She treated my son for the first phase of his ortho treatment which was a little complex. Dr Leung has a conservative approach and doesn't just focus on the teeth. Instead, she considers the growth of the jaws and other factors. On top of her clinical excellence, she is super sweet and so gentle. Her assistants are also very kind. The one that helps my son often has conversations with him and makes him feel so comfortable (e.g. she remembered him adopting cats several months ago and was asking him about it.) The same is true with the front office ladies who are so kind, professional, and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Dr Leung and highly recommend them both as a mom and a dental professional.

The community here in Watsonville seems to understand it is an HMO and accept the associated short falls and remain polite and chill. Conversely, what makes the experience in the Santa Cruz Western Dental office terrible is that the community there tends toward self- entitlement and outrage especially regarding having to wait unexpectedly. I switched from another dentistry that seemed top notch but only did their own special in-house crowns which were both ridiculously expensive and broke on me 3 times. Better crowns, better work, and a small fraction of the cost here at Watsonville Western Dental. Just might require some grace.

Just because you are pregnant doesn't make you have the right to be rude to everyone. The older lady orthodontist that left was the only nice person at the facility. All staff talk shit in Spanish about the other staff that don't understand. Right in front of the patients. They cancel appointments all the time, very little availability, and none of them want to even work or be there but take it out on us patients.
