Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. Mary reached out very quickly after I submitted my project details, and I was able to schedule a Zoom consultation for the next day through their online scheduling system. She was kind, responsive, and upfront that a project of this size would be costly. After our consultation, she emailed me a detailed proposal with the full price breakdown, so I knew exactly what to expect before moving forward. Communication was fast and easy over email, and everything from scheduling the consultation to paying the invoice online felt organized and streamlined. I was still really nervous on the first day because I didn't know what to expect, but Melody, Erika, and Tito arrived right at 9:00 AM and immediately got to work after I gave them a walkthrough. They were so thoughtful and reassuring, and they always checked with me about what should be kept, donated, or thrown away. They were also incredibly meticulous. They carefully combed through everything and set aside important documents, money, and sentimental belongings, including things I had not even thought to look for, like my mom's passport and my family's Social Security cards. Knowing they were paying such close attention gave me so much peace of mind. They worked through an enormous amount of stuff during a heat wave and remained positive and efficient throughout the project. I was honestly so inspired by their work ethic. Mary had estimated that the sorting would take two full days, but they finished early on the second day! A Clear Path also coordinated the hauling with Richard and his team at Cote Trash Hauling and Cleanup. The hauling had been estimated to take two days, but they arrived right at 7:00 AM and finished the entire job in one day! I was amazed by how quickly they worked, especially since the apartment was on the second floor and there was so much to remove. By the end of the third day, the apartment was completely emptied. Richard and his team moved everything we were keeping into storage, transported the donations, and took the remaining junk to the dump. There is absolutely no way I could have handled all of this on my own, especially while juggling work and everything else related to my mom's transition. I feel so lucky that the project went as smoothly as it did! I'm incredibly grateful to Mary, Melody, Erika, Tito, Richard, and everyone else involved. After posting my original review, I received a call from a boss/manager at Closets by Design. During that conversation, I was told that because I had posted a negative review, they could also choose to not remove the closet doors / take it back now. I found this extremely concerning and felt that my attempt to publicly document my experience was being used against me while I was actively trying to resolve the situation with the company. Following that, I was eventually told that they WOULD remove the existing closet and replace it with an upgraded, inset-style design in an effort to make the situation right. I was specifically told that samples would be mailed to me so I could see the available materials and choose what I wanted for the replacement. I was then informed that they were changing what had been discussed. I was told that although they would redo the closet in the upgraded style, they would NOT allow me to choose a different material/color and would only redo it in the same color/material as the closet I am currently disputing. That is incredibly frustrating because the entire point of removing and rebuilding this closet was to correct an installation and design that I have been unhappy with from the beginning. If this were simply a matter of replacing a damaged door or drawer front, I could understand requiring the original material. But they offered to REMOVE and REDESIGN the closet into a completely different style as their proposed solution. I was told samples were being sent to me specifically so I could review the material options. At this point, I feel like every time we come close to reaching a resolution, the terms change. I have given Closets by Design multiple opportunities to resolve this directly. I was willing to allow them to completely redo the closet rather than continue pursuing removal and a refund, as long as the replacement actually corrected the issues I have been raising. Now that they are changing the terms of that resolution as well, I have returned to my original position and will continue pursuing my dispute and the appropriate avenues available to me. I genuinely wanted to be able to update this review saying that Closets by Design stepped up, stood behind its work, and made this right. Unfortunately, at this point, I cannot say that.

This is a sales platform being marketed as a concierge service…read more The Kandela representative, Jessie Vargas, could not have been more helpful when selling and signing me up for the various services, but when I reached out to her again to cancel one of said services; she was difficult to reach, didn't call for the scheduled telephone appointment we set up, didn't respond to emails, and when I finally did get a call from her to cancel the said service she said she would be on the line with me, providing all necessary information to go through the cancellation process with the service provider. However, once she connected with the service provider's customer service line she transferred me and left me on their hold message for 50 minutes before the service provider's agent picked up the call. She never returned to the line to provide any relevant information to the service provider as she had stated she would. It may be true that it saves time on the front end for consumers by streamlining the sign up process, but any time saved will be wasted on the back end if any issues arise. Again, this is NOT the concierge service it is advertised as and that not only seems deceitful, it gives me the impression that the Kandela representatives are on some incentive/commission-based system with the service providers that does not reward spending the necessary time or effort to actually provide customer service to consumers.
