After being in a serious car accident (I have a 2018 Mercedes C300 soft top convertible) and was rear-ended by a huge 2001Dodge Dakota Tuesday night- I reached out to State Farm to help me get a rental. Unfortunately they cannot reach the driver of the vehicle- so this is all going under my insurance for now. After driving out of the Hertz rental lot the vehicle drove funny and made sounds in the rear. I was scared, so my fiancé drove it home (approx 4 miles) and I took his car to work. When he got home he noticed a completely flat tire in the back left side. After calling Hertz for help - they stated that it's my problem because I didn't get additional coverage (again - I shouldn't even be paying for any of this due to the accident not being my fault - but needing a car for work I didn't have a choice.) They close at 4pm so nothing could happen yesterday. I called roadside assistance today - was on hold for over an hour and got disconnected. Called Hertz in North Palm Beach again for help. They told me to bring the car in. I asked if they really wanted me to drive it on a completely flat tire? I didn't want to ruin their rim. They stated again this is my issue and I need to call roadside assistance. I am back on hold with roadside assistance - but there is no answer - been on hold again for almost an hour. I just really dont understand - they clearly gave me a vehicle with a bad tire - and now this is somehow my problem. After being in a serious accident and quite frankly scared to drive - driving a vehicle that was not properly inspected out of the parking lot of Hertz North palm Beach with a bad tire is unacceptable. Accidents happen and I understand maybe the person didn't catch it prior to me leaving - but he also put on my paperwork that the vehicle had 1936 miles - but in actuallity is has 19,360 miles. So clearly - the attention to detail in nowhere. I am extremely unhappy with this added convenience and am really surprised that a company like Hertz has turned into such a horrible company. I also reached out to State Farm for help and they unfortunately directed me back to Hertz for this matter. So now I am on hold again hoping for help. Take it from me - if you can avoid renting from Hertz North Palm Beach - avoid this company. HORRIBLE customer service and BAD damaged vehicles line their lot- some of them for sale- some of them for rent. Just stay AWAY! read more

This was probably the worst experience from a rental company in 15 years of traveling!!! The women Holly at the front desk was extremely rude and condescending!! When calling for a pickup I was placed on hold twice at 10minutes each time then the system disconnecting me for exceeding the time limit. Finally I called back a third time for the women to be completely annoyed and me sitting waiting for a ride for 35 minutes. I don't know if it's "Hertz" or just Holly that made this experience so god awful! She could have at least put a smile on her face or apologized for making me hold 3x. read more

I made a reservation through AAA but the discount they stated online was not delivered so I brought it up at the dealer, still they said they would work on it when I brough the car back. Next the car I rented was not available, I could get a smaller car (too small) or upgrade to a gas guzzler but more room so I went up. I looked briefly at the car and it looked fine and away I went. I came back a day early but the man there said the price was the price and I wanted to get home so I left. I never recieved the AAA discount or anything for my early return. The next day they called and said I damaged the car under the drivers door. Sure enough, I went back and there were some scrapes. I never hit anything, never even a bump - and you had to look to find this. I explained that when I returned I asked the guy if he wanted to look anything over and he said it looked fine, so at this point they want me to pay for the scrapes that I never saw and the dealer agreed that "everything looked fine." - I'll update with how it goes but very disappointed in Hertz. UPDATE: I was not charged with the issue and they apologized on the phone realizing someone else may have done it. If I had caved I would have paid for the repairs and they pressed me hard to. I also never mentioned that the oil light came in right away and it needed to be changed. read more

I have been renting cars at this location for 5 years now. I receive excellent service and clean cars. If I need a pickup they arrive on time. I highly recommend using this Hertz location. read more

This location was the best. They picked me up from the car dealership and I was into my rental car in just a few minutes. The car is nice and clean and no smoke smell! I like the no smoking in the cars now. I will definitely use this rental company again if needed read more

The place is fine, I got a rental after I was rear-ended and it was clean and ran fine. The people who work at this Hertz have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The woman who helped me both times was extremely rude, she walked away from the desk abruptly several times without telling me what she was doing or where she was going. She acted as if I was the biggest nuisance to her. I had to explain to her why my divorced parents are not on the same insurance policy (common sense). She switched the car I was going to get with some guy who was a Gold Member without asking or notifying me. Zero people skills, get a new job lady. Do not use this car rental. My son rented a car and returned it no problem. They signed him back in and then used the car to drive him to the dealership to get his car. Was called later and said there was damage to the car. He gave a statement that he did not damage the car, saw no damage when he returned it and was not told there was any problem when he returned the car. Hertz just sent a bill for the supposed damage directly to a collection agency. Will never use this business again and am going to complain to the corporate office. read more

Probably the worst customer service in the business. We rented a car and wanted to extend it our days. Our charge card was compromised on the first day of our vacation, so it would not let me update my credit card for the extended time. We left countless messages and talked to over seven Hertz representatives. Representative number 4 wrote the PBI office an email and told me that they would call me back. No call back. We left at least four messages for the PBI office, not one was returned. Representative number 5 said we could take our credit card to update our file to any Hertz office. We took the credit card to a local office and they said they couldn't help us. Today the representative said we have to go back to PBI to take care of it. How is that for customer service? So today, we are driving back to the airport. I've used Hertz for over 25 years and they are outsourcing their customer service to the vortex of hell. Never again. read more
