Our waiter I believe his name was Anthony had the best personality. The food came out quick and hot, appropriate portions. Either the owner or manager came to the table to check in on us after my nephew spilled his drink. You get a family vibe here which will bring me back. Recently had a five star meal at Pino ! Owner suggested menu for us, eggplant caponata followed by vodka martini pork chop and short rib bolognese rigatoni. The eggplant was the best I ever had anywhere with beautiful large croutons for dipping. The pork chop was flattened breaded and fried with hot cherry peppers in a garlic sauce. Fantastic ! Date night selection, maybe the wrong night to try them out since it was also the same day as the Lindenhurst St. Patrick parade. Not the type of crowd I would have thought for a wine bar. I enjoyed my dish (chicken pino) even though there was too many unevenly cut onions. My husband didn't care for his dish much, said the meat was too tough (braised short ribs). I ordered an espresso martini and felt like I overpaid for what I got because it was not served in the traditional martini style. Had high expectations for this place especially since I convinced my husband to go here instead of his first choice. We came to Pino Wine Bar & Bistro last night after hearing some buzz, and it completely surpassed our expectations. This place is a true gem in Lindenhurst that blends relaxed dining and lounge scene. Lets start with the food! My husband admitted he thought the focus would be more on the drinks, as they have an impressive cocktail menu and wine list, but the kitchen is solid. The menu is Italian-inspired, but there is a bit of everything and something for everyone. Not only is the food delicious, but the portions are generous and I felt the quality you get for what you pay is very reasonable. We began with the French onion soup--deep, rich, and perfectly cheesy--and the cappellini cakes, which were crispy and savory. For mains, the Short Rib was flavorful and tender, while my husband's Fra Diavolo had just the right kick and was packed with fresh seafood. For dessert, we shared the crème brulée cheesecake, which was very tasty and devoured. However, I was expecting a burnt caramelized sugar on top and this was simply a drizzle of caramel. My Ferrero Rocher Martini def made up for it though! It was a decadent dessert in a glass, which was the perfect ending to our meal. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, and the owner, Anthony, even stopped by our table. His genuine care for our experience really added a personal, welcoming touch that you don't find everywhere. You can tell he makes everyone feel like family! The atmosphere evolved perfectly throughout the night. We enjoyed a relaxed dinner while a DJ started around 9 PM (they have on Fri and Sat night), playing at a perfect background volume that let us converse easily. By 10:30 PM, the energy transitioned into an inviting lounge as more people arrived. It was nice to see the vibe as the space became more alive. Me and my family just moved to the area and was looking for a nice place to have dinner and stumbled across this wonderful restaurant in the middle of town they had live music that was wonderful!! The food and drinks were absolutely amazing Anthony (the owner) seems very passionate and is always there.The server we had was amazing his name was Eddie he was super friendly and always checking up on us and kept the kids entertained he didn't treat us like customers he treated us like old friends/ family which was a great feeling for just moving to the area. Went last night for the first time for dinner and it was great! The charcuterie board was amazing, not only the size of the portions but the quality of the food! The thai calamari was delicious, cooked perfect and only rings. The wine list is extensive with great variety of choices. The owner came over to talk to us and make sure we enjoyed our dinner. Also had live music which was a plus. These are the same owners as Spasso Pizzeria on Hoffmann Ave in Lindenhurst which is also one of my go to places for the past 30 years so give them a try, same super fresh quality food, great pizza and huge portions on the dinners! read more

We wanted to stop in for a quick appetizer and drink. Service was impeccable. They are clearly a team which I think is important in running a business. Drinks were made perfect. I was even offered to try the wine before I ordered a glass. What a great wine list. And the food omg amazing. Im so glad we have a restaurant that we can goto in our back yard that is in comparison to a New York City wine bar. The owner even came to our table to say hello. As the show "Bar Rescue " says. Went tonight to see live music from The Fenians but first time in Pino for my wife and myself. The great food and friendly service was a very welcome surprise! I had a pecan old fashioned which was delicious and my wife had some tropical cocktail both were well balanced and a great start. The meatballs with ricotta were beautifully presented and full of flavor with a near perfect tomato sauce. We then shared a pizza with fresh homemade mozzarella and one of the best vodka sauce I ever had....the crust was flavorful and crisp. We also hade the baked clams which were a like the best of stuffed baked clam amd clams casino at the same time. I highly recommend them and the portion was very generous. We left quite happy...but were so involved with enjoying the band that I forgot to take pics of the food lol. I also have to comment on how amazingly clean this restaurant (even the bathroom) was...I was super impressed! Finally, i have to give a shout out to Pete Weinberg for letting me know the food here is great. We will be back! read more

