Back for the first time in a while. While the place is still clean and the staff is friendly enough...I'm unsure as to why I am waiting over half an hour to be seen...I was literally the only care in the parking lot and I didn't see anyone else or hear other animals like you normally do. They may love animals but they don't appear at this time to respect the time constraints of humans. ** Update, I was left in the room for over an hour. Eventually I walked out to see what the deal was and after ANOTHER tens minutes of my time wasted, they asked me to come back on Saturday. I already made arrangements today and now you want my weekend time too? Eventually they were able to take me as I was leaving and the Dr and her staff did appear to be genuinely apologetic and led me to believe that there was nothing that could have been done to avoid the delay. A discount would have been nice but that's obviously a pipe dream. Sorry's are free. my wife had a similar problem with a scheduled procedure for one of our dog that have been weeks in advance. It's on a workday. She had our kids at the time. It was supposed to be a quick drop off, but of course they always complicate things and make you wait longer than they say they're going to. the customer service there has just always been Trash. The veterinary care is great, but they're just not great at taking care of humans and so for that they can maintain a low rating. read more

I attempted to use this office and was baited with one price then given a price almost 3 times higher in the office for simple vaccines. This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. I requested a call from the office manager and have yet to hear from anyone. Cannot trust this office with my animal after this! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere! read more

I looked far and wide to find the best vet hospital for our dogs. When my wife died, I really leaned on my dog for support, so I would spare no expense and took our dogs to Heritage regularly. After a couple of years taking them to Heritage, my dog Rosie started having motion problems, so I took her to Heritage. Dr. Tran was out, again. So the substitute vet diagnosed her with arthritis and she was given some pills which helped her. After a couple more visits and some xrays, they started giving her shots every two weeks to help her get better. I took Rosie in for her regular shot, and the substitute vet (Dr. Tran was out again) noticed a lump on Rosie's left hip, which was quite large. A biopsy determined that Rosie had cancer. Dr. Tran saw Rosie at her next visit, and did not seem to know what to do. She talked about "de-bulking" the lump with surgery. A rotating surgical specialist that comes to Heritage on a regular basis saw Rosie and said that the tumor was inoperable and that palliative radiation treatments would extend Rosie's life, but that she would not survive the cancer. Rosie was having a lot of pain, could not use her left rear leg and was losing control over her bladder and bowels, all after just a few weeks after the biopsy. So she was put to sleep. Dr. Tran is great at weighing, taking temperature, and drawing blood. Lots of sweet talk. But when you really need expert care, she really falls short. DO NOT take your dog here if you love them like I loved Rosie. In my opinion, the cancer should have been caught much sooner than it was. I will never be the same. read more

I tried to book my dog for the first appointment. The girl at the reception did not want to understand my question and sent me to wait in line for 6 minutes. I called back, and when she heard my voice, she said OMG. every time I spoke, she did not want to understand what I had and that I needed help. Employees should make the company better. Don't scare away customers. There remains a very bad association with your clinic. read more

Our daughter recommended Dr. Tran when we moved to the area 3 years ago and we couldn't be happier with the care our 10 year old 'puppy' has received. All we have to do is say Dr. Tran's name and Patches runs to the door and starts turning around in circles in anticipation of seeing her friends at Heritage Animal Hospital and especially Dr. Tran. Yes, there may be times when you may have to wait a while to be seen, as was mentioned in another person's review, but it's no different than any other veterinarian's office that we've gone to. I think that's kind of the norm for any doctor because you never know what the patient's need before you was or is or what emergency has come up. The staff has always come in to let me know if Dr. Tran is running late or if there is an emergency; at those times of emergency they have offered me the option to leave Patches until Dr. Tran can see her in case I have something else I need to do. When I've taken them up on their offer, Dr. Tran or a staff member calls to let me know she's ready to be picked up and tells me what they did or what needs to be done. We've never felt like we're being rushed in and out in order to get more patients in the door instead we've felt that Patches has been given the very best care and concern is given for her best health at every visit. Dr. Tran and her staff are amazing and we will be taking Patches and any other 4-legged family member we adopt to her for life!! read more

