Great theater to see Broadway worthy shows without all the NYC traffic and high prices for parking…read moretoo! Saw the very last showing for the Annie musical for 2025 with my youngest son and it was such a great talented cast, with great scenic and live orchestra! The remodel of the space was done to keep the theater looking like it's always did just cleaner and more comfortable. Although I thought it was a little weird that they ran out of salty snacks at the bar for a full house performance, but regardless the bartenders were so friendly and warm! Will definitely be back to see more shows here!

Last night was my first time at The Argyle Theatre and we watched The Prince of Egypt. I've passed…read moreby for years and always wondered about the quality of their productions. So my husband surprised me with tickets because he knows how much I love Broadway shows. Some of the standouts of the night were- the singing and the use of the screens. The actors & vocalist did a great job, really no weak links, they were clear, they projected all the way up to the balcony, and they carried a strong stage presence. The stage was set up in a specific way for the entire show but the screens helped to enhance the scenes by projecting different images to suggest a change in setting, making it a lot more interesting to watch. Some songs resonated more than others, solely because of the weight of the message they possessed. Overall, very talented artists on Long Island that we enjoyed watching use their gifts to bring joy to others. It didn't have to be perfect to be of great substance. I will note that they loosely interpret biblical events throughout the show, especially toward the end, so a few scenes might make you go huh, but as artists, they truly made it their own. It's nice to offer Broadway-like shows close to home, and to support the arts within our communities.

Visit Date: May 25, 2022…read more I came here to see VHS perform. My boyfriend is a drummer with VHS and I catch as many of his gigs that I possibly can. My son was with his dad that night so we loaded up his drums in my car after I got out of work got to prohibition and set up for the show. The food we had was pretty good. We got a half pepperoni, half cheese half sized pizza and mozzarella sticks. The venue itself is a little bit smaller for live music. But when the weather is good they have a window with barrel tables and seats so you can sit outside to hear the musicians play. I was alternating between being outside and inside. My boyfriend's mom who I love came to the gig as well so I was spending time with her outside and time inside dancing and checking out the band. The bar is pretty big and they have one more area after you pass the bathrooms with some tables for hanging out. I liked the feel of prohibition besides the space being somewhat small and the food was good. I can't say anything about the alcohol although I'm guessing except for specialty cocktails it's probably the same as anywhere else. I've been sober for over 2 years now so if I'm at a bar it's for music and food.

Growing up in Long Island in the 1980s I had plenty of rock clubs to go to. Now, not so much…read more I see a lot of negative reviews here. A lot of them have nothing to do with what this place really is. ITS ROCK CLUB! If you're looking for a fine dining experience, this isn't the place! If you want to see a band with a nice stage, good sound system and decent drinks you should probably stop in. My wife and I were there last week to see FM . A fantastic Steely Dan cover band. This place has a very nice size stage plenty of seating and good bartenders. Yes, the bathrooms are pretty disgusting. I think they can probably work on that. However, growing up in the rock 'n' roll culture of the 80s, it does not offend me! Admittedly, we do not eat here. However, the drinks were well-made. Our server, Angelina was excellent. She was friendly and attentive. I'm pretty sure the guy at the door won't be asked to host the Oscars next year. But that's not what we need out of him! The crowd was friendly, and the place was packed. I'm just glad that now that I reached my 60s I can still go out to rock on. My wife and I will definitely be back in the future I suggest you check out their website. They have a wide range of bands. In my estimation this is probably the best rock club left on Long Island. If you're an old school rocker, who still feels like going out and having fun without the pretentious nonsense that goes along with a lot of the clubs these days Check it out!!

We were cold standing in the rain and were told they don't open until 4. Finally they let us in as a "favor" to us. Then we were told to wait at the bar because they weren't finished setting up. We ordered drinks at the bar, which we were told do not count towards the minimum purchase, and the bartenders claimed they didn't have cash and we had to use a credit card. Finally we are seated. Our server came to take our drink order, brought our drinks, but never took our food order. We placed it with another server that happened to walk by. Food was standard pub fare. Nothing exciting, some barely edible. Lastly, the show was a huge letdown. Not what we expected at all. A total money grab. We basically paid to watch other women who paid the extra $40, have simulated sex on stage. One of the ""dancers" was putting their hands down his pants. Definitely false advertising. This place was a one and done for me.

I admit it, I love the skin! We ordered a bucket of 8 pieces, and chose mac and cheese and cole slaw. We also ordered a side of jalapeno corn bread. There's really no good news here. The chicken was so dry inside, we couldn't eat it and thrw out all 8 pieces. The mac and cheese wasn't terrible, but I've certainly had better. It too was dry, and was basically one big piece of mac and cheese. The cole slaw was..... interesting. It was an odd pinkish color (red cabbage?) with really no sauce that I could find. My hunt for great fried chicken,,,, withnthe damned skin on..... continues.

I ordered the sweet potato bowl with brisket, tomatoes and onions. I had one drink, whiskey pig bourbon, was very good. The restaurant has a fun cocktail list and a lot of bourbons.
