Arrived on time and was greeted by Joe, who seemed completely overwhelmed and not with a great attititude. I explained to him how I wanted my puppy groomed (which was going to be way less work/time for him) but he negative about my suggestion and didnt seem to be focused on me or my dogs anyway. I asked him if he was "all alone," as I was nervous about leaving my dogs with him and he stated, "yeah, apparently they think I'm Hercules and can do everything around here by myself." YIKES!!
Not a good way to instill confidence in your customers and then I was really sketchy about leaving my dogs with him at all, but I did and hoped for the best.
He called me a short time after and asked me to clarify how I wanted my puppy groomed....even though I was very specific while I was standing in front of him 45 minutes earlier. He then called me back 30 minutes later to tell me my "cat was ready" ...I dont have a cat and he realized he'd called the wrong number, sheeeesh, get it together Joe!
My dogs looked okay when I picked them up (untraumatized), but not worth $100 (less tip) ...and he was sure to tell me when he called again to tell me my dogs were done, that he planned to close early (at 3pm) that day and I need to be there ASAP before 4pm. It's too bad he was running the store that day or I would have likely switched to this Heritage location instead of my groomer in Parker. I'm guessing he just needs some serious customer service coaching. Joe- smile, be positive, be friendly, don't complain, your problems should never be your customers' problems....just the basics.
People (like me) may not feel comfortable leaving their precious pets with someone who is negative and less than enthusiastic to be hands-on with my sweet dogs for a few hours. read more
