I was driving behind one of their vehicles today on 70 when they littered out a LIT cigarette- so not only littering, but a fire hazard. I guess they think the world is their trashcan. Hercules installed a wood privacy fence with trellis at the top around my yard about a year ago. The installers were great, but the salesman was a bit difficult to deal with, especially when it came to some warping, shifting, and splitting of the fence. ​​Nails affixing the fence slats to the post are coming out causing the post to shift. When talking about how this could be resolved, I was told that I could hammer the nails back in. When I told him I couldn't do it because I didn't have that kind of strength (I have back problems), he responded by saying "Don't you have a son who could do it?" Besides the fact that I have no children, this was an inappropriate remark. Customer service was very much lacking. I even had to secure my own permit. I do not recommend using this company. read more

Had a large, old picket fence replaced with steel and another smaller project with Hercules, including a gate. I interviewed all the major fence companies. Rob, the salesman, was patient as I made changes, was always available and reliably cheerful. I really appreciated that. And the quality is tops. read more

At first I thought this was going to be a positive working relationship- responsive, knowledgeable, quick with a quote for our fence work. But after we put down a deposit, the customer service completely disappeared- to the point where I got some pretty unsavory responses when I asked about installation time. The work got done, but I would not recommend using this company. read more

They showed up on time, took care of everything, even being careful with all the plants in my yard. Chris and Daniel were amazing installers and did a fantastic job. Hercules Fence contractor came out and did a decent job we thought but when the gate was installed the wrong size post was actually installed. We could not open or close the gate. When I called to make them aware because they "guarantee" their work a contractor was sent out and confirmed that it was the wrong size post and that was the last we heard from them. They stopped answering my calls and eventually wore me down until I stopped calling. They are the worst at guaranteeing their work. read more

This company was contracted to replace the wooden fencing in my condo complex this November. The quality of the work was astonishingly amateurish and in many areas downright sloppy. I posted a picture of a gate that was built crooked and face and cap boards that don't even come close to matching at the corners. I asked the crew foreman to come look at some of the errors made on my fence, but he never showed. I would not hire this company to build a doghouse. My pets deserve better. read more

I used Hercules Fence to maintain and repair our community entrance gate. I am the HOA president of our gated community and I worked with Hercules Fence for 5 months hoping that their next service call would be better than their last service call. It kept getting worse. I wont use them again. After their service men repaired our entrance gate I seldom found bolts and washers on the ground that were supposed to be used to re assemble the motor housing. On another date, after our gate arm was replaced it wasn't attached to the gate door straight. It works but it is slanted and uneven. It was never put back straight. Yesterday morning, Sunday 1/20/19 our exit gate stopped functioning. It was stuck closed. I texted Mark White, my contact for Hercules Fence. He did not reply. Today (Monday) I texted him again at 8:14AM and received no reply. Then I called him (6) times throughout the day and he did not answer his phone. Finally at 4PM he replied to my text telling me that he was "in meetings all day". Customers that need better service, quicker replies, and more precise repairs should look elsewhere. read more

The price was good and I liked the salesman. However the crew that turned up to do the job did not speak any english. Unfortunately we couldn't communicate and this lead to the fence being placed in slightly the wrong spot - and thereby losing about one foot of land alongside my home, and rendering that flower bed along that boundary unusable. Plus, the gate latch mechanism broke within one month of installation. They said we must have allowed it to slam but that was not the case. After some argument they sent out a repairman. When the weather warned up, it then became impossible to unlatch the gate. Even the postman complained that he could not get through the gate. We called for a repair - it took literally months for them to send someone out...let's see if that will fix the problem... read more

We had Hercules remove our old fence and put in a new one. We're very satisfied with the new fence. The sales guy, Rob, was terrific - gave us lots of options, and after the fence was installed he provided after-sales advice on maintenance, staining, etc. On one section of the fence, the slats were installed slightly crookedly, enough so that it would've driven us nuts if we had had to look at it for years & years. Within a day after e-mailing Hercules about the problem, they sent a crew out to fix it. read more

Our new Hercules fence is fantastic. Their bid was extremely competitive, beating out Long and several other companies and the work was performed by a super hardworking , competent and friendly crew. The estimator was very informative and helped use decide on a style for our unusual lot, (small with many grades). He even let us move the pickets to a distance of 1.5" rather than 2.5" for the same price! We could not be happier read more

Fence was nice but they left the area a mess, dirt was everywhere. Neighbors complained of the mess. Lawn was destroyed, grass killed for a simple fence installation. They made me feel like it was a small job and not worth their time. Haven't had the fence for two weeks and the latch on the gate won't open. read more