While Mark C.'s review is very good, he was actually reviewing Paws at Play, which is in the same building as Heritage Animal Hospital, but they're two totally separate entities - they just share the same reception staff. I LOVE Heritage Animal Hospital! Dr. Tran is amazing and so sweet and great with both the pets AND the people. I brought my cat, Gracie, in for her annual shots and a check up. Upon Dr. Tran's inspection of Gracie's teeth she found some tender spots, which turned out to be little kitty cavities which were causing her body to consume the teeth. I probably had the look of "I'm a bad mother" on my face letting my cat suffer so long, so she graciously reassured me that it wasn't anything I could have seen on my own. Since we'd already discussed how my cat likes to pee in inappropriate places she suggested that maybe Gracie was acting out because she was hurting and not to get my hopes up that it'd fix my problem, but after the tooth was pulled and a cleaning she might stop. Naturally I was excited I might not have to clean up pee off the floor, so I called and scheduled Gracie for a dental a few days later. I would like all of you to knock on wood, but since her cleaning and tooth extraction she has not peed inappropriately. Dr. Tran, you are my hero! I'm a new guy to town. I moved here last week. Heritage Animal Hospital was my first North Carolina experience. Luckily they made me proud since they were dealing with precious cargo... my kitty cat. I needed a place to board her for about ten days. I was freaking out because she has never been away from me that long and I knew she'd be freaking out. Heritage (the animal boarding part is called "Paws At Play") did as good a job as I could have expected. It's hard to find a place to board cats, let alone one you feel you can trust. The price was right ($16/day). I had to make sure her immunizations were up-to-date and she was treated with flea medication. They fed her the food I supplied, although they will supply it to you at an additional cost. They also gave her a nail trim and applied claw caps I provided for an additional $15. The kennels are set up nicely against a large plate window on one side so the cats can look outside. The litter box is in a separate section from the sleeping area and the food bowls are on a shelf above the sleeping section so the cats have some variety in their environment. They let me bring her bed and toys to make her feel more at home. The staff was friendly and seemed to be concerned with the well being of all the animals. They let me sit with the cat in the kennel area while I filled out paper work. When I called for updates during the week they took time to explain how she was adjusting and eating. I've been told their veterinary prices are on the high side but I didn't seek those services. For boarding I will be back. read more

The staff and doctors at Heritage Animal Hospital are phenomenal. Dr Batts treated my Westie Roxy for a lump under her jaw and my 8 year old is like a new happy and playful healthy puppy, thanks to her treatment. Dr Tran spayed my golden retriever Bella so well, that the sutures hadrdly show 3 weeks later. My puppy's recovery was so quick and their care so wonderful. I definitely recommend them to anyone who loves their pet. read more

While Dr. Tran is a great Vet, I spend way too much time sitting in a waiting room waiting to see her for 10 minutes. If they would schedule appointments a little more spread apart or not schedule them when they know they have surgeries or dentals in the back that need done that would be much better. By doing this it makes me feel like they only care about how many people they can get in in a day and definitely like they don't value my time. Like I said, I really like Dr. Tran as a vet but I've experienced this too many times. My pups are older and it wouldn't be in their best interest to switch vets now but for my other animals and future ones I sadly will be going elsewhere because of this issue. :-/ read more

I have been taking my kitty to Dr. Tran since I got her in 2009. She is a caring, wonderful Dr., and I strongly recommend her. She is concerned over your pets health, and her staff is as well. I am always greeted with a smile and hello. They are always happy to see her and are a pleasure to deal with. They will go the extra mile for you to make your pet and you feel comfortable. Dr Tran and her staff are very knowledgable and are open to any questions you may have. I have never had to wait around long to have my pet seen, they are very prompt if you have a concern. Dr. Tran was our dog's Vet for the past 5 years - we met her when she was associated with Paws @ Play, then followed her to her own practice at Heritage Animal Hospital. Our dog had many different ailments pop up over those years and each time Dr. Tran was able to guide us to the right diagnosis, even if it took a few different paths to get there! Her vast knowledge immediately gave us the sense of security we needed, but her loving approach to our family and of course our beloved pet, set her apart from just about every Vet we have encountered. If you are searching for a Vet, please stop looking and call Dr. Tran, you will not be sorry!! If you have noticed that I have been using past tense terms, it's because on October 21, 2013, we had the very sad task of asking Dr. Tran to let our dog win his 3 year battle with cancer by leaving this earth on his terms! Our family has never been through this experience before, but I have to tell you that no one was sadder or more compassionate than Dr. Tran and her staff at the thought of having to say goodbye to Austin. We worked together as a team for the past 3 years to do whatever we could to not only prolong his life, but to give it the highest quality possible. Dr. Tran has been seeing my dogs since she and her core staff were at the old facility (Paws at Play) until ownership changed and we followed her to her own practice. Dr. Tran and her excellent staff have taken wonderful care of my boys for many years and we trust them to make the right decisions. Also, everyone is so wonderfully sweet and kind, accomodating and helpful there. I cannot say enough great things about them. Also they have a fantastic groomer, Jessie, who does a great job in case you need a grooming in addition to vet services. I highly recommend Heritage Animal Hospital and even though we moved over 30 miles away, we are happy with them so we haven't tried any closer vets. read more

This is for Heritage Animal Hospital, 3415 Rogers Rd, Wake Forest NC. On Dec 31, 2014, our recent rescue, Jessie was suffering horribly and I started making calls to vets for an immediate visit. Jessie was to the point where she could not wait through the New Years Day and I knew that ultimately, she was going to be at the end of her life. Heritage was able to accommodate me within a hour of the call. We all met for a consult in the back room, where the Dr Tran and staff were able to offer all possible comfort and NO judgement. I cried like a baby this day. 2nd visit came a week later, when I went to pick up Jessie ashes which came with ceramic paw print and acknowledgement. Upon receipt, I cried like a baby again. This time again, no judgement and only comfort from staff. Today Jan 9, I got a card in snail mail from Heritage Animal. It was a card where staff has actually hand written words of comfort. Thank you Kristina, Erica, Janine, Judy, Lynn, Chris and Dr Tran. You touched me again. As they say, third time is a charm. You guys are awesome. read more
