Give the key to the hotel. One week later, I get etoll charge. Go back, was told to call the number on the transaction information on my credit card. Called the number, says to go online and fill a form. I fill the form, give screenshot of all the vtp till I paid and wait 2 week. Get answer saying the toll I'm due aren't in the vtp list and I'll get a partial refund. No more information on what or when. I reply with a GPS tracking proof of all my transit the 2 days I had the car where we clearly see all toll occured and I ask more information on what toll I supposedly did, when it occured with the date and time and remind them that I didn't had the car after 10pm. To this day, more then 2 weeks later , I'm still waiting. Done waiting, I've asked my credit card to reverse the charge. I'm not paying because someone used the car after I dropped it. That's stealing.

My husband ran over a pothole, which required him to have his car in for service. He got a rental car through his insurance, which is how we ended up with Hertz. We called Hertz corporate who transferred my husband to the local manager. The local manager was completely apathetic to the fact that their employee left the location early, stating that the employee probably left early because they weren't expecting anyone. That doesn't make sense because the insurance company sent over the request AND confirmed the location was open until 5 p.m. There was no apology for the inconvenience either. Worst rental experience I've ever had with Avis…read more I do want to recognize the young lady at the counter, Luz, I believe was her name, who was absolutely amazing and very helpful. Unfortunately, everything else about this experience was extremely disappointing. There were numerous unexpected fees and policies that were not clearly explained at the time of the rental. My original reservation indicated a return time of 5:00 p.m., yet the rental was somehow changed to a noon return. To make matters worse, the return location I was assigned did not have a drop box. Due to accidents and heavy traffic, I was unfortunately delayed in returning the vehicle. I attempted to contact the rental location directly, but it is nearly impossible to reach anyone at the actual location because everything is routed through a call center. This rental was already an unexpected expense that I was forced to incur because of an emergency. After everything that happened, I was then charged an additional $150 for being approximately three hours late. That is absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable, especially considering the circumstances and the lack of clear communication regarding the return time and location. I understand that late fees may apply, but an additional $150 for three hours, particularly when my reservation originally reflected a 5:00 p.m. return, is excessive.
