Never been in a Habitat for humanity stores. Curious what they had. Maybe I'll find something maybe…read morenot. As I walked around. Everything is pretty organized. They have a little of everything, but mostly what I could see it was items for home improvements. Cabinets, counters, sinks, toilets, tubs, bed frames, paint cans, kitchen tables, entertainment stands. Loathed with doors, window, flooring, wood and tile. There's a lot in this store. Didn't se that big from the outside. But it's big inside and they pack a lot in. I wasn't coming here with any expectations. I just wanted to poke around and see what they weee about.

When I called in to the store to tell them, Rob cut me off and told me that the table never had missing parts, just missing screws, and they don't do refunds. I didn't want a refund, nor did I ask for one. Rob was oddly smug & disrespectful yet works in customer service. I let him laugh in my face before asking for corporate's number. Not a hint of attitude or sass on my part. I assume he was overacting because he knew he was wrong. And I guess today, I'm a Karen. Calling corporate now. For anyone who needs that number, it's 512-478-2165. Will not shop here again, just because of that interaction. Not because of the initial honest mistake.

I applied to adopt in July and got approved by the end of the month. Although I admit I was frustrated I was so happy when I found "Britches" (now named Penny), on the website. Within a week we were set up with a trial visit with her at our home. When we first met Penny, we were surprised at how friendly she was. Her bio stated that she was very bossy and might have an issue with children, but this was likely due to the severe ear and skin infection she had when she was surrendered. Penny is now a healthy and fun loving pug. She is kind to children and will voluntarily sit on any lap available. She is four years old but she is as playful as a puppy. She enjoys her squirrel toys, playing tug of war, and rolling in the grass. We are so grateful to PRA for giving us the chance to fall in love with Penny. Yes, the process takes forever and can be frustrating when all you want is a pug, but it is worth it. Also, understand that this nonprofit organization is made up of all volunteers. These people work hard and though it can be a taxing process, they are volunteering their time in order to get these fur babies a home. Once you are approved the process is so fast.

An absolute dreadful of a company, total waste of time and money! After an insane amount of fuss…read moreand interviews over several months, the staff and the company insulting and patronizing us about basic aspects they decided to refuse us. They went as far as saying that our 6yrs old son shouldn't have his toys around the house. We were led to believe that we are in the final stages and our "Next Interview" was to actually meet the dog. We actually never met any dog. I would not in million years recommend this company, stay away as they will do everything they can to waste your time and energy.
