A MUST DO and MUST SEE when you are in the area! What first piqued my interest to check this place…read moreout was the sign was out in front of the mission looking like chapel. You can see it after you pass by Lake Mead on 93. It was advertising for a gift store and resale shop and open to the public located on the grounds. So if you are coming here for the gift/thrift/resale shop: Limited Hours - Mon - Sun 10am-4pm Go thru the gates, use the parking area in front of chapel, walk toward chapel and follow the pathway to the right of the chapel. It will lead you to the Spanish structure clearly marked "Gift Shop" It's a nice size shop, clean, none of that musty odor, organized pretty well, the merchandise was either gently used or in new or newer condition. The young man running the shop said that some of the casinos donate the unclaimed items from lost & found Everything is priced to sell. Dirt cheap if you ask me. My finds this visit, puka shells, Hawaiian jewelry $1&2. Bought a wallet for $2! Looks brand new. Crazy...Found a gold plated silver dollar in it!!! On my visit I also saw some pretty evening dresses, trendy clothes for teens, lots of shoes for men and women. All kinds of nick knacks. Vintage stuff. Office supplies, toys, kitchen appliances, dinnerware. Like all thrift shop places it could either be a hit or a miss depending on what you are looking for. Proceeds from gift shop goes to the kids . So yes this is a MUST DO! MUST SEE! - NOT ONLY is there a shop, there is a small classic car museum and part of the grounds is open to the public as well. It's nestled in the rolling hills, there's also a pathway up the hill with the Stations of the Cross leading up to a memorial. with a few benches. To top off the serene setting, the view of Boulder City and Lake Mead from here. Pretty cool! What I learned also from talking with young man running the gift shop was that St. Jude's Ranch for Children is the safe haven and home to abused kids, pregnant and parenting teens, and transitional home for young adults. They nurture and teach the kids life and job skills. He proudly told us that they have a 100% high school graduation rate. Simply amazing! St Jude's Ranch for Children is not affiliated at all with Danny Thomas's St. Judes's non profit org. In 1967 Father Jack Adam's founded this place https://stjudesranch.org/about-us/history/ and for 47 years now it's been home to many kids. When we were milling about the place, kids were just getting off the school bus and you could tell they were happy and felt safe and welcomed here. The public is welcome and there are plenty of volunteer opportunities https://stjudesranch.org/get-involved/volunteer-opportunities/ There's so much more to this special place. Next visit will be to see the classic car museum and the chapel. Another update soon to come!

2016 Yelp 100 Review Challenge 83/100…read more Waited a while to write a review because this place is near and dear to me. I'm not religious or Catholic (they do have a Catholic church) but earlier this year I started going here every weekend with my family. It's become a weekend tradition. The church is beautiful. It's small but it has a welcoming vibe and strong spiritual presence. Prayers I've prayed here, have been answered. Miracles beyond my understanding. At the entrance of the church, there's a prayer request book. I love that. I'll also look at other people's prayers (not to be nosy) but to pray for them as well. You never know what people are going through. This tops my list of favorite places. It's also a non-profit that shelters and transforms the lives of abused or at risk children. They also collect old cell phones to restore and give the teens to use. Love that. THRIFT SHOP: They used to have a car museum which felt like it was haunted (lol) but now that space holds the thrift shop. Sorry, car museum is no longer available. Service is always friendly here. When you donate here (monetary and things you no longer want) the profits go to supporting the children. Once in a while, I'll see weddings here. It's a beautiful place. I think it was also featured in the movie Fools Rush In.

My family and I were in Boulder City for the afternoon and randomly just decided to walk in and…read morecheck this store out I'm glad we did. It was a little more expensive than I expected though. The woman inside was very friendly, definitely working hard to sell a pair of sandals, but I wouldn't say she was pushy at all. We did end up getting a pair of sandals for my wife and she is pretty happy with them. It is a little strange though that there are signs all over that say "no pictures". It's just clothes and shoes, so the no pictures thing makes me wonder about some of the things mentioned in the myriad of bad reviews. But I have nothing bad to say. Had a great experience

Warning: Scam Company - Counterfeit & Defective Products!…read more I ordered two college sweatshirts from LadyBoutiqueBD in September 2025, and what I received was nothing like what was advertised. The sweatshirts were defective, counterfeit, and extremely poor quality -- the seams were coming apart, the fabric was cheap and discolored, and there were no tags or branding of any kind. When I contacted the company, they refused to take responsibility and kept offering small partial refunds (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%) instead of fixing the problem. To get a "full refund," they demanded I ship the items back to China at my own expense -- something they never disclosed before purchase. Shipping there would cost more than the original order and there's no way to track or prove delivery. Their return policy is vague, misleading, and intentionally deceptive. It doesn't mention returns must go to China, nor does it explain who decides if an item is defective. The language they use ("partially responsible") is deliberately unclear to avoid refunding customers. I later confirmed with representatives from Auburn University and the University of Mississippi that this company is not authorized to produce or sell apparel with their logos. That means they are selling unauthorized and counterfeit merchandise. Despite clear evidence -- photos, emails, and confirmation from trademark owners -- the company refused to cooperate or follow its own policy that states disputes would be handled through PayPal. I had no choice but to file a chargeback with my credit card company to recover my money. Do NOT buy anything from LadyBoutiqueBD. They are dishonest, deceptive, and operate outside U.S. consumer protection laws. The clothing is garbage, and the company is a complete scam.
