This is my first review of he hero burgers Aurora, Ontario location. This is the best Hero Burgers that I have been to. It's clean. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and the service was over the top. The food was prepared very nicely and looks like food that I really want to eat. I had the 8 ounce burger without a bun with smoked cheddar, an egg, mushrooms, and bacon. The staff also went out of their way to make sure that my food was safe for me to eat, and that there was no chance of me getting gluten, as I have celiac disease. Great place for people on gluten free diet.

Tried Hero Certified Seafood on skipthedishes and was so disappointed. This small salad, which was even smaller than my fork, costs $12.99! And the vegetables, like the leafy greens and tomatoes weren't even cut - the super big pieces were hard to eat. So not worth it... will not be ordering their seafood any time soon :(

The burgers are fresh and always taste amazing. Service is fast. I just wish the place was a bit more cleaner.

We had a table with my nieces and nephew, and they were very friendly, even with all of the kid noise. Ambiance: 5/5 Nice family-style restaurant, very homey and cozy, but clean and well maintained. Felt very comfortable! Food: 4/5 Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp - very nice, the flavour wasn't a typical Alfredo that tasted like it was from a jar. Definitely one of the better alfredo's I've had in the GTA!

Parking: Freeeeee Decor: It feels like a step above fast food which is funny because the menu makes you think they don't think this of themselves. The menu is that of a homie Italian place. But it definitely does not have that feel. Food: Italian. Pasta, salads, pizza. Foods good. I've been a few times and we come with groups of people sometimes and quality is good I really like starting with a salad and getting the gnocchi. Their pizzas are really good too. You could tell from the way the waiters talk with other guests that there are a lot of people that are regulars. I do have to say I've been here quite a few times and I've never had anything to complain about and no one's ever complained about the food when we've come in groups This is a good place to come with groups because there tends to be something for everybody. You can build a pizza or pasta dish. Oh that being said I'm not sure about gluten-free offerings. I didn't know they have salads. I'm not sure if there's gluten-free pasta I have not come with someone who's gluten free

They actually take painstaking care to label essentially everything as organic in the menu. It's actually almost comical. The food itself is quite good. The pasta tastes house made. The pizza dough also is house made but it does have crust reminiscent of frozen. The toppings do make up for this though. Service was on the slower side and it seemed the kitchen was in the weeds despite not being a packed house. Not sure if it's because of the ingredients but the prices are on the higher side, such as the sausage (essentially a short hotdog) with home fried for $16. Overall a good experience for the convenience of table service otherwise getting food from somewhere like Framboy and making it yourself would be a good equivalent. To be fair this is a 3.5/5 but half stars aren't possible.

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)
