My car has been back two additional times for. problems with the transmission. This last time has…read morebeen a nightmare. I was given one date and when the date arrived was told the shop had been broken into and my keys were stolen. Theu told they would have to get another key made. It'a been over one week and they said it was a unique key and would need several more days. when I called on the last day my truck was supposed to be ready I was then told they had trouble finding the right engine and were just dropping the engine in that day. I didn't receive a rental car just excuses and still don't have my car. It's clear that thus shop is not the quality shop it had been reported to be. Too many excuses and still problems with my car. I would not recommend this shop unless you wan to continuously be without a car.

I should've taken the negative views seriously about this auto shop, I wanted give it a shot and…read morethought I'd be lucky, but just like the previous customers said " HORRIBLE!" Today around noon, I brought my car there to do a wheel alignment, no appointment needed, and the price was about same with other shops, I was thinking it's pretty good. It took about an hour to get it done, so I went back to the shop, when I was paying, the owner(?) in the office, told me, there're two bolts on the back, are pretty rusted, they couldn't loosen it to do the back wheels alignment, but the price I paid $110.77 is for 4 wheels alignment. They should tell me when they couldn't do the back wheel alignment before, but they didn't. When I drove my car back home, I was suspicious, so I checked the front tire rods, and found out they used welder or something else to loose the outer and the inner nuts, because they were too tight, they damaged the inner rods threads , and on the right side, one boot clamp is missing! Really poor service and unprofessional! My and the previous customers suggestion , never never go to this shop! I know something about cars, if you don't, you wouldn't even know what they'd done to your car! Wonder if there's some agency could help get the money due to this kinds of suck service. So now I just pray that my car will last for a while.

Nice! I still went ahead with it. It took a little longer than expected since they couldn't find the key to my wheel lug nuts (surprise!) Which would have caused havoc if that had happened on the side of the road. Glad they found the issue. Ready the next day and for a reasonable charge. OUTSTANDING!!! I have a 2003 Jeep TJ with a 5-speed manual transmission. After hearing some…read morenoises, something broke and my drive train locked up. I figured I broke something in the transmission (judging from past experience with a different vehicle). Most transmission shops in the area refuse to touch a manual transmission. I went to see Mark at Cottman Transmission in New Castle. He showed no hesitation whatsoever. After we talked, he immediately dispatched a tow truck, at no charge, to pick up my vehicle (on a busy Friday) and had my Jeep in his shop within the hour. On Monday, he had determined that the problem was broken gears in the rear differential, and NOT in my transmission. This was good news! He gave me a very fair estimate, and I picked up my fully repaired Jeep on Wednesday after paying a few dollars UNDER the original estimate. In addition, he had checked out the rest of the drive train to ensure everything was in good shape. Overall, the service from Cottman Transmission in New Castle was excellent, and Mark was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and very responsive. Honest, reliable, and eager to serve a first time customer, I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and I highly recommend this shop. Lastly, I have a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 with a Chevy 350 in need of a new transmission, and I look forward to working with Mark to get it back on the road for the spring Jeep season!
