Now I feel silly that I didn't do this earlier. I went in for a consult that was very professional, and then went for my tooth removal. I opted for laughing gas instead of general anesthesia, so I was awake throughout the process. I was attached to monitors to track my oxygen, heart rate and blood pressure, given a blanket and made very comfortable. One week post op from wisdom teeth extractions and couldn't have asked for a better experience! I have severe anxiety when it comes to dental procedures due to past trauma, but Dr. Nordloff and team took excellent care to prepare me for the procedure so I'd be as relaxed as possible. relied mostly on the extra strong ibuprofen for pain management in recovery (minimal!). Swelling (as expected) and switching to soft foods was probably the only uncomfortable thing I experienced. From the reception staff, assistants and everyone involved I felt like I was in good hands. Everyone at Dr. Herrera's office is so kind and professional. I felt very well cared for during my implant procedure. I didn't want general anesthesia, so just had local and Dr. Herrera checked in with me constantly about whether the pain was tolerable. (It totally was.)
