Because she's literally and physically, "SPOT ON" with where she has the ability to find my pain. Here's my short issue: Lower back pains; Strains in my L and S area, but luckily no sciatic pain down my leg. I started having lower back pain about 5 years. I had done a cortisone shot the first year, but that only gave me relief for a year. Did another shot a second year, and no "instant" relief or any relief at all. I was puzzled and upset. Third year, started doing physical therapy, yet the pain would not go away. My doctor tells me, I'm gonna need to live with lower back pain and manage it (eye-roller). So, as a last resort, I thought I'd give acupuncture a try because I knew it had helped me in the past. Found Dr Joy online, and easily scheduled a screening session. With my first visit, she listened to me, found where my pain was located, and questioned me on how I got to this point. Its like she understood my pain spots, what points to hit, and how to relieve it. After the first session, my lower back had felt ten times better than before! And now, the lower back pain is nearly gone! With that, I made Dr Joy my regular acupuncturist. Her office is small, but has two rooms. Both of them have clean acupuncture tables set up. Regarding insurance claims or issues, she would let me know beforehand. My previous acupuncturist had issues with my insurance, which was why I stopped going to him. Her office is close to me, so I'm sticking with her! If you've got pain that won't go away, give acupuncture a try, and I highly recommend Dr Joy!
