I discussed my 9 year old doing a self swab for strep due to him being combative when other people swabbing him and the location being 30-45 minutes from my home. (Closest immediate care) they let me know it was fine and they've done them in the past. When my son and I arrived we were told they didn't do this and gas lit by the nursing staff. "We've never done this before" I've been to this establishment on 5-6 different occasions and they have allowed my son to self administer his swab. They are old my son it wasn't a big deal and scared him. This establishment isn't autism friendly and if you have any children on the spectrum I don't recommend bringing them here at all.

She addressed the issues quickly and answered with precision. I felt comfortable talking to her and I will return to this office when I have needs of that kind. I already see a few doctors in Woodstock. This is far closer and very pleasant. It's a clean, bright office and I would recommend them to anybody. I'm so glad insurance covered the medication. The Emergency Room prescribed nothing but kept writing me referrals to a specialist when what this really is comes from a medication reaction. It's sad that three months of an antifungal will necessitate the taking of three other medications to reduce the swollen lymph nodes, but I will be thrilled to not feel like I have been swimming all day. My ear has been giving me a hard time for awhile and it's been messing with my balance and hearing. I'm glad I went! Unfortunately I'm due for a pelvic, so I will definitely go this route. He did an xray of my mouth immediately and then laid out all my options for the tooth. I decided to have the tooth pulled and he finished the procedure in ten minutes. Absolutely no pain whatsoever. And he is very, very reasonable- price wise. My brother had a tooth pulled and he paid five times as much. Dr Barnes is a saint. He did a root canal on another tooth last year and he let me pay for it every month. He works with you. I have no dental insurance. I don't know what I'd do without him. Oh, yes I do. I'd be in pain and I'd end up at one of the high priced gyp joint dentists in the area.

I have had 2 appointments with Dr. Murphy. First appointment was strange. I was told he could…read moresqueeze me in within the hour, which was great since I was in extreme pain. When I arrived, I was basically told to go to a different clinic for an xray and that I wouldn't receive treatment until he viewed the xray. He never treated me that day. He did, however, talk for 30 minutes about how he woke up with his daughter in the middle of the night to see a specific recent meteor shower or something similar... this turned into another story about his personal history with ADHD and how he loved his experience with ancentry.com? He went on and on and on for 30 minutes, while I sat there in extreme pain? Little did I know that he would charge me for this appointment later? For what? To listen to him drone on and on about personal stories? I went to get my xray and saw him the next day. He treated me with a traditional alignment, after explaining to me what he saw on my xray... for 20 minutes! This man doesn't know how to stop talking. During the treatment (which took 5 minutes) and for the following additional 20 minutes, he told me stories about seeing a shooting star with his father-in-law while camping in Montana. In the middle of the story, he started yelling about seagulls he could see out his window on the roof across the street at Gateway. He then literally, yelled, "squirrel!" as a reference to a line in the Disney Up movie, referring to a person who is easily distracted. I was ready to go and wanted it to stop when I stood up and politely said I should get going, with my hand on the door knob... he says, "wait! don't you want to hear the end of my story about the shooting star in Montana?" Really? I think this man just likes to hear his own voice. I was finally released and was told, by the receptionist, that I owed for both appointments, even though the previous appointment only consisted of story telling. Never again! I don't doubt that he knows what he's doing, as a chiropractor. When I left, my back ache had improved by almost 70-80%! That IS why I went, after all. I just don't like the charge for a visit without any treatment and the constant talking while I'm sitting there in apparent pain. Very strange experience. Update: My mom was also a patient here. Although she used Medicare for payment and paid for 2 copays, she received another $200+ bill 8 months after the appointment. After calling and asking for an explanation, she was told this was a separate "initial patient fee" that everyone pays on their first appointment. She questioned why they didn't tell her this upfront so she could pay it 8 months previously or at least be prepared before her appointment. After a few phone discussions, the Dr., himself, told her not to worry about that fee and that he waive it completely. Now, 6 months later, she receives another bill for that $200+ initial patient fee. She called to remind them that the Dr. waived this fee. They are argumentative and do not believe what she is saying and insisting that she pay, so she did. This isn't right. The billing is unorganized and unclear and empty promises are made about waiving fees.

I FEAR the dentist. Borderline phobia-style…read more I entered Dr. Tayseer Ibrahim's office for the first time in a full panic after a front tooth had broken. I was delivered gut-wrenching news- two root canals were in my VERY near future. I also had a nasty infection. Dr. Ibrahim could sense my nervousness and put me at ease. She promised me a pain-free experience, and she delivered. I almost fell asleep during second root canal because I was so relaxed. I'm NOT exaggerating here, people. I now have a smile I'm proud of and just a few more preventative-maintenance appointments on my horizon. I had thought I was doomed to live the life of a slack-jawed yokel. I was even picking out banjos and developing a taste for wheat-stalks. Now I'm confident in my professional work environment. Her staff is top-notch as well. They've become friends and we swap pictures of our kids. Do yourself a favor. Give Dr. Ibrahim a chance. You won't be disappointed.

So years have gone by and I get a bill in the mail for over 200 dollars and they expect me to pay it despite their of attempts to EVER contact me. I have had the same phone number on file, all they had to do was call and I would have paid the bill. When I called to remedy the problem they gave zero apologies for their mistakes, and at this point I could not claim it on my dental insurance because a year had passed. I am so upset, they could have easily discounted the bill or made some accommodation but they did not. It is just bad business, I have three family members that need dental care and I had to take my business elsewhere because of this situation. They could have used service recovery to keep me and my family there but they chose to loose a perfectly good customer because they did not want to admit their mistakes. Wadsworth Dental in Beach Park is not the place to go unless you want surprise bills in the mail years later with no notification of the fact that you owe anything until it is to late.
