At first I alternated physical therapy and acupuncture, one session each week, providing time for my body to adjust after each session. After several months I dropped the physical therapy and continued with acupuncture -- which seemed to offer much more improvement in motion and comfort per visit. When Whitney went on maternity leave, I switched to Laura. Needle placement remains mysterious to me, but they often found places that worked wonders. As of now my mobility and comfort level are vastly improved, and a recommended surgery has been avoided. Needles galore, but a fine experience each visit.

I did (my CO2 levels are elevated) and today I received a notice that I would no longer be their patient ***Earlier I had received a personal note from Whitney so this was a shock To call it underhanded and DISHONEST would be mild

After my first consultation I knew this place was the place that would help me Reverse all of my unknown issues. Turns out after straining my hip flexor in track and tearing my MCL playing football back in higj school caused some pretty traumatic issues that came back to haunt me due to lack of knowledge and guidance. Two a half years later I've learned how much my body was compensating for the lack of strength and balance necessary to support my lower back. Here I am now, typing this with no back pain - just got back from a great gym workout - yes I am still reversing a few issues, but the trend is up. All because of Alyssa and her team helping me and guiding me in the right direction towards a better, more comfortable and enjoyable life. I've learned so much not only about how the body works, but how to correctly take care of myself when it comes to daily habits and recovery systems put in place to effectively reduce or eliminate pain in my spine and nervous system. Alyssa and her team have such a wide array of knowledge and they will do their best to make sure you're taken care of. Because that's what they did for me. I highly recommend Modern Movement Medicine to anyone who is looking to improve their lives. Will go here until either I die, or Alyssa and her team dies. Such a high quality chiropractor. Thank YOU, Alyssa. You are the reason so many people can go back out into the world knowing how to take care of their body's.

8hearts.org Doctor: Dr. Sandberg-Lewis…read more * Even though it's worth the wait, you may have to wait several months before you can get seen. In October of 2017, I was in so much pain, but the next available "new patient appointment" then was at the end of December of 2017. My 1st follow up appointment was in March of 2018. I didn't get feedback until then because they had me do home tests after my December appointment & they needed those results to help guide me. I was disappointed & skeptical (I'm not one who gets better because of the placebo affect) however, after taking their herbal supplements as well as having an awesome emotional break through under the care of Daniel Bates in Vancouver WA (https://lacamascounseling.com/counselors/daniel-bates/ ) , I'm so happy to say, I feel better than I have in my life * Your insurance may not pay for much or at all. However, when I had seen the gastroenterologist in October of 2017, he had prescribed Rifaximin & my insurance refused to cover that (we tried several times with several letters/appeals). Rifaximin cost us about $1,600 (if I remembering correctly). It was TONS of money either way. I did feel "good enough" afterwards. However, after going to 8 heart & wellness, I feel amazing! Night & day. I'm so happy I stuck through with them. * When I first started calling there I could NEVER get through with the receptionist. However, they have seemed to fixed that now. Plus once you become a patient, you can join their website login & Dr. Sandberg-Lewis' assistant will get back to you immediately * I have SIBO & had tried several things. I knew my stress was making it worse, but didn't know what to do to help it. I had tried the LOW FODMAP diet, but I was still miserable. I had no/low energy, stomach pain. I couldn't wear jeans or most of my clothes with a waist band because even if the clothing fit, it just hurt too much. I ended up finding one style that I could wear to work & were still comfortable (they are 4 way stretch (see here: https://www.betabrand.com/womens/pants/womens-black-boot-flare-dress-pant-yoga-pants ). * Anyway, my gut has improved so so much. I was still eating the same as I had before (healthy with a few processed snacks occasionally), but the last 2 weeks, I've gone to just veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, meat (sparingly ... chicken or salmon ... steak if it's not greasy). Anyhow, I did that to bring my cholesterol down, but my gut was already feeling great before then. Now that I've switched my food & got an adjustable desk at my work (with a push of a button I can stand, sit, do a yoga pose all while working). I'm going to set it up for my home office as well (https://www.bdiusa.com/working/lift-standing-desks ) *Also, so you get an idea of how bad I was. In April OF 2017, I got shingles. I'm 40 & I got shingles!!! They were so painful. Like getting a flu shot throughout the day. That's how low my immune system was from having SIBO. I continued ramping up on the vitamins though (and my gut was already getting better then but my energy was still low). Now, I finally see the results (for the last 3 weeks)!!! It's awesome. If it turns out to be a fluke, I'll update this review, but I highly doubt it.
