I will not let my other child experience this type of dental negligence. Also, I learned that they do not have a dental hygienist to clean the kids teeth. They have assistants that brush their teeth, no scraping is done. How is this okay? Please, do yourself and your child a favor by finding another dentist, a parent should always be with their child.

I have a HMO and first off they referred me to an Dentist that only takes PPO. I had an abscess on both teethe and I'm in constant pain. So, the referred office lets me know that they only except PPO's and that I needed to go back to my main dentist to have them send me to an office that takes HMO's. I called Healthy Smiles and let them know that I needed to change ortho dentist to an HMO one. They told me okay, no problem. I set the apt with an HMO office that I have been to before and for sure know that they take my insurance. A month later and two days before my Ortho doctors office calls me saying they dont have the referral or the auth # to see me. So, I call my insurance to see if I could get it all changed around to the correct office. They stated I needed to go back into my main office to get a new referral. So, I did. three weeks later. I went in had my teethe reevaluated so, they could send my referral to the ortho doctor. They gave me a referral card. Which I took to the referral doctors office . Set my next apt for over a month. I think all is well. The day before my apt, I get a call from the ortho office that they still had not received my auth# to see me. I then decided I would call my dental insurance company to see what was going on. They told me that my Auth # was no longer valid and that I needed to go back to Healthy Smiles to get reevaluated for another auth#. Mind you this whole time I have an abscess and my two teethe hurts. Now, I'm pretty upset. So, I call Healthy Smiles and complain about all that happened. They had the nerve to tell me that my referral was sent to a totally different office all together. They gave me there number to this different office to call. Healthy Smiles also stated that it was my insurance who decides on where I go on referrals not them. I call this new office to have them check to see if they have my authorization referral. I got hung on. NOT GOING TO LIE. IM LIT right now. Its been months with this abscess. I don't recommend this dentist office at all. I will be switching to a new main dentist.

Their location in Watsonville made it more convenient for me since I live in this area. Ever since I came to the clinic, I have had many visits and work done. Most visits medi-cal took care of my payment, but some more serious issues like root canals and crowns had to be paid out of pocket. I have always had a great experience with their clinic. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The environment is very comforting, safe, and clean. They call me to remind me of my appointments a couple of days before, and if there is a cancelation from another patient, they will even try to get me in sooner. I just got my teeth cleaned today I thought I would write a good review for them since I have always been really happy for all that they do for me.

This woman is very unprofessional. She should not be treating children if she cannot tolerate children. Children are going to be scared and nervous and she just makes them more scared. Seeing these reviews on here are pretty unsettling. Maybe she only likes people of her own kind where she gets her positive reviews. I would not recommend this dentist for children as they could be traumatized.

"opportunity" to have different Root Canal's performed so I've been able to tell the difference between practicioners. Here's what makes this office great: - Dr. Cross takes his time to get everything right. This can occasionally result in a slight delay or minor overlap of appointments, but I strongly prefer this approach over a Doc that rushes through and misses something. - Dr. Cross (and the office in general) place a lot of care into cleanliness and disinfecting. If you want to geek out, check out Dr. Ross' youtube video link on his site where he talks about disinfection technology and advancement in that area. - The front-desk staff are very organized. For simple stuff like scheduling an appointment, they allow texting (nice!) - Costs are well explained and they support a wide range of insurance providers. - Dr. Cross' temporary fillings are legit. I had a vacation conflict and head cold which resulted in me postponing my follow-up office appointment by a couple extra weeks. Obviously it wasn't planned but I'm pleased to report that the temporary filling the Dr put in worked fine. Ultimately, I think this was a good experience. I recommend Dr. Cross to other's needing treatment.
