I Rented a car through my insurance company and I was supposed to get a car that was $30 a day they gave me a car that was $ 36 and this was never explained to me that the car was $36 a day so after renting the car and a $500 deductible Hertz charge me $193.96 in addition not explaining to me that the car was more than my rental agreement don't rent a car from this place they are horrible they do underhanded things once they get your credit card . read more

A message was left on my phone regarding my rental and balance. No information on how to get a live person on return call. When finally did through multiple calls and prompt pushing was put on hold for 30 minutes when I hung up and called back. A VERY non helpful and flippant person named Ashley (with sounds of children in the backround) did not answer my question. Another person named Maria who said she was an assistant manager came on the line and asked about my question then gave me back to Ashley who again was so arrogant and dissmissive that I finally hung up and called the 3 D collision place where my car is being repaired and said if they continue to use Hertz I will never bring my car there again. Asked them to have a manager call me to FINALLY answer my questions. This is not a company but a couple of young people in a house with children, trying but no succeeding to do business. They were completely unaffected by my saying I was on hold for 30 minutes from my first call. Maybe serving the children breakfast and forgetting about work. I would suggest no one go through this. Believe the Bad Reviews - Go Elsewhere. We reserved a vehicle a month in advance and I even called a few days before and everything seemed fine. We go there to pick up the vehicle at the set date and time and were met with an indifferent employee who told us they have no cars and have been "texting" all morning to try to find out when cars were being delivered. She had my reservation which naturally includes my name and contact info and I asked why they waited until we got there to tell us rather than call us in advance. She had no good answer for that. Even if a vehicle is available, avoid this location as it looks like an abandoned lot in a sketchy area. read more

Never rent from Hertz!!! I reserved a car through an well know 3rd party company. I go to pick up the rental and entered into the shadiest and smelliest office I have ever been in. That should have been clue #1. The rep tells me they have no cars available. I calll the customer service phone number they provided. The rep apologizes and tells me another rental location near my location has a car and they were going to arrange it. I drove to the second location only to be told there are no cars available once again. Hertz needs to invest in advancing their technology so that customers don't end up running around trying to rent a car. read more

Aamer Ahmed told me the total fee with taxes took my card (Amex Gold which covers my insurance, plus my own insurance) and swiped my card. I then found out that Aamer Ahmed had charged me for both the top insurance and the second tier. His name is Aamer Ahmed. They must have really gotten their act together because I have nothing but great things to say. Olivia helped me and couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. Amir called me the next day to check on how my car was working. I watched their interactions with the other customers and saw the same as I experienced. I really can't complain. After renting a car on sunday i experienced problems. When you call to address them they say "its not my problem", "i don't care" and "i didn't rent this car to you" although it's the exact location you picked it up. They don't maintain the cars or inspections. The first car had an ant and bug infestations which it took 8 hours to replace with a car you couldn't see out the windows and expired inspection stickers. They promised credits but decided they wouldn't honor the credits and told us that my family being jeopardy is not their problem. This is by far the worst company I ever dealt with read more

This is the worst rental ever!. 1- set up rental a week in advance, 830 am pic up @ shop( my car needed to go in shop threw ins), 2- 930 am hertz sent a Lyft , 945am finally a ride to ther dirty shop in a bad area 3- 1 employee @ the counter with 6 customers waiting Fr service ahead of me , 4- cars weren't ready Fr customers also rentals weren't even at that location . 5-second employee strolls in now @ 1030am ( Like I said my pic up was 830a, now 2 hours later 6- finally my turn they take me to mini van , smh not the suv I was suppose to get, it had ketchup on the back seats ,dried grape juice dripping frm the stearing column al the way dwn to the carpet, I said to employee , r u serious abt this , she replied in a cocky, snide way " do u want us to clean it again" it wasn't cleaned in the first place 7-after 31/2 hr got a car , 8 -this place had the worst , worst customer service / attitudes / quality and did I mention the idk disposition .... save yr self a night mare wish u cld do zero stars read more

I would give this place zero stars if possible! Without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I was only suppose to pay $6 a day while my insurance paid the rest. They offered insurance for the car for an additional $23 a day without letting me know I was already covered through my personal insurance company. They charged my card multiple times without notifying me. I had the rental for 24 days and when I took the car back I owed $27 which I paid. The next day they charged me $285!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called them and they said it was a hold and it would fall off and when I called my bank there was no hold, they took it. Worst experience ever do not go here. read more

The worst location ever. I have been ripped off. I already called their complaint line to no avail. I had to return my first vehicle because it needed repairs and the manager Travis Epps told me he would adjust the charges for the vehicle he exchanged for me. Of course it's no notes because this is the practices you teach your management to lie and steal from the customer. I was so unhappy with the service I received from this company. first I rented the last cargo van getting there only to find out the girl who ended her shift took the key home with her by accident. Had to pick up the van the next morning in the Upper Darby location which inconvenienced our plans and no compensation was even offered just an i'm sorry that happened. then when I was to drop the van back off the office was closed and the girl was late but a man in a car was sitting outside stating he can take the car while the woman was on the car phone saying it was ok to give him the key and she would email me the receipt. OK so i'm handing a key over to some random guy how bought having a drop box installed. I called the office two times and was told the account was closed and I would receive an email shortly. the end of the day came and went and I never received that email. the only reason i'm giving a star at all is because the very nice lady Jaleesa at the Media location did her best to try and rectify the initial missing key issue and none of this was her fault. I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. Now I have to wait it out till i'm refunded the $200 security hold on my credit card as well as that receipt I was told I was getting. We rented a car at this location on a Saturday morning. When we arrived, the rental rate was significantly higher than what we were told over the phone about 10 or 15 minutes earlier. Then, it took the gentleman at the counter a solid 25 minutes to process our rental. As it turned out, the rental car had not been washed. When we were about three miles away, we noticed that the fuel tank was actually only half-full while the rental agreement indicated that it was 8/8 FULL! So, we turned around and drove directly back to this Hertz location. As we were pulling into the parking lot, the gentleman who processed our rental was pulling out. We attempted to flag him down, but he drove off. We did get the fuel shortage straightened out when we called corporate headquarters and navigated through their very complex system. The bottom line: We will NEVER use this rental agency again! read more

This was by far my worse experience with renting a car. The car was filthy inside and out whomever rented prior had an animal in the car there was hair on the seats and a smell coming from the car. When I asked the associate if they cleaned the cars prior to renting they told me "if they get time". No one offered to clean this just to switch it out. I was given a peice of paper with other locations and numbers to call myself. I had to ask if that was normal practice that the customer has to call around to swap and then someone offered to call. Then I had to go to the Gray's Ferry location. So I had to drive the dirty smelly car there then once I arrived there I was told if the car was too dirty they wouldn't switch it out. Thank god they switched it but the car I received was no better. Outside was dirty to the point it was hard to figure out if there were scratches or just dirt on the car the young lady just said "oh thats dirt, not a scratch". I am very upset, frustrated and will never rent nor refer anyone to Hertz. I should have went to enterprise and paid the extra money. Customer service horrible only person willing to help was Travis at the Upper Darby location once I asked. I tried calling their corporate office and couldn't get through. I pray my personal vehicle is fixe soon so I can give them back this trash of a car. read more
