Amazing staff! Thank you Lauren for making our dining experience lovely. Attentive and friendly. This has been our 2nd time back within a week. We love Taco Tuesday! The rice balls were delicious. Guacamole and chips were good but there was a lot of lime juice added to the guacamole. The rice and beans are a favorite but a bit too salty. Had that bloated feeling due to salt content. Overall Hermanas is a gem in Lindenhurst!

Absolutely love Hermanas Kitchen. Some of the best cocktails and food in Lindenhurst. I love sitting by the bar ordering a destiny's child espresso martini (they do a crème brûlée on top) best espresso martini I have ever had . The also make an outstanding old fashioned. Ok on to the food. The Tuna nachos outstanding! Truffle mushroom empanadas also tops. I usually get the soft tacos either cauliflower or chicken. This place is a sleeper or maybe not since always crowded. My new fave

Great little place for Mexican in Lindy. Has parking in front and on the side, and the inside is cute and nicely decorated, but also a bit narrow and dark. Service was not the quickest, but friendly. The chips and salsa and guac was delicious, and I matched two tacos - pernil and fish. We did a bunch of apps that I didn't photograph, but they were really good - pupusas, truffle empanada, potatoes. Worth checking out!

1000% percent. I don't know how I had never posted a review before or maybe I have but I absolutely love this place. The food is tasty, services is amazing ( love the staff ) and the occasional entertainment is so much fun. ( Bingo night ). There was a lot of love put into making this place feel like hanging out at your best friends kitchen.

Came here on a Thursday for an impromptu date night and had no issue getting a table for two. A lot of the other places on wellwood usually have all kinds of events going on Thursdays, but we wanted something a bit more lowkey and Hermanas delivered the vibe we wanted. Quaint place, very homey and mellow feeling and music kept at the perfect volume. Staff was also super friendly and attentive, made the whole experience feel relaxed. Starting with drinks we got a classic margarita and the fancy fashioned. Margarita was on the strong side, but that is no complaint coming from me! The fancy fashioned was a very refreshing and interesting take on a classic old fashioned, dare I say even a favorite?! I just might dare and I've had quite a selection of old fashioneds in my travels. For food we decided just to split a few apps. We got the rice balls, the pupusas and an order of chips and guac. Guac was fresh and chips perfectly crunchy, plus they even refilled our chips when we got low free of charge, which was a nice and unexpected gesture. The pupusas were delicious and the sauce that it comes with is worth putting on everything (and I may or may not have done so). The real favorite though were the rice balls, who would have thought and Italian-Mexican fusion could blend together to perfectly! But it absolutely hit. My only gripe is that it is a bit pricey for the amount you get, but they at least make up for that with the great quality. Being right on wellwood, parking can be a little tough but you can try and park along the street right in front. But I would recommend turning down one of the side streets and using the municipal lots nearby to prevent any headache.

Probably the nicest date night we've had in such a long time. We've heard such great things about this restaurant and so glad we finally decided to check it out. Most welcoming staff, cutest setup and extremely delicious food. It's small and cozy so I do recommend a reservation but they kept us updated when seating would open and got us started with drinks and apps then found a spot for us at the bar. My mojito was perfectly made and I even ordered a second one which I never do. Their menu is super eclectic and had so many choices. We started off chips and salsa and elote. Best elote ever. Then had the scallops, shrimp tacos, cauliflower taco, and beef taco. So many more things we wanted to try but it will have to wait till next time. Can't wait to go back!!

Me and my girlfriends went to Hermanas for a girls night dinner Saturday and had the best time! I highly suggest making a reservation as the location is small and intimate, but tables are nicely spaced out (I never felt cramped or claustrophobic, the layout was very comfortable). We arrived a bit early and were offered menus to order cocktails while we waited for our table to be ready. It was so sweet, we didn't even need to go up to the bar to order, one of the waitresses took our orders and brought our drinks to where we were standing (my personal suggestion: the purple drink - it smells like a yoga studio, the lavender is so relaxing and tasty) Our waitress was awesome - she was super attentive, friendly, warm, funny and on top of refilling our chips, drinks, and keeping our table of tapas clean and organized. The two hours we were there flew by. You have to get chips and salsa to start, the wings were also delicious, and I recommend getting both types of empanadas. The tacos (avocado and chicken) were great too. I would recommend more but we were honestly too stuffed to try anything else. I'm already looking forward to going back, even just for cocktails, the bar was so cute - would love to sit there after a long day/week and enjoy the nice staff/menu while winding down and kicking off the weekend.

