    Tons of clothes and shoes

This location is famous for its very large selection of furniture. As a matter of fact, a quarter of the store is dedicated just to furniture. You'll find a better selection and higher quality items here than you will at the average Goodwill. If I had to say they were lacking in anything it would be in electronics, books and music. They also have some daily sales on certain days which can really save you a lot of money.

While I've never been into this store, I've donated a great deal of items to it. Today, I donated a China cabinet with glass and lights in it (a solid piece). What I appreciate about thier donation services is they make it simple for consumers to donate quality items and they picked them up if requested. The times I've scheduled a pick up, they have always been on time, brought the donation recipet and have been gracious.

Every time I come here... they have no one manning it or they seem unhappy to see you. Go to goodwill. They are normally manned.

There are some things the store does very well, and some areas that are clearly struggling. First, the space is much larger than the previous location. There is plenty of room for merchandise, and they seem to have many kind volunteers working there. The furniture and home goods section is organized fairly well. However, the shelves are extremely packed with merchandise, which may be related to the pricing. Many items feel overpriced for a community thrift store, which likely slows down how quickly things move off the shelves. The layout is also a bit confusing. It almost feels like two completely separate stores. Furniture and home goods are on one side, while clothing is in a different area. What makes it more unusual is that you cannot pay for clothing on the home goods side, or home goods on the clothing side. You also have to go outside to enter each section. It seems like this setup requires twice as many volunteers and makes the shopping experience less convenient. The pricing on the clothing side is actually very good, but the organization is quite poor. I found high-end men's shirts, such as Brooks Brothers, mixed in with women's clothing. There were several other similar examples of items being misplaced, which made browsing more difficult. I have visited multiple times before writing this review because I hoped that, after the expansion, the shopping experience would improve. Unfortunately, the store actually felt more organized in its old location than it does now.

That in itself told me that one hand knows what the other is doing, and it's obviously really organized. Second, when we went in the thrift store side, it smelled clean. On that side, they were super nice too, and my eBay purchase pick up was super smooth. Purchases that you make their go toward providing food for people who need services from the food pantry. Even the eBay purchases go toward that. I feel better about a purchase if something good comes out of it for somebody else too. That's important to me and my family. I highly recommend this essential part of the community!

Unlike that store, which has a bit of everything including books and clothes, this location only sells home decor. It's located in a residential home which makes for a very pleasant browsing experience. They have a pretty great selection of items. The prices vary (there are some more high-ticket antique objects here). Tuesdays are 10% off so if you're eyeing an expensive item, that's your day. I also noticed that they drop prices so if you're willing to take a risk and wait, keep checking. Restocked regularly. I came two weeks apart and saw a whole bunch of new interesting merchandise. For my fellow parents with small children: The other shop is large and has shopping carts where you can place your kids. This one does not as it's smaller and in a house. However, we were able to navigate just fine with my toddler inside a small umbrella stroller. I wore my baby in a carrier. The staff is very nice.

Calling this place a thrift store is misleading since the prices for everything are more in line with consignment store prices. Everything is well laid out and nicely displayed. Be gentle…read moreas I'm new at this whole review thing but seeing as how I have an opinion on EVERYTHING, I should be a natural. Moving on... I love thrift shopping when I can find the time. Since I stage homes for sell, I needed a few places to pick up some staging items on the cheap. My work keeps me mostly North so I decided to drop into the Storehouse Thrift store in Round Rock. When you walk in, it looks like a major dump, but you're instantly greeted by this super cool, friendly, red-headed man with a loud voice. Be warned that no pricing is marked so you have to ask said man for the prices. He just makes it up as he goes along. You don't even have to be dressed shabbily for him to give you a great deal either! So, you can go in there and fill an entire bag full of books (good, old, hard-backed books donated by libraries) for like $2! I use books when I stage so it's nice to get them so inexpensively. The last house I decorated, I filled the guy's shelves with self-help and Christian books and did it for only $2 bucks. If you knew this guy you'd think that was really funny (the self help and Christian books, not that I only spent two dollars). You can also buy fake greenery for almost nuthin'! I send clients there all of the time to buy those large, silk, ficus trees for $5-$10. On occasion, you can even find some neat knick-knacks! I love me some knick-knacks. I would have to say this has become one of my favorite thrift stores. I mean, I still frequent Goodwill, but at least I can go into the Storehouse and not leave feeling like I have contracted lung cancer due to all of the second-hand smoke oozing from the pores of the staff. Plus, they do really great things with the money and it is local!
