Apparently he was a dollar short so cashier told him he could not use his coupon. Husband picked up a candy bar. Nope. Candy bar was on sale. Husband picked up a different candy bar. Nope. Cashier found another item in his cart that was on sale. So, fine print must be that you cannot have one item in your cart that is on sale and use the coupon. Okay, rules are rules I guess, but cashier was not interested in helping with the coupon use at all. Why mail out these coupons? Why not help the customer? I buy most of my perennial and annuals at Ledgeview - they have super-high quality stock and the folks there are very friendly and always helpful. They also grow some funky stuff (my favorite was Bells of Ireland this year) - nothing like you would find anywhere else around here. Prices - very reasonable - $3 for a six pack of veggies. Ledgeview is a little off the beaten path in Loudon, NH, but it is SO WORTH IT if you want quality plant material at a good price. Check 'em out!