Great decor, soft lighting, delicious food that gave you that homemade feel. The service was excellent with a very kind staff. We'll be back.

You can risk parking on the main road, but there are parking lots nearby that are much more convenient. The speakeasy style vibe is very cool and the open bar/kitchen is fun to watch the guys behind it work their magic. Staff were friendly and very helpful, but my one qualm was that our server opted to try and just remember our order by heart rather than writing it down, everything came out right, but he did have to confirm with us that he had the order right. Starting with cocktails, which I think is where this place really shines, I got the pistachio martini and their signature old fashioned. On top of just how pretty the drinks are, they match it with the quality. The old fashioned is one of the better ones I've had and was my favorite of the two, but I'm not sure you can go wrong with any choice on their list! Then for food, we started with the blackened scallops and the pork belly empanadas. Both were tasty but the empanadas were my personal favorite of the two. The scallops felt a little over seasoned, but obviously not to the point of being inedible. For mains, I got the lamb meatballs, and I tried a bit of my girlfriend's steak sandwich. The meatballs and sauce were just as good as any Italian place I've been to and perfect serving size. The steak sandwich though was served on THE softest ciabatta I've ever tasted but still held together well and made for an excellent, albeit huge, sandwich. I think she beat me out by just a hair on this one. I had really wanted to get their grilled cheese and tomato soup, but they had just run out, but I think they were just coming up with an elaborate ruse to get me to come back! Well, it's working, because I will absolutely comeback for more cocktails and that grilled cheese! We sat at the very last table in the restaurant, and this raises my only other concern, when the kitchen doors would swing open, you would get a quick smell of that garbage kind of smell which was a little off putting, but it wasn't constant enough where we were bothered to be asked to move our table, but food for thought. Surfing up just a few small things could easily have this place up to 5 stars from 4.

Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the food takes far longer than expected. Takeout orders are routinely 15 minutes or more past the quoted pickup time, which is frustrating when you're planning your day around their estimate. Service has also been inconsistent. The waitstaff often seems disorganized, and communication regarding delays is lacking. I understand restaurants get busy, but after multiple visits, the same problems keep occurring. The food is decent, but not enough to make up for the long waits and repeated service issues. After giving this restaurant several opportunities, I don't see myself return

We were greeted by our waitress & seated immediately. Our waitress was quite attentive. She was a pleasure to have around, I forget her name but she's a petite woman with long black hair. There were only two other tables occupied at that time and a few ppl at the bar. First impression, a nice cozy restaurant full of bold colorful decor, nice sized bar, maybe 5-6 sections in total. Drinks: the passion fruit margarita was amazing! I love that they used fresh fruit in the drink. My father enjoyed a coconut drink and sister had a spicy margarita. All delicious My nephews did not enjoy the lemonade (not sweet) or sweet tea (also not sweet). Also, there is only one choice for the kids' menu so we ordered chicken fingers and fries for my 5 y/o nephew. FYI per the waitress every dish is cooked to order so be prepared to wait Appetizers: I wanted the cod fish fritters but was informed they were no longer available and will be removed from the menu. We ordered the trio of empanadas which consisted of 1 cheese, 1 chicken, & 1 beef. My hungry teenager devoured the meat ones and I split the cheese one with my nephew. All tasty, no complaints. Dinner: I ordered the passion fruit (wild caught) salmon served over shredded collard greens & yucca mash (small portion but full of flavor sorry forgot to take photo). Every one else ordered a beef meal and were pleased. FYI: gratuity was included on the bill, she deserved every $$. The owners did not come over to greet us but the waitress did an amazing job checking on us non stop and making sure drinks were refilled and plates were removed in a timely manner.