Been there serval times, definitely not a wine bar crowd. We try to get a table in front. When they have a DJ playing, save your conversation for outside of the bar, way too loud. I aways enjoyed the food, but one night I was hungry and order the shrimp dish which I had before, when it came, I ordered a side dish of spaghetti. It came about 20minutes later. It looked like a large bowl of soup, with a little amount of spaghetti swimming in it. (three other people also felt that way and laugh). When I got the bill, they charge me $17.00 for it and I ask to talk to the manager, I got the owner. I said $17 for a side of spaghetti; he gave me a big, long spill that his kitchen takes pride of their spaghetti and talked to me like I was an idiot. I could have told him I have experience in the restaurant business, and he probably buys his shrimp in Restaurant Depot, but didn't. I express my feeling on a Lindenhurst FB page the next day but refuse to identify the restaurant when ask. But reading his menu on Yelp, I realized he charge me full price for a meal. I've been coming here since they opened. The food here is always amazing and the atmosphere and ambiance is top tier! Great for a quick stop for a little snack or a dinner with friends. Drinks are always so good here as well. The service is always good and I never have a problem getting seated. The owner is always so welcoming. The blue cheese mussels are TO DAMN GOOD.! I didn't get it this time around but usually I get that along with the thunder sticks. But , last night I got the chicken pino which was hands down to good and flavorful. The skirt steak so cooked perfectly. I got it medium well and I thought I ate at a five star restaurant. I've never had skirt steak that good and flavor as well. The pino salad was just perfect as well and perfect for the spring time. And lastly , the Reeces martini was good as always. I recommend this place to everyone !! read more

This place is definitely what they advertise, not just a wine bar! The food is phenomenal the wine selection is so broad, the charcuterie boards are definitely bigger than any other wine bar I've been to. The staff is so sweet and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful date night. The ribs, the chicken parm, and the thunder sticks were definitely among our favorites. To top it all off they had an amazing live singer that just made the whole experience complete. 10/10 I'm definitely coming back! read more

I went here for some drinks for my birthday when the DJ was on, there was a man who wouldn't leave the girls alone and started recording and taking pictures of us dancing making us feel very uncomfortable. The bartender and management was aware and ended up kicking us all out and arguing with us instead of just taking care of the issue with the man recording the girls. there was just a bunch of weirdos and clearly the guy had to have been buddy buddy with the bartender and manager. We ended up going to Belfast after and having a better time anyway.. For them to side with a disgusting pig is absolutely out of control. Manage your place better. read more

Came in on a Friday for dinner to meet some friends sat at the bar and Gina took great care of me and made me a fantastic gimlet. I then moved over to a booth to have some apps and Hellena made some great recommendations the thunder sticks were delicious the house vodka sauce was very tasty and the ribs were fall off the bone and smoked surprised how good it was. We then finished with a pizza and a chicken vino all were amazing and super flavorful. Visited this new restaurant recently and enjoyed it! We didn't get any of the bigger food items on the menu but did get the large charcuterie board which was incredible. Had everything you'd want in a good board including great bread on the side! Loved it! The menu has something for everyone and a great selection of wine. The service was wonderful and the hostess was very welcoming. The biggest thing I'd stress to the manager/owner is please turn down the lights. When your sitting at the bar they are right in your eyes shining down. I've been to so many wine bars because the atmosphere of dark and city vibe is my favorite. After saying that we were going out to Pino's for months, we finally decided to go out tonight, a good decision, turns out they have plenty of deals on wine flights, appetizers, and drinks/cocktails for happy hour...we love to have early dinners so the place was pretty much all ours...our server/bartender did a great job parceling out the menu, cause there were so many options...he recommended the firecracker shrimp and the "thunder" sticks (mozzarella sticks)...both were absolutely delicious, seasoned and sauced perfectly...the mozzarella sticks are real fresh mozzarella w/ dipping vodka sauce, and the shrimp were perfectly cooked w/ the right amount of sauce and seasoning, on a bed of greens...we ordered a charcuterie plate w/ two cheeses (smoked provolone and gouda) and it arrived with a bunch of toasted breads, olives, grapes, pickled peppers and a bunch of other surprises...a perfect amount of food...and let me tell you about the drinks...my wife had a couple of glasses of the house chardonnay and delightful rainbow cookie martini (a perfect dessert drink) and I had the house cabernet (solid) and a couple of great spicy dirty martinis...the service was perfect, and extremely attentive...our server, who was also our bartender (I think his name was Jimmy) was incredible, truly top notch...the owner was very friendly, and the atmosphere of the entire restaurant was very inviting, even though we had arrived so early...Though I think Hermanas is still the best restaurant in Lindenhurst, Pinos gives it a run for its money in almost every respect...we were both pleasantly surprised...Highly recommend read more

A nice spot. Went on a Friday around 4pm, crowd started to roll in after 6ish. I think the prices were a bit high, $17+ for an espresso martini is nuts, even if you're paying with a card. Some of their wines are also pretty expensive per glass and it's average wine. The price of the glass is likely more than they're paying for the bottle. I frequent many bars in Lindy, Babylon and Bayshore. This place seemed to be on the higher priced end. Bartender was a little snotty at first, but then started to soften up. Majority of the staff was pretty stone faced, my advice is to cheer up! You can clearly tell who owns the place as those few people were pretty cheery. An older woman, an older man, another older man. All very nice. Well lit, clean, decor is nice, minimal. Bathrooms are clean. Food was 7.5/10, didn't like the wings. Everything else was pretty good! I'd go back again and would suggest giving it a shot if you haven't already. read more

I was very impressed with Pino's. The staff was amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. As soon as I sat down at the very packed bar I was immediately greeted by the well staffed bartender with a wine list which was very well done with a great assortment of wines but not so many that it was overwhelming. The couple next to me ordered The meatball appetizers and foot long mozzarella stick and said they were both great. I actually went off grid and ordered the chicken quesadilla which was incredible and I can definitely understand why it was on the menu since it paired so well with the Pinot that the bartender recommended.
