COMPLETELY WASTED MY TIME!!!! I called in before making my reservation through a partner. I asked about using a debit card and was told that as long as its through their partner, it's fine. I stated the partner name many times and was not told there are different levels 9f partners once. When I went in the guy was obviously unhappy to be there and took it put on me. He seemed disgusted to take my debit card and then refused to ck the partner program for the company I mentioned. Completely wasted my time and just a really bad attitude read more

This is an interesting car rental location. It's a bit dark, cold and "basement-y". I kind of felt bad for the employees who were all bundled up. I booked a car online and the first vehicle I was given was really dirty. I think someone had spilled cola in it and lucky me, it got on my beige coat and all over my hands. I took the keys back and got a different vehicle that was clean, thankfully. The second car was fine, however, I ran into trouble when I tried to return the car on Sunday. No one told me they were closed and I had to keep the car an extra day, or pay one-way rental fees for returning it to another location. The manager at this location was very nice and fixed this issue when I returned it on Monday. Overall, I think I'll stick with Enterprise going forward, though I do appreciate the guys at this location addressing my issues. read more

Have rented several times from this location as well as many others. I will say that I would not put this location above others in size or availability of cars you'd want but they sure are accommodating and understanding. What really makes this location stand out is Tawon. He is by far the reason I keep coming back and when I see him behind the desk I know that things will be sorted. He manages a lot of ambiguity each day and handles it super well. He doesn't have the resources of a high trafficked airport location but is able to still provide a level of service that anyone with a little flexibility and understanding could be completely satisfied with. Awful service at this location! When I came to rent my car the women was rude and unfriendly (her name started with a T). There was no hello, how are you, happy New Years (it was New Year's Eve). She seriously lacked customer service. Regardless of her lack of personality. She gaves keys to the car and said it was out back. There were at least 50+ cars that were identical and it was very cold outside. She never checked our car or offered us any assistance. Luckily a man who was cleaning cars outside overheard us while we were lost and tried to find the car and help us. It was clear he was trying to makeup for his coworker but at that point we just wanted to get out of there. Be careful renting here as they don't check and be prepared to fend for yourself. read more

I am not one to come on yelp and write bad reviews but I feel the need to this time. I rented a car from this company and honestly this has nothing to do with the location as much as the company itself. I had $200 held from my account until the car was returned. Because the return date was a Sunday I did not receive my refund till Monday, but Monday night when I checked my bank account I see a charge for $100 when my rental was only supposed to be $70. I call their billing department and they tell me the $30 hold will fall off once the vehicle is returned and processed. Why the heck do they need to hold $30. The car has been back on the premises for 2 days. The woman offered me no explanation other than that is just what we do. So Hertz, what you do is hold peoples money hostage? No thanks NEVER renting from them again. Oh and I rented off of an online site where I paid for Insurance for the vehicle the guy told me they don't except that coverage and I need to by additional coverage in order to really be covered......yeah ......super shady and not worth the money I supposedly saved, skip these guys and just go to enterprise. read more

Scheduled rental thru AAA for a day in Chicago. Everything was as promised and went well. Price is average for rental car.

I made a reservation a week ago, I was very specific with my needs and explained to Jeff that I needed to get a car by 7:30 am the latest, he was super sweet and helpful and told me that everything was set up but that I should call the night before to let em know I'm coming so that everything is ready to go. So I called today and a lady called Tia answers the phone she had absolutely no manners which I didn't care about it up until she proceeded to hang up the phone on me after saying they have enough cars? Yeah but that wasn't my question and she didn't even care to look up my reservation. After that I just called the hertz hotline and changed my pick up location. Really wish they had a customer service option so that I could have talked to someone directly about this issue instead of recurring to yelp. Long story short I don't recommend this location due to bad customer service, I won't be doing business with hertz anytime soon after this incident. read more

I reviewed this location about 2 years ago and somehow managed to put the wrong address. But that's another story. This location, right across Clark from Wrigley Field, had the same dead flies in the window the second time I was here. (Well, maybe another one or two had dropped dead by my second visit.) Grubby place. That was my last rental from this location. If you want to know how low can Hertz sink try renting a car here. Don't expect any favors or "little courtesies" - and no big ones either. Call to say you're running late and they tell you to pick up car within 1 hour from reservation time or they will rent it right out from under you. Rude people. Be absolutely sure you check the gas tank level on your rental agreement - otherwise hou'll have a battle on your credit card if you bring a car back with the tank level same as when you drove off the lot. Only good thing is that this location is less than a block from bus stop and that's my only reason for 1 star. read more

I've used this location several times and they've consistently gotten worse and worse. Not only do they not pay attention to customer preferences (I'm a Gold Plus Rewards member); they lack basic customer service skills as well. This past weekend, the first car I was provided did not have satellite radio. I had previously added this preference in my account and talked with customer service to ensure my future rentals would have this feature since I travel out of state when I rent. The manager was able to switch my rental to a car that had satellite radio, but when we went out to verify it was working, the car reeked of marijuana. The manager was adamant that it was not marijuana but "the car did smell funky", so he switched me to yet another car -- but no car available had satellite radio. To add to the situation, when I asked for a customer service number to call regarding the marijuana, he said that he would "handle it" and it was not necessary for me to talk to anyone. I'll be looking to take my business elsewhere; this time was the last for me. read more
