Excellent PT, mostly attentive nurses, and CNAs. Special acknowledgement to Maria, both Mohammeds, Elizabeth, and Andrea, to name a few, although there were many. The location and parking are good, very good PT, good food, an overall positive, friendly environment. One notable trait, no matter who I asked for anything, coffee cup, a towel, etc. they stopped what they were doing and took me to it. Trust me, unusual! Cons: The night crew leaves a lot of room for improvement. If you're close to your loved one, you'll want to stay with them at night. Or very nearby. The bed alarms are constant and are rarely responded to quickly. It was torture for my disabled husband. I will say they were accommodating about needing different roommates. It was just a hassle and many tormented nights because of it. This would be our first choice if we require it again.

My son was super depressed, completely defiant and starting to self medicate. He had control over…read moreour household and we were completely blindsided by who he had become in such a short period of time. His behavior changed drastically within a matter of three months and our family knew we needed a higher level of support to help him. We were extremely worried about sending someone in his condition to a Wilderness program, but felt we had no options until we discovered Paradigm. In our situation, we believed sending him to a place that would immediately provide him with hope and not require him to achieve levels to get there was ideal. The staff was amazing, extremely professional, caring and genuine. They spent many hours with us trying to figure out what was in our son's best interest and laid out strategies to get him there. During his treatment it became evident that his ADHD and a non diagnosed behavioral issue was at the core of his depression. Paradigm was patient and offered every resource they had to help us. They extended his stay and allowed us time to process their recommendations until we could determine next steps. The staff is top notch (something we realized when he was there, but was only more reinforced being home and trying to find quality therapists), but they do not fix your child's behavioral issues. What we felt they were best at was offering a safe environment for your child to identify what makes them feel angry, sad, depressed, hopeless, etc. and then they work hard to give them the coping tools and skills they need to live a happier, healthier life. Again, they can not make your child change something he/she is not ready to change. We ended up staying for almost 2 months and he was able to come directly home after many long sessions with their highly skilled therapists. It was extremely difficult and we hit many rough patches, but we made it and are so happy with our decision to keep him there. He's a much happier person and practices many of the coping skills he learned at Paradigm. They are also available to him if he needs to talk about something that he can't address with us or his therapist. This has been EXTREMELY helpful to his treatment. In all honesty, we are still struggling with his behavior (but mostly normal teen issues now), but not even close to what it was before he went. In addition to giving the teens coping skills, they work directly with the families weekly to teach parents how to have open communication and be more present in their lives. They have at least one weekly family session with a designated therapist via skype and one full day Saturday session just for parents in the am and then all families in the pm - it works!!! We went to EVERY Saturday session and learned so much about parenting in a much different way than we ever thought possible. You learn that you are not alone and there is hope - which is so important during these very difficult times. We miss it, we love it and we are so happy with our decision to send our son there. There are only two things I can think of that I wish I would have known, but I don't think that these have anything to do with Paradigm's reputation because these are universal issues. - There are kids that have way more experience with drugs than our child did (but this is going to be in any program) -It's extremely difficult for a child to change when they have no desire to (I think this is why wilderness programs are so successful if you can stomach it). Lastly, every parent I met there was happy they sent their child and have had positive results. Good luck!

It took a friend convincing me to get help and give Ritz a shot, and honestly, it was the best decision I ever made. The staff really knows what they're doing when it comes to this disease, and they helped me finally get off fentanyl for good. Ritz is clean, cozy, and has this chill vibe that makes it easy to settle in and focus on getting better. What I loved most was how the team treated me , they actually listened, kept it real, and showed real compassion because many of them had been through the same struggles. They didn't just throw a one size fits all plan at me, they made a plan that fit meIt felt like a safe space where I could be open and vulnerable without any judgment. I met people there I never thought I'd even hang out with, but some of them turned out to be the best folks I've met. We even went on weekend outings that showed me how to have fun without drugs. Oh, and huge shoutout to Steve, the chef, seriously, the best food I've ever had.

Not the best experience, I was targeted by certain staff members and treated poorly at times. while…read moresome staff members were exceptionally helpful and supportive(Danielle, nick, Laura, Johanna, and Chantelle as well as the chef). The overall company was trying to get the most money out of my insurance as possible. I started off in the sober living facility and during Christmas time, I had covid over winter and had to take NyQuil and that was the first excuse for forcing me back into a rehab program that was not needed. My reason for being in the program in the first place was that I had 18 back to back surgeries over the past 4 years and was on opioids for a long period of time so this was a way to detox in a safe environment. There was no psychological addiction, just physical dependence to opioids. They lied about multiple addictions to medication(amphetamine addiction) that I was prescribed since childhood and used it to get more money through insurance. They also lied about an alcohol addiction, when I am medically intolerant to alcohol. When I got back to the sober living after this time I was talked about poorly among staff members and called "attention seeking" for asking for a few days off in order to visit 2 dying family members. Eventually someone in the group had consumed alcohol and told the staff which upset another client due to the unfairness and favoritism. This upset client gave me alcohol without my knowledge or consent and afterwards told the staff that I was drunk. This other client had been upset and doing things like this for 2 weeks prior to this incident. I believe he did this in order to prove a point that they will send people they dislike or with good insurance back to rehab in order to get more money. This client later confessed to me he had put alcohol in my drink without my consent and I had a reaction to the alcohol and was placed back into the rehab facility. I was put on addictive barbiturates and unnecessary medications for 2 days before my insurance denied coverage due to fraudulent services. The alcohol level was so low that there was no logical reason I needed to be there. I was then abandoned as a patient had had to find a new place to live in 2 hours or I was out on the street. Remember it's just a business. They don't actually care about you. They left another 2 of my friends on their own where one eventually fell into a coma following her abandonment. Something else they did was contact my pharmacy and told them never to fill any of my prescriptions ever from any doctor. I was no longer under their care at all. I'm a disabled person and this made it very difficult to obtain medication that I needed. This is a HIPPA violation for sure.

My mother suffered a devastating stroke that left her unable to walk, unable to move her arms, and barely able to speak--at one point, the only word she could say was "ok." As a family, we were scared, overwhelmed, and unsure of what her future would look like. What this facility did for her... truly changed everything. Today, she is now speaking over 100 words. That transformation alone speaks volumes about the dedication and skill of the speech therapy team. They didn't just do their job--they gave my mother her voice back. The physical therapy department worked with her consistently, day in and day out. Even though she's still on her journey toward walking and regaining full use of her hands, the progress she's made has given her something priceless: belief. She now knows recovery is possible, and that mindset shift is everything. Let's be real--no place is perfect. But what sets this facility apart is the effort, the consistency, and the care. In a place where patients are going through some of the hardest moments of their lives, the staff still shows up with compassion and professionalism. From the valet to the front desk, from housekeeping to dietary staff, management, and especially the nurses and students putting in real, hands-on work--you can feel that people here care. And that matters more than anything. This is not just a facility--it's a place where real healing happens. To everyone there: thank you for giving my mother progress, hope, and dignity. Please keep doing what you're doing--you are truly changing lives.
