they don't charge unless you are a no show. One bad apple out of the bunch can change the views on people, but you would have to go to the store to see for yourself. The services are great and they are continually adding more services! I found this spot on Spa Week's website. They were offering $50 deals for the MONTH of October for their Herbal Body Wrap, 50 minute massage, and Colon Therapy Treatment. I had received an colon therapy treatment from a different company "New Creation" before and told myself I would NEVER do it again but I'm glad I changed my mind and decided to give it another shot. I walked in and there was no wait for my service. I filled out my paperwork and went straight back to the room. The lady was very nice and listened to my needs and concerns. I explained how horrible my last session was at the other place and she asked if the machine looked similar to the machine she had in her office. I told her no, and she began explaining the difference between the two machines and why I had such a bad experience at New Creation. She provided me with Honey Ginger capsules prior to treatment which I thought was a nice touch. She had a really good bedside manner and respected my solitude. The experience itselfwas not painful at all! Right before the treatment was finished, she explained what was happening inside my body and recommended some ways to improve my digestive health. She did not push more treatment like the last lady at New Creation, or items from her herbal store (like I was expecting). I was willing to buy whatever helped but she said she only wanted me to address my needs. I thought that was very honest of her. I highly recommed her services. I made an apt for a colonic a week in advance for a 8am apt which must be paid for at the time making apt. As I was walking out my door to go for my colonic, I received a text that stated, "I am running 30 min late for your apt", no Good morning, no name, but that was fine with me. When I arrived I was met with a stone cold face woman who actually is the owner. I spoke and she barely moved her lips, I said to myself, oh boy I hope she is not the one who is going to be working on me. As she is looking past me, no eye contact, she hands me a clip board with a medical list longer than the one I have seen at Washington Hospital Center, and say fill this out, then she walks away. This list had every ailment under the sun on that paper which makes it almost impossible for any one my age not to have encounter. After checking one of the boxes and signing the dotted line to alleviate Herbal Infusion from any risk , I handed the form to her. She took the form, took one look, and laid it down on the counter and said I can not perform a colonic on you without a doctors note because if you check anything on that list that disqualified you from having one. This would not had been a problem if they let you know before they take your money and make the apt, when I asked her why they don't have some kind of blurb to let the customers know, she just coldly said, I can not. She was so cold and impersonal that I am glad she was not the one giving me a colonic because frankly I do not believe that she wanted to do it and could care less about losing my business. So, if you are looking for a warm, holistic environment you will find the building itself is warmer than the owner cold, harsh, awful disposition. A typical business that the owners think they are doing you a favor by letting you walk into their door and I can not imagine any one having a favorable experience with the owner because her nasty snobby attitude seem to be ingrained in her whole being. read more
