Did all my reservations through the app. When I touched down and left the terminal it was easy to find the shuttle to the rental car facility. After exiting the shuttle I exited and saw my name on the board that I could choose any vehicle from the presents circle section. Not much variety. I chose the Buick because they had several, and the first one had some trash left inside. The second one was good to go. After picking it and loading my bad I check out at the exit gate. That's where showed my ID and received a cop of my rental agreement. Drop off went smoothly as well. Mark said I would pay only for the fuel which I had used and the price was $3.93 per gallon. When I returned the car, I checked the average fuel being used and it was 24.?? mpg. I drove a total of 62 miles total over 3 days. I received a bill which said $62.49 for fuel, but they charged my car $66.55, not even the lower outrageous amount. At 62 miles, using 24.x mpg, I used less than 4 gallons of fuel. Using the $3.93 I was quoted, my fuel bill should have been $10.16 Instead I was charged an additional $52.33 I called the customer service number and the agent who answered my first call could not speak or understand English well enough to even answer the questions, "How many gallons of fuel was I charged?" She kept saying is was 3 dollar and 93 vents which is the cost per gallon NOT how many gallons. She told me she could only refund 1/2 the full amount I was charged. She proceeded tyo hang up on me and the survey I was provided had all the answers entered a unrecognizable. I called back and this time I was informed there are no managers, hat would require waiting for a call back. I followed through with this agent who told me I was charged for a full tank, as is their policy and again, I could only be refunded 1/2 of the total amount. I requested the refund which was $33.68. I will now dispute the entire charge with my card company and provide proof of the miles driven so that they can get the rest of the monies I am owed. I will also review Fox poorly wherever I can and will also report them to the BBB. You should check your receipts and the actual contract to see if they tell you the truth about the fuel policy.

I immediately called and spoke to a Cecilia, who promised to fix the paperwork at her end, and all would be taken care of. As an aside, the car was in terrible order upon my pickup. The windows and mirrors were so dirty that I had to clean every single window, inside and out. Also, the window washer fluid was so empty that not a drop would come out- a real danger when driving. I went to Walmart and with my own money purchased and added washing fluid. When I returned the car, I mentioned to a different agent than Cecilia he conversation we had had, and advised that the gas tank was over 50% as we had agreed. The agent seemed pre-occupied and uninterested, but didn't mention that there would be an issue. Two hours later, I received the "E-Invoice" which included a $86.04 charge for fuel!! I am furious at this point, so I return to the store the next day only to be told I need to speak to the owner at a phone number posted on the store glass. I called, and luckily, the owner was on his way to store. He promised to fix the issue, but has not- when contacted again, the owner of this location gave a story about his medical issues, etc. Total unprofessional behavior and response to a 20 + year customer. The other person was very upset- like me, she had been dropped off by a Lyft. The things is- there was no holiday, and it's not even season. Budget is next door to this place, a 2 minute walk across the parking lot. Having rented on Belvedere before, I knew this, but if you didn't know this, the situation could be very stressful. I booked a car on my phone while I walked over. I know the Budget office well- it is very large! I can't imagine having to turn people away for hours and deal with their anger and frustration, so I can't judge, and it might be against company policy to point out the not-sold-out car rental next door, but it would have helped all involved to mention the proximity of Budget.
