Grange just opened the last week of June for sweet cherry u-pick. I went at 9 am on a Friday when they opened and picked almost 4 pounds in 30 minutes. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They'll give you however many buckets you want (each bucket holds about 5 pounds) and direct you to the picking area. I had fun trying each of the three varieties they had available: cavalier, black pearl, and white gold. They post on social media when each variety is ready to pick. Sour cherries usually come a bit later in July, but I prefer having lots of sweet cherries to eat. As of June 2025, U-pick cherries are $2.90 per pound. You can also buy pre-picked cherries, as well as other items at their farm stand. They take cash and credit cards. The parking area is a bit small, but I've always just gotten there early so I'm not sure if they have an overflow parking area anywhere. I'm looking forward to hopefully coming for blueberry season next!

We ended up spending nearly three hours bopping our way between activities and snacking. We enjoyed cider, a variety of donuts (including apple cider and pumpkin with cream cheese icing), a big ole bag of "seconds" apples that were in great condition, paid for the four wheeler/train ride through the peaches and much more. The kids especially loved the goats, slide, tractor ride through the property and corn "Sand box". Bathrooms and snack stands were plentiful and clean throughout the front portion of the farm. The staff was all very engaged and friendly as well. I loved that this spot didn't feel cheesy or over commercialized like some orchards can become. It was truly perfect. Can't recommend it enough.

While they have someone guiding you most of the time, people visiting are not always the most mindful and don't let you out to give up your spot. There is only one entrance/exit for cars, so I think they need to be a little bit more upfront with the flow of traffic and constantly have someone guiding everyone to ensure that parking isn't backed up. There are pumpkins, tracker rides, a little parade car for kids (and adults can fit too) and a play area for the kids. I think it's the perfect place to grab donuts, cider, pick some apples and grab your pumpkin. Just be warned that some areas may be more hectic than others, but that's what you get with a sunny October weekend!

And it was fine! Better than fine because the blueberries were so good! I had no complaints. But now they've leveled up. Now it's not just good blueberries but good ambiance as well! They've converted another smaller building next to it as a storefront and it's chock full of blueberry based goodies like jams, jellies, baked goods, dips, mustards, beverages, etc. Way more to choose from! They also sell ice cream and added a play structure to help entertain the kiddos that get a little bored of picking (smart). The day of our visit it was around 100 degrees and humid so I was not up for picking myself. Instead I arrived ready to buy a box of pre-picked fruit in bulk like I had in the past. I walked into the cute new storefront, scanned the shelves, and panicked. There were no boxed berries to be seen! Was this no longer a thing?? U-pick only?? Why God why!? No need to panic, the really lovely woman at the counter explained to me. They just ran out because nobody wanted to pick in the heat (fair) and they had another load of blewbs (just processed and boxed) enroute and arriving at any moment, she just wasn't sure when exactly. Our time in town was limited so we decided we'd come back instead of waiting. She assured me there would be plenty available. And she was right! A couple of hours later we came back to find the coolers absolutely stocked full of 5lb boxes. I was fielding requests from the family back home to bring them some so in the end I bought 20 pounds worth. I also added a blueberry lemon coffee cake for good measure. Great visit! Wonderful changes! Lovely personnelle! And most importantly, the blueberries are still amazing. Next time I just hope it's cooler so I can get an ice cream cone that wasn't going to liquify the moment I stepped outside.

It's not summer in Michigan until you've picked ten pounds of strawberries. I love going to Krupp Farms as they are the cheapest I've found locally--in 2019, $1.85 per pound for u-pick. They're also super friendly and guide you through the process if you've never been. We've been having tons of rain and the farm was a bit wet, so there was someone guiding people where to park based on the AWD status of your vehicle. This was super helpful as I've definitely witnessed people getting stuck in mud before, not fun. After I parked, I followed the crowds and was instructed to grab a cardboard tray and holder, then I was directed to another employee at the end of a row. She showed me where to start picking and gave me a flag to stick in the row when I was done to show where I left off. It's a good system so that everyone is able to get the most ripe strawberries! Speaking of ripe, the strawberries I picked were completely red throughout; they don't even have the white hull that most strawberries have. Amazingly sweet and juicy! I picked ten pounds in about an hour, then went to pay. They weigh your container and accept cash, debit cards, and checks (no credit cards). The women running the card machine reader were super friendly and fun to chat with as they waited for it to connect. The container they give you to hold your berries while you're picking is yours to take home and didn't cost extra; other farms I've looked at charge extra for containers. The farm also has a petting zoo, playground, and an ice cream shop, which makes it a great destination for people with kids. Be sure to watch their Facebook or website for updates each day for picking status; it changes day to day based on how the berries are ripening. You can also get asparagus, rhubarb, and raspberries!

This was our first time here - but it will NOT be our last. I loved everything from the moment we set foot on the property. It is genuinely rustic, not artificially so. Everyone we encountered that works here was friendly and seemed to like their jobs! We didn't know before we got here but it is Blueberry Festival this weekend and there were blueberry themed drinks and food. They had free samples of blueberry soda, blueberry lemonade, blueberry jam and blueberry buckle and fresh blueberries! We tied all of it and it was all delicious! The lemonade was one of my favorites. We wandered the store for a bit and I think I'll end up taking one of everything I saw. I think I said "oh! I want that!" to AT LEAST 15 things. We had the 2 blueberry special drinks - blueberry lemonade mimosa and the blueberry frosé, we really enjoyed both. To eat we shared the BTB - which was another blueberry special. Brie, turkey and fresh blueberries on sourdough. I really liked it! I wish the blueberries had either been jam or some other sort of spread/compote instead of the whole blueberries. They kept rolling out of the sandwich haha. But the flavor combination was wonderful. The turkey and the sourdough were both grilled, which I made me real happy. Oh! The sandwich came with kettle chips that were the best kettle chips I've ever had - Which reminds me I was going to grab a bag to go and I totally forgot! We also had the Farmer's Daughter pizza which was awesome. Crispy crust on the bottom, but fluffy and light on top. Just the right amount of sauce and the toppings were great. We had the Oreo shake as well, also tasty! It melted quick! It was a pretty toasty day without much breeze. We ordered some donuts and a cinnamon roll to go, I'll have to review those later when we eat them - I'm too full right now! They have a pickle fest coming up next weekend and I want to go back! From a petting zoo to a pumpkin patch, Fruit Ridge Hayrides has fun activities for guests of every age. We picked apples, pet some farm animals, and went on one of their titular hayrides pulled by a team of trained horses. The trail took us through a small patch of woods, and all the Fall colors were on full display. They also have a corn maze, but if the ground is wet, we highly recommend wearing some boots in case you get muddy. We'll definitely be coming back next year!
